An amazing Halloween-decorated house that captured the essence of a "Clown House"... I've never seen so many clowns in one sitting before!!! I highly recommend to come in the daytime to avoid crowds, but the night time is full-on with some live actors and more lively action!!! It was super packed this year and honestly it was my first time coming by due to finding it online. You can take good photos here if you get good angles since there's a lot of good Halloween backdrops. Owners did a great job and you can really see the passion in the decorations and even the acting. Burbank Neighborhood is calm on another day, but this house definitely brings crowds!!! As with any large crowd, be careful and stay vigilant!!! read more

Stroll down the alley and check out the fun mirrors and other fan favorites. We went in the daytime. Then I made my guy take me at night. It was very spooky. The amount of detail is insane. Omg, if you haven't been here, please run! I've always wanted to see this famous Burbank house and I finally made it last night. Such a shame that I waited this long because I live close by. Burbank has always been known to have over the top decorations not just for Halloween but also Christmas time. Thanks to the studio workers who work and reside in Burbank. We get to see their amazing works. Burbank Clown House might be the best Halloween decoration I've ever seen. There's so much to see, not just the front of the house but all the way to the alley. As expected, it was very crowded with lots of people. Several police cars and officers were present to manage flow of traffic and people walking around. I do believe that they're open until tomorrow November 1st so go and see it one last time. Please watch videos I've attached to know what to expect. read more

There is a reason Burbank is called "Halloweentown, USA" by locals: the community takes Halloween VERY seriously - no wonder Tim Burton grew up in the area! From interactive front yard haunted houses to elaborate displays; Burbank residents start decorating in August and REALLY do it up. I'm not talking some inflatables from Lowe's... I'm talking massive structures built from scratch and themed, often live, interactive extravaganzas. The city boasts a decorating contest and there are maps available that aid in the quest of viewing at least 100 of these homes. One of these famous yard displays is the Burbank Clown House which earns more and more fame every year (even being featured on the local Los Angeles news) and rightfully so. Whether or not clowns scare you - the Burbank Town House is a must-see... The Burbank Clown House is located on Ontario Street not far from the Clark intersection and around the corner from the famous 907 Haunted House (a front yard interactive haunted house) that is exactly what its names says: a massively elaborate, detailed evil clown/circus- themed house display that is so large that it basically shuts down the street with crowds, food and merch vendors and spotlights. It's like a fall Halloween festival but for free! The display spares no expense at covering every single inch of the yard and house with moving circus apparatuses, clowns, lights and sounds. There is sooo much to see and definitely creepy for those who are afraid of clowns. But that's not all, no sir! The Burbank Clown House isn't just a spook-tacular display but there are real people in clown costumes who also creep into the display scaring spectators. The best is the little girl (I heard she featured every year) dressed as a clown interacting against the fence with spectators in the most impressive ways: she's creepy, she contorts her body and crab walks (she must take gymnastics), makes epically scary faces and uses a evil possessed little girl voice... she was so great I wanted to take her home! She needs to get into acting (if not already) because she's better than most of the little girls in horror movies in the theaters. The Burbank Clown House also extends to the side of the house down an alleyway with more clown decorations, a free Burbank Clown House photo set up and clowns jumping out whom you can take photos with for $1. The whole experience is genuinely better than some of the costly Los Angeles Halloween events! There is nothing negative to say about the Burbank Clown House - it is absolutely fantastic and great to see on its own or if going to multiple Halloween house displays on the Burbank Halloweentown Map. I can't thank the homeowners enough for providing such amazing free entertainment! I may not live in Burbank - I'm a few blocks away in the North Hollywood Arts District - but these are my people as I too am obsessed with Halloween. This will absolutely be a new annual tradition for me! If you're in Burbank and want to see something truly unique, the Burbank Clown House is a must-visit! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of the most delightfully odd stops l've made in the area. Since so many artists live and work here, we are lucky they choose to share their creativity and invite us to their houses with a grandiose style. Burbank Clown House is a classic example of it. It must be a house underneath it all, but it is an amazing attraction that everyone of any age can enjoy! Music, colors, wheel, so many cool clowns. They have clowns even for photo ops and also as part of the show. The display is huge, mindblowing, photos might not do it justice. This place was cool to go see but on Halloween i went there and it was crazy i got stuck in the alley and couldn't move it was shoulder to shoulder because there was so many people also no houses in that area were passing candy out it was a complete waste of my time because i took my kids to go trick-or-treating in that area and nothing 3 hours to get through and walk a couple of blocks and nothing so we went to another area. read more

