Ladies and Gentlemen, Burger Barn IS OFFICIALLY OPEN for the 2026 season! Official first paying customer of the 2026 season, reporting in! Been eating here for years, and along with all other places in town, you just can't go wrong with this place, no matter what you order! This morning specifically, I got another meat lovers breakfast burrito. So big, easily enough for two people! But I would suggest buying one, and saving half to eat on later, because it's that good. I've ordered probably everything on the menu at one point in time or another. Everything is always great, and please keep in mind. EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH TO ORDER, So during peak season, there's usually a line of people. So just be patient, because it will be worth the wait! The burgers are amongst the best along the 395! Julio is one of the cooks, and that boy knows his way around the kitchen! Cheryl is the owner, and is usually taking your order at the counter. She is one of the most wonderful women in all of Bridgeport! They have outdoor seating, and across the parking lot I believe there's still indoor seating, but I haven't been in there in years. Aside from great food, You're almost guaranteed to run into PCT hikers, campers, fisherman, etc, and most have interesting stories to tell! Thanks for the burrito guys! Burger Barn in Bridgeport I tried to call ahead to get a to go order but the # listed on Yelp kept ringing busy. Maybe they had other calls or just don't have a working phone. One of my joys in my on-the-road travels is finding gems along the way. The Burger Barn is one of those when I overnighted in Bridgeport up and down U.S. 395. It's a roadside joint, the kind that reminds you of an America of the past when drive-ins were a thing. It serves up basic fare, no frills and some Mexican dishes as an extension of their respectable menu. I travel the 395 corridor as part of my meanderings and on this last stop, it was an absolute joy to be serve by an older woman who was so nice and kind. It just goes to show how much a personality can add to your perspective of a place. The food is good each time I've gone and I've no doubt it'll be good and reliable the next time I go through this neck of the woods. They will make any flavor shake (I ordered chocolate raspberry), any way you like it. I like mine thin, and it was. I added malt for $1. Very generous with the guacamole on my Mexi-Bowl. Very fast service, even with a line 30 minutes before closing. The fries are outstanding and as a bonus they have organic ketchup packets - much more tomato flavor than the vinegary Heinz. Pictured is a custom double cheese burger with pepper jack, mustard and exxtra pickles, a double western bacon cheese burger, waffle sweet potatoe fries, and the goud Mac and cheese bite. We also got a huge fresh lemonade and homemade Horchata. Everything was absolutely fiiiire! The staff is kind, patient, helpful, sweet and greet you with a smile. After a quick chat through the order window we enjoyed our delicious meal on the patio seating. This is snack bar style so no indoor seating. I go emotional after we left, I know it sounds odd but good service, food AND atmosphere is hard to come by and they checked all boxes. Service is great, people are small town friendly, love that! Food is very fresh and you get pretty big servings, enough to share. Burgers are great, many choices including Bison and again, large enough to share. Sweet potato fries are so darn good, actually taste like sweet potatoes and not thin, burnt grease strips. Pullin into Bridgeport and it's just about lunch time. Burger Barn fixes some great burgers and fries. The parking is a little weird on this main street in that the diagonal parking is backwards, like you need to back into the spot rather than drive straight into them. I guess this was because there were too many crashes with people backing up into the traffic. Actually, kinda smart way of fixing the safety problem. There is no parking directly in front of the Burger barn. This place can be popular on weekends. The main thing here are burgers and fries. The burgers do not come with fries, just so you know. The meat patties are 1/4 pounders, so not the big fat patties of some places, but the prices reflect this and you have the option to get a double burger for a 1/2 pound of meat. Heck, yeah, that's what I'm getting, double cheese burger! The fries are enough to share for 2 people so get your burgers and share the fries. Stumbled upon this little cute burger joint after a day spent at Travertine Hot Springs! Seating is only outdoors, but they do have patio umbrellas if you prefer some shade. They also have a small private parking lot as well. This place offers a variety of foods to pick from! I ordered the steak taco, steak mexi-bowl, zucchini fries, French fries, sweet potato fries, and a cheeseburger. I definitely didn't finish everything, but I will say everything was freshly made and super delicious!
