Diet Pepsi
Shelby G.

Excellent friendly customer service, lots of parking, looks to have a great menu, just ordered a large diet soda (Pepsi products), looked a bit pricy but huge food selections. Quite a few people eating or waiting for orders. Cool outdoor eating for spring summer and fall.

An absolute must stop when visiting Bridgeport! Their breakfast menu is to die for! There is free parking available as well as outdoor seating. The staff is all very friendly and give great recommendations on the menu. I got the happy pig breakfast burrito and I highly recommend getting a side of their green salsa to go with it! Carnitas were made fresh that morning and I am still day dreaming about it!

Crowded at noon in summer, but well-worth the wait in line. And the food came out quickly. Definitely got my money's worth. Carne asada fries is HUGE. Next time I want to try the Bacon Blue Burger. Service was friendly and fast. They prefer cash, but also take card.

One of the only places that actually seasoned the burger meat, Soild meal and great service. It's nothing to go crazy over but it's filling and well made. I would go back again.

Stopped by here on our way to Mammoth Lakes and they did not disappoint. We parked and saw the line, so we knew the food was good. You walk up and place your order then receive a ticket. All seating is outdoor w/ umbrellas for each table. We placed our order with the sweet cashier, who answered all of our questions. The food came out in less than 10mins; Entrees: Bison cheeseburger, 1/4lb cheeseburger Sides: onion rings and sweet potato fries Everything was fresh and tasted like heaven. All burgers are served w/ lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and thousand island sauce. We definitely ate with our eyes. The portions are generous and burger are juicy and flavorful. This is a must-try if you're in the area. Enter freely they've been approved

Meat Lovers breakfast burrito...HUGE!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Burger Barn IS OFFICIALLY OPEN for the 2026 season! Official first paying customer of the 2026 season, reporting in! Been eating here for years, and along with all other places in town, you just can't go wrong with this place, no matter what you order! This morning specifically, I got another meat lovers breakfast burrito. So big, easily enough for two people! But I would suggest buying one, and saving half to eat on later, because it's that good. I've ordered probably everything on the menu at one point in time or another. Everything is always great, and please keep in mind. EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH TO ORDER, So during peak season, there's usually a line of people. So just be patient, because it will be worth the wait! The burgers are amongst the best along the 395! Julio is one of the cooks, and that boy knows his way around the kitchen! Cheryl is the owner, and is usually taking your order at the counter. She is one of the most wonderful women in all of Bridgeport! They have outdoor seating, and across the parking lot I believe there's still indoor seating, but I haven't been in there in years. Aside from great food, You're almost guaranteed to run into PCT hikers, campers, fisherman, etc, and most have interesting stories to tell! Thanks for the burrito guys! I'll stop back in and see ya next time I'm home! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Always a fan favorite. The owner, staff and cooks are wonderful. This place is very popular with both locals and tourists. And if you go to Bridgeport for a visit you probably return year after year and know that The Burger Barn is a Bridgeport Gem. The menu is loaded with breakfast, lunch and dinner choices for everyone. Meat lovers including Bison, chicken lovers, and vegetarians as well will find something to order. They have wonderful sinful sides like assorted fries, zucchini, onoin rings, macaroni and cheese, etc. And don't get me started on the shakes and malts. The breakfast burritos are not to be missed. The tacos are huge. The taco salad is wonderful as well. Need I go on? Oh yeah, and Nicole is the best!

Lots of ample outdoor eating area.

One of my joys in my on-the-road travels is finding gems along the way. The Burger Barn is one of those when I overnighted in Bridgeport up and down U.S. 395. It's a roadside joint, the kind that reminds you of an America of the past when drive-ins were a thing. It serves up basic fare, no frills and some Mexican dishes as an extension of their respectable menu. I travel the 395 corridor as part of my meanderings and on this last stop, it was an absolute joy to be serve by an older woman who was so nice and kind. It just goes to show how much a personality can add to your perspective of a place. The food is good each time I've gone and I've no doubt it'll be good and reliable the next time I go through this neck of the woods. I am delighted to always visit this place and a bonus to patronize a local business and support a mom-n-pop enterprise.

Bison burger. So yum

Best chicken strips on the 395, and not to mention the best ranch. Delicious shakes and overflowing fry baskets--what more could you want!

Ask the Community - Burger Barn

I have loved the Burger Barn since the 1980s......I've recently learned that seeds and my gut don't mix. May I get a burger on something other than a sesame seed bun? If not, I'm still good because the carnitas are to die for!!

Not sure if they have another bun option, but you could always get it lettuce wrapped.

Cutest little place!…read more I was visiting Tahoe for the very first time and went to the buckeye Hot Springs with a friend , we camped overnight and went to this place for breakfast and I was so incredibly happy that we did! What a charming quaint perfect little mountain town restaurant. The service was amazing ,our waitress, I wanna say her name was Lauren, but this was last week and now I can't remember. was so nice and helpful because I have decision paralysis and wanted everything. I got the breakfast burrito, which was absolutely huge and I was so happy that I had half for breakfast The next day. My friend got the banana French toast and it was sweet and tasty. We also got a side of biscuits of gravy. Everything was so so so good and the portions are huge.! They also do a fish habitat where they raise certain types of fish and you could feed them, which was fun. They also had it decorated for Halloween, which I love. 10 out of 10

It was previously a worthy stop-off when the trip north or south was long and you needed a decent quality comfort-food bite on the fly. Sadly, this restaurant is now crossed off my list of options. Pricing here has gotten out of control (a hamburger is 30-35 dollars....a *hamburger* ?!?), with service nothing particularly special. So you will be paying roughly double, or more, for the price of a menu roughly equivalent to the quality of an Applebee's. The restaurant will argue these are the new inflationary market prices, supply demand dynamics, summer travel pricing to offset slower winter travel season, etc etc. But reaming the customer ain't a great recipe for having folks like me ever returning. It simply isn't worth it to dine here anymore, so I will keep driving past Virginia Creek Settlement and wave.

They also have plenty of seats indoor as well. Their menu is extensive, mainly serving burgers, sandwiches, salads, or soup with some pastries available at the counter or fridge. My partner ended up getting their Mono Burger while I got their Salad and Soup (Soup of the Day). We chose to do outdoor seating and there were quite a few birds flittering around. Our order came relatively quickly. Soup of the day today was sweet potato soup and it is just like it's name - a creamy sweet potato soup and it was yum. No frills or anything added which is perfectly great. As for the salad, it was just a standard house salad with some lettuce, tomatoes, croutons and such. I opted for the honey balsamic dressing and it's a nice, fresh choice after backpacking. My partner's burger was massive. It came with 1/2 lb beef - it was a massive meat patty! But he said it was delicious and well earned. We also got a salted caramel brownie which was decadent! It's a little dense, but super chocolatey and I love the crackly top layer with some caramel drizzle.

We came with a group of 8, and everyone ordered something different. Everyone really enjoyed their ice cream, so that's definitely a plus :) One thing to be aware of the parking lot right in front has a big dip. If you have a lower vehicle or one with side steps, you may want to park on the side instead. Our friend's truck scraped the side rails pulling in :/ The only downside was the service. My order was made incorrectly, and instead of fixing it, the employee insisted it was correct .. even though it wasn't Since it was only a kids (tot) size (about $4), I didn't want to make a big deal out of it and just ate what I was given. However, I did felt feel after our group had ordered eight ice creams, remaking one small order would've been an easy way to provide good customer service but they chose not to. ‍ Overall, the ice cream was good, there were plenty of flavor options, and it's a cute place to stop if you're craving something sweet.