If you're in the LA area (mind you LA county is huge), it's definitely a place you want to come check out for the Halloween season. I feel like so many Halloween events are so pricey nowadays and while I'm sure they're fun, there's something so nostalgic about the clown house! It's very well decorated and it extends outward so there's so much to see. The attention to detail they put in every year is incredible! PLEASE make sure to have Venmo or PayPal to send donations to them. This is such an amazing display that they put on for the community and I'm sure it's a pretty penny, so we gotta try and do our part as admirers & keep it going for years to come by donating . Also too, the houses in the whole neighborhood are decorated really awesome so make sure you get your steps in and look at the other amazing houses they have. 1 Star with a caveat--we spent over an hour in gridlock trying to see the Clown House. When we finally inched up to within a block, we turned with relief to go home and never saw it. I'm sure it's fantastic, but I had no idea where to park to be able to see it. Loved seeng the Burbank community with so many enthusiastic people, though. We drove a couple of miles away in Burbank and walked down another street with more modest decorations. People were just WONDERFUL in the way they greeted everyone. All had a good time. read more

Such a Fun discovery to see in Burbank. My friend discovered it when we were driving around during the week prior to Halloween and it was Amazing. I have lived here my entire 75year life and had never known of its existence. It is in a residential area and we found street parking nearby. A short and easy walk for a couple of senior girls took us around a corner and down an alley as we approached the address of the event. It was obvious when we spotted the Ferris wheel lights through tree leaves and increasing numbers of revealers as we merged with the crowd. I will not give away the many fun and terrifying sights and secrets you may experience while visiting the Clown House, thereby leaving them for your own enjoyment. We were glad we had made this wonderful discovery before the 31st, as I can only imagine how crowded it must get. There was no charge at this time, but I believe that donations were Welcome PLEASE-NOTE While we saw a number of people with small children to infants and toddlers amongst the Crowd of onlookers, I would personally suggest you put THIS ONE on your Creepy and, Quite Frankly somewhat Horrific- fun spots to visit that are sure to get you in that sort of mood. Xxxxxxxxxx. I strongly recommend you leave the Young Ones at home for this one!!! Handing out treats. Larry has done an incredible job collecting clowns from small to large to over the top. I talked to Larry. He wants Everyone to come on down & see his Large Collection that he calls The Clown House! IT IS AMAZING! He even has an Evil Clown that is as tall as the house. One Clown has a Sign that says Free Hugs another says Free Candy. Uh - No Thanks! LOL! Another scene has a girl spinning in a large Cotton Candy Machine. And then you'll find out what's in the bottom of the Popcorn Maker at the movie theater covered in popcorn. Trust me, you'll never think about popcorn the same way ever again! LOL! You can visit in the Daytime & until 9 PM at Night. Larry doesn't put on the power to the animatronics during the daytime but made an exception for me. He wanted me to see it & take pictures & show people. This place is So Cool! A BIG SHOUT OUT to Larry for doing this for Everybody & making their Halloween a Lot Creepier. It won't cost you a dime! If you see Larry say Thank You. To make it worth your trip, you've got to check out 2 really cool places in the area. One is at the end of the street called The Mystic Museum & Bearded Lady Vintage & Oddities Shop with all kinds of Cool Merch. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! The other is a few blocks away on 3600 Clark St. You have to tune in to 99.1 & listen while you visit. The Clark St. address also puts on a great Christmas display show too.
