The sizing is laughably off -- not even close to standard -- and feels like it was guessed instead of measured. The material is cheap, thin, and poorly made, yet they price everything like it's premium streetwear. It's not. At all. To make it worse, they don't offer refunds, so once you realize how bad the quality and sizing are, you're just stuck eating the cost. Supporting local shouldn't mean getting ripped off. Overpriced, low-quality products, inaccurate sizing, and a customer-hostile return policy. I'm now out $200 with two sweaters I won't wear. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

This place is a testimony to the NYC unique surf culture. It is filled with the two sexiest scents in the world: coffee and surf wax. It's also staffed by completely hot guys, although they are at the most metro looking surfers I've seen (if they surf). I crossed the border from NJ to make make it here, just to check it out. I think the coffee is pretty excellent, second to my beloved Farleys and Blue Bottle in San Francisco. Music is awesome and the back patio/garden is an excellent place to chill. It seems bizarre and out of place for NYC, but that's why I love it. I am not really tempted by the surf gear in this store, it's more geared to guys. The boards are beautiful but pricey.

I'm not used to that kind of honesty these days! He even gave me a few pointers on what materials I should use and suggested a few youtube videos. I literally went next door to the hardware store, picked up what I needed for under $5, went home and did it myself. All it took was a razor blade, some super glue, an ice-cold beer and I was done! While there, I noticed some really cool hoodies, surf boards galore (even some nicely priced used ones in the back), and a ton of dope skateboard kicks. I haven't said the words "dope" or "kicks" in quite a long time (especially in the same sentence) but having stepped foot in this pretty hip skate/surf shop definitely brings it out of you. We got in and they told us they didn't do any wetsuit rentals and did not have ANY women's wetsuits available to sell.
