One of the only places that actually seasoned the burger meat, Soild meal and great service. It's nothing to go crazy over but it's filling and well made. I would go back again.

For a funky looking roadside diner the food is surprisingly delicious with large portions. Wifey really liked her hamburger and fries and my taco bowl was awesome. Way more than I could eat.

Stopped by here on our way to Mammoth Lakes and they did not disappoint. We parked and saw the line, so we knew the food was good. You walk up and place your order then receive a ticket. All seating is outdoor w/ umbrellas for each table. We placed our order with the sweet cashier, who answered all of our questions. The food came out in less than 10mins; Entrees: Bison cheeseburger, 1/4lb cheeseburger Sides: onion rings and sweet potato fries Everything was fresh and tasted like heaven. All burgers are served w/ lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and thousand island sauce. We definitely ate with our eyes. The portions are generous and burger are juicy and flavorful. This is a must-try if you're in the area. Enter freely they've been approved

Always a fan favorite. The owner, staff and cooks are wonderful. This place is very popular with both locals and tourists. And if you go to Bridgeport for a visit you probably return year after year and know that The Burger Barn is a Bridgeport Gem. The menu is loaded with breakfast, lunch and dinner choices for everyone. Meat lovers including Bison, chicken lovers, and vegetarians as well will find something to order. They have wonderful sinful sides like assorted fries, zucchini, onoin rings, macaroni and cheese, etc. And don't get me started on the shakes and malts. The breakfast burritos are not to be missed. The tacos are huge. The taco salad is wonderful as well. Need I go on? Oh yeah, and Nicole is the best!

Lots of ample outdoor eating area.

One of my joys in my on-the-road travels is finding gems along the way. The Burger Barn is one of those when I overnighted in Bridgeport up and down U.S. 395. It's a roadside joint, the kind that reminds you of an America of the past when drive-ins were a thing. It serves up basic fare, no frills and some Mexican dishes as an extension of their respectable menu. I travel the 395 corridor as part of my meanderings and on this last stop, it was an absolute joy to be serve by an older woman who was so nice and kind. It just goes to show how much a personality can add to your perspective of a place. The food is good each time I've gone and I've no doubt it'll be good and reliable the next time I go through this neck of the woods. I am delighted to always visit this place and a bonus to patronize a local business and support a mom-n-pop enterprise.

Burger barn is a town staple, everything you want and more! Kind service and a perfect location right off of Main Street whether you're a local or passing through. Everything on the menu is delicious! You won't be disappointed!

Maybe the best chicken sandwich ever! Milkshakes are phenom too. Outdoor seating only and occasional flies. Hilarious begging cowbirds.

    Grilled chicken wrap, so good!

Best milkshakes, hands down. My husband got the chicken wrap, it was so good and cheesy!

Cheeseburger, fries, root beer and blueberry shake. Yum.

Very fast service, even with a line 30 minutes before closing. The fries are outstanding and as a bonus they have organic ketchup packets - much more tomato flavor than the vinegary Heinz. I also had a cheeseburger and blueberry shake. The shakes are so thick you might need a spoon! Burgers have nice thick slices of onion and tomato, cooked just right. It's not cheap, you're in a remote tourist town and should recognize that.

Next day we went back and got the meat lovers Breakfast burrito, so dang good and absolutely shareable. Breakfast ends at 10-10:30am

Stop here!!! Get a double and something fried and a homemade drink. Pictured is a custom double cheese burger with pepper jack, mustard and exxtra pickles, a double western bacon cheese burger, waffle sweet potatoe fries, and the goud Mac and cheese bite. We also got a huge fresh lemonade and homemade Horchata. Everything was absolutely fiiiire! The staff is kind, patient, helpful, sweet and greet you with a smile. After a quick chat through the order window we enjoyed our delicious meal on the patio seating. This is snack bar style so no indoor seating. I go emotional after we left, I know it sounds odd but good service, food AND atmosphere is hard to come by and they checked all boxes. After a 4,000 mile road trip, this was our final stop and I will make sure to visit every time I'm in the area. We are camping at Travertine and went back for breakfast in the morning to try their meat lovers BB and COLD BREW FLOAT! Genius! Perfection! Go support this local gem and enjoy!

Food was delicious. Portions were very filling. Owner very friendly. There is an outdoor seating area that was dog friendly.

YUM! not just a place to eat because you're absolutely starving either, it's actually REALLY good! Been here twice,, once on the way to Reno and then on the way back from Reno. Service is great, people are small town friendly, love that! Food is very fresh and you get pretty big servings, enough to share. Burgers are great, many choices including Bison and again, large enough to share. Sweet potato fries are so darn good, actually taste like sweet potatoes and not thin, burnt grease strips. Milkshakes are good, from what I hear and there's a lot of different and interesting flavors to choose from. Beans and rice are great, homemade tasting with lots of flavor. Stop by while you're out traveling the area, it's a little gem for sure.

    Bison burger. So yum

I have loved the Burger Barn since the 1980s......I've recently learned that seeds and my gut don't mix. May I get a burger on something other than a sesame seed bun? If not, I'm still good because the carnitas are to die for!!

Not sure if they have another bun option, but you could always get it lettuce wrapped.

I loved the stockyard vibes of the patio that sits just off main street and I imagined watching a parade or enjoying one of the town's special events from there. The patio also has a big stage and quite a bit of outdoor seating, suggesting good times there too. The brewery is small and they make 6-7 styles. There was a solid local vibe and constituency enjoying the beers here. The bartender was friendly, talked to us a bit about the beers and was quick to provide samples to help us make a selection. I chose the red ale and enjoyed the roasted malt flavor. At the end of the day, this is a microbrewery in a small town. I rarely drink beer anymore but this one went down so nicely, which I think was because I knew I was supporting a small local business. Cheers to Big Meadow.

They have a beautiful outdoor eating area with good shade options. The menu is surprisingly extensive for such a tiny spot. Burgers, fries, and shakes are all excellent, like "wow, I wish I could get burgers this good when I'm not here" level good. They even carry gluten free buns for those of us who can't eat wheat, and they're shockingly good! They also have good options for vegetarians. I'm always raving to my friends that they should stop here to eat when on the East Side. It's an absolute gem.

Now serving LOCAL Park Ranch Beef? SAY LESS and GIMME MORE!…read more Can't believe this is my first review of Walker Burger, as I've likely stopped here a dozen times over the years. A roadside burger, fresh and hot fries, and a rich creamy milkshake are a necessary part of every trip through the area, and whenever we're between here and Mammoth, Walker Burger is THE STOP. For starters, the vibes are just perfect. The wait in line is where it starts, as the sun is typically beating down as you wait to order in the dirt parking lot, making the shade from the narrow porch and the friendly hello from the order taker your first reward for being here. Usually I'm hungry from a busy morning of breaking down camp, and a 1/4lb Walker Burger with American cheese, fresh veggies and secret sauce on a fluffy fresh seeded soft bun always hits. Summer time usually has me ordering a fresh seasonal fruit shake (peach) but honestly every shake is fantastic and I also LOVE the coffee shakes, which are made with real coffee and coffee beans for extra punch. Fries are always hot and fresh, and best of all they come out crispy without asking for it! Service is always friendly and fun too. What makes this spot special is the garden dining. Picnic tables are scattered throughout a well shaded area offering travelers a cool and relaxing area to enjoy their food. We've definitely done this a few times, but typically take it to go and enjoy it (and the glorious mess) on the way home. Walker Burger is a MUST! Have you been?
