This didn't feel like a restaurant. This felt like visiting a close family member and the minute you walk in the door they tell you not to worry because they are about to make you an awesome meal. We are traveling through and wasn't sure if we wanted to venture too far off the highway but this place was worth double the drive. Our family all had burgers though their menu has quite a few more different items on it. Everything was prepared beyond perfection. Zero complaints from anyone at our table about anything. The service was some of the best and most friendly we have had in quite a long time. I so wish this place was closer to home. Skip all the big chain places and stop here to eat. I hadn't ordered from this restaurant in a couple years because I didn't care for their food but my husband suggested we try them again last week so I gave in. I'm so glad I did as the food was so good! We just got burgers and fries and onion rings but they were delicious!!! The onion rings may be the best I've ever had! The best hamburgers! I usually get the western burger or A1 burger. Both are really good. My husband loves their fries bologna. We usually share the fries because they are so generous with them. They also have onion rings that I love! Gotta try this place out. read more

We stopped in on our way from California to DC. It's a bit off the highway, but I messed up the freeway interchange anyway, so we stopped. Everything was freshly cooked with high quality ingredients. We've had our fair share of specialty burgers, and if this place were in the city, it'd be slammed. Since we had our dog and cat with us for our cross-country move, they were kind about letting us sit outside on the patio. As far as covid goes, no masks here. Recently moved to White Pine. Drove past this place many times. Then we decided to try it. Now we eat there three times a week! My favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak. Same as previous review with a couple differences. Now it's a lot louder inside, no possible conversation will occur. Music playing with workers yelling over that along with general cooking sounds. Drink selection is poor. If you don't like Pepsi, Mt. Dew or Root Beer you are pretty much out of luck. This time it was around 25 minutes before we received our food. I can't remember if that was the case last time, but it wasn't quick before. Prices have went up, although I understand that part. read more

What a hidden gem!! Love love love this place. I discovered this place a little over a year ago and meant to write a review before now. It's located off of highway 25. The lady who runs this place is named Carolyn, is extremely pleasant and is always there to suggest something new. I love the cheeseburger here. Once I get past that I will let ya know. Small place with 7 tables. Friendly folks who run the place. If you find yourself in White Pine pass by the chains and go to the burger barn! We were in town due to my grandmother passing away. Looking at the options for lunch we saw Burger Barn and it had some great reviews. We arrived around 2pm just after the rush. We watched them make our food fresh and even make sweet tea (out in the sun). Small place has 6 tables on the inside and a few outside. It was very clean. We had burgers with fries and onion rings. Just when I said Littons had the best burgers I stop in THIS place. They make the patties right there. They cut a potato for your fries on the spot. ( unless you opt for onion rings or crinkle fries). The burgers are thick and juicy. I asked for medium but the lady said they can't for health reasons. Understandable, cuts liability... But I was expecting a dry flavorless burger. Spent a bit more than I would at a fast food place and waited longer than McDonald's. The wait was totally worth it! I have never sat and licked the wrapper of a burger till now. It was more laying in the box when I got to my car, I was going to just take a bite and head down the road... Ended up eating every drop and licking the paper. The home fries sealed the fate that THIS is my new favorite burger place. I just hope work sends me this way more... First time eating here. Was not greeted when I came in. Was not to friendly but they were young. Clean little place to eat minus the table I sat at was a little sticky. My onion rings were burnt. . . But with all that said the hamburger was absolutely delicious. It made up for the rest. The taste of the hamburger I dont know where they get there beef from but wow was it juicey and good. I feel it was average priced for a non fast food burger joint. Took about 8 minutes to get my food. That burger though! If you want a burger give this place a try. read more

They make their own onion rings...I would have given 5 stars if they had onion rings...they had just sold the last order and it would have taken 30 minutes for a new batch. We have a family lake house in Dandridge, TN and there are few decent dining options within 30 min of here. We found Burger Barn on Yelp and gave it a try. The burgers did not disappoint! They were lean and very homemade tasting. The fries were good, although a bit on the salty side. The two women running the restaurant were very nice, and gave us good service. The burger was fantastic, one of the best I've had, and the onion rings are hand-battered deliciousness. It was a sit-down restaurant kind of wait for the food, but totally worth it.
