It is easy to walk to town from there. The property was honey, warm, and we loved having the full kitchen. It was the perfect size for me and my hubby and our fur baby. We could park our car right In front if the front door. The location is beautiful of course. We love Estes Park. The cabin had all the basic amenities such as hot water, utensils, gas stove, heater, firewood (we got this from the front desk). Here's the bad part. I am a stickler for clean bed sheets avd always check pillow cases before going to bed. It was obvious that the pillow cases had not been washed since the previous guest. There was hair all over it. I had to cover it with my shawl. Also, if you leave the heating on at night, the cabin tends to get very warm. If you don't have the heating on, it will be very cold and there's not enough blankets provided. Would we come back. I think so. But we will make sure to bring plenty of blankets and our own sheets.

Everywhere you look there is charm. We stayed in the "Cowboy Attic Suite". My mom immediately had an "experience". I heard a grandfather clock chime throughout our stay. I never saw one and forgot to ask where it was located. I love old clocks. My aunt had her own experience that woke her from her sleep. Everyone we encountered was nice and we appreciated the cander as we asked for their stories/experiences there. The bad....for what we paid, it was not worth it. The floor feels dirty. It is as though they have not thought to clean the carpets in quite some time. Under the bed is a nice layer of dust. The whole hotel could use a moist cloth and a good wipe down. The dust in the display cases throughout the hotel is obvious and off putting. We met Hannibal. Wish we would have booked the seance, but alas, we ran out of time. He was a hoot to talk to.

We loved having the kitchen and fridge to store some snacks. The owner sent us restaurant recommendations as well and helped us via text with our late check in. We really enjoyed having the hot tub in the room. The bed was super comfy and the linens and towels were plush and soft. I loved the heated towel rack next to hot tub so you were super warm getting out of the tub. Having a fire place was nice to fall asleep to. We will definitely be back, it was a wonderful staycation and had a really romantic weekend celebrating our anniversary. Thanks Mountain Shadows!!
