Probably the worst experience I've had thus far with a company. I do not recommend using their…read moreservice. A few months ago, I called to make an apt as we needed additional vents installed in our home for our central air system. We had removed one of the return lines through renovation and because of that our first floor wasn't cooling as much. A month later they sent a technician to take a look at the job. Technician was here for less than a half hour, I have the cameras on the property to prove it. The tech showed up, took pictures and then left. As he was leaving I was left feeling confused wondering why did we wait a month and half for an appointment if he was just going to show up take pictures and leave. I asked him what the next step was as he was leaving and he said the service manager will get in contact with you... no one ever called, I ended up having to call the office to make the follow up appointment. Accepted it and gave them the benefit of the doubt, until I received a bill from them this week for 2.5hrs, $390.83 with tax. Again, confused... why am I receiving a bill? He came out to look at the job for a quote. No service was done, the tech wasn't here for 2.5 hrs - he was here for less than 30 minutes. Took some photos and left. I called the office this morning, questioning the bill I received. They explained that it was because they sent a tech out so they charge for technician services. I explained that he came out for a quote, he didn't perform any services? Clearly a miscommunication between the customer and the admin on who should have been sent over, right? After arguing for 5 minutes - I get - "we can wipe away the bill but we can never do service with you again"... And I said OK and the admin (Courtney) hung up on me! Dumbfounded, I was a first time customer of this company and the lack of customer service was unbelievable. Throughout the entire process. Not once was I validated that there was potentially a mistake in the communication. Instead I was hung up on! You guys wasted three months of my time! My recommendation to the owner is that #1 you should probably invested in customer service training for your admins and #2 communication skill training so that they can articulate and clarify via phone the difference between a service appointment and a quote... Needless to say, I canceled the follow up appointment. I recommend saving yourself the hassle and take your money and go elsewhere.

I cannot say enough about the quality service that we received from the Heat People Inc. In 2008 we…read morebought our house brand new. Every year I paid for our service company (which was not The Heat People Inc.) to come out and service and clean our furnace every year. Well last night...in the middle of a snow storm our furnace shut off completely and we were not able to reset it. We called our service company that usually does the work and they did not respond to our call even though we left a message saying that it was an emergency ( less then 20 degrees outside with a 2 year old in the house). My husband found The Heat People Inc. in the phone book. We got a call back in minutes and within 20 minutes a technician was at our door even though we never got service from them before. The technician, Greg, was awesome! After taking it all a part he showed us exactly what he was doing and why. It turns out that our furnace was so clogged and caked with carbon that it was never actually cleaned as evidenced by the original manufactured paint still on all the screws and parts. His level of expertise, time, and personable nature really impressed us. Not to mention such a reasonable price for the time it took him. We highly recommend this company and will be working with them on all our furnace, oil delivery, and central air needs We can't thank them enough!

He installed my boiler (improperly - he continues to insist it was done correctly but 2 heating contractors have now told me the installation was not done correctly) and 2 years later it's costing me a ridiculous amount of money to fix. No one that works for him has any idea what they are doing. I was charged $200 per hour for the technician to sit on the phone in his van with tech support for over 2 hours! For all I know I was being charged $200 per hour for that guy to talk to his girlfriend! This company has no scruples so I wouldn't put it past them! Besides, I didn't realize customers now foot the bill for on the job training! If you have money to burn use this company but money will be the only thing burning if you do - it certainly won't be your boiler!

I found Q's on Yelp and looked at the reviews and contacted Mark (the owner). He got back to me very quickly! When my furnace had issues they came out same day and the price didn't break my budget. Chris and Mike came out and serviced my furnace, they were professional, quick and efficient. I can't recommend them enough to everyone I know. The prices are great, the wait time wasn't bad and the quality is awesome. Now I don't have to worry about my furnace going into winter. One less worry!!

Bob Laudette, owner of James Carboni Plumbing and Heating…read morefor over 33 years, was negligent in fulfilling his contract upon the installation of the furnace on December 3, 2019.  "ALL WORK WILL BE PERFORMED IN A NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND WILL MEET OR EXCEED ALL STATE AND LOCAL CODES."   Obviously he did not inspect the installation of the project on December 3 or he was not up to date on building codes.  The building inspector gave him 3 citations for code violations. The chimney clean out door was cemented ..a potential fire hazard. Contrary to Bob Laudette's explanation, the chimney was serviced prior to installation and given a stamp of approval!  The oil line was not protected properly and would cause a major oil leak if someone tripped over it and dislodged it; the duct work/ bonnet was installed with major gaps heating the basement to over 90 degrees. Besides the citations for code violations, Bob Laudette has ignored issues with the furnace and units: combustion issues with small explosions, malfunctioning humidifier, blower so powerful it rattles doors, oil leaks, filters to keep the blower working properly and to insure quality of inside air malfunctioning, extensive dust, uniform distribution of heat is deplorable with the basement heated at 90 degrees and the upstairs rooms are cold. All this for $7500? Now Bob Laudette wants to come and service the new furnace three months later after he ignored numerous calls in January and in fact cancelled a service call. At that point, I had to call reputable and licensed contractors to check out the furnace but the problems still persist. I contacted other agencies for help.  Consumer Protection who has limited authority suggested I pursue legal representation.  My mother, Amelia Wakely, expected and paid for what she thought was an up to date working oil furnace. Why would anyone keep a lemon; deal with a company who fails to treat a client in a professional manner or not at all; who does substandard work and delivers a defective product and writes they have a great business ethic!  Could Bob Laudette possibly service the furnace in the future if he can't deliver an up to date American Standard working furnace now? My mother wants her money returned, the furnace and so forth removed, and the mess they left cleaned up. Bob Laudette did not install a system free of charge out of the goodness of his heart. Lastly, my mother's health living under these conditions has deteriorated since the furnace was installed December 3,2019 . With the pandemic, the directive now is to shelter in the safety and comfort of your home. The safety of her home is a health hazard. How insensitive Bob Laudette is to suggest this is a frivolous matter! Hopefully our experience will save someone from grief in the future! Photos supplied upon request!
