If you're thinking about bungee jumping with Bungee America, do it you won't regret it! This was easily a 10/10 experience from start to finish. A huge shoutout to the incredible instructors. Alex led the hike with confidence and kept everyone's spirits high. Henry made sure the entire group stayed together, accounted for, and felt supported the whole way. Dylan got to the bridge ahead of everyone to have everything set up and ready, making the whole experience run smoothly. All three had amazing attitudes and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable, safe, and excited. The hike itself was beautiful, with incredible streams and breathtaking views. It was a bit challenging because of the fast pace, but if you take your time and start early in the morning, it's absolutely worth it. The jump was unforgettable, but what really made this experience special was the team. Their professionalism, encouragement, and positive energy turned something intimidating into one of the most exciting and inspiring things I've ever done. I can't wait to come back and do it again especially because of how fantastic these instructors were. Highly recommend!

Bungee America and the entire crew were absolutely amazing--and honestly hilarious. This was my first time bungee jumping, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to do it with. The guys are truly one of a kind, and the vibes are unmatched. Even though my jumps were a little messy, they kept my confidence and courage high the whole time. The team was encouraging and made the entire experience fun from start to finish. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend both the hike and the jump! And even if you're too nervous to take the leap, the hike alone is worth it. Plus, spectators are welcome, so it's a great adventure either way. Thanks for helping me conquer the Bridge to Nowhere and for not judging my less-than-graceful jumps!

The instructors Alex and Henry were super cool and energetic which made for an amazing experience! They did a great job at making sure we felt safe to jump but also hyped us up to have fun. Overall awesome time and would definitely love to go again

What an amazing experience that was! First of all Alex and Dillon were great instructors very helpful and supportive, and also very funny guys. The 10 mile hike has incredible scenery and walking through the river was so refreshing. They weren't lying about the suggestion to dunking your head in the water would only make the hike back better because with the sun right over you it can get pretty hot. What a work out! The jump at the bridge was unforgettable to say the least. Checked off my bucket list. What an amazing experience to jump off a 120ft bridge. It all happens so fast but when you're down there bouncing around you just feel like "wow I can't believe I did that" in good way. Thanks to the team and for this opportunity. Sincerely, Big Dawg

Whether you're looking to conquer a fear...or looking to get an epic Instagram flex...you can find both at Bungee America. Staff were thorough, entertaining, friendly, and did everything they could to make sure you had a memory of a lifetime. Was it scary? Yes, but so are roller coasters. And roller coasters last for 2 minutes. Bungee jump lasted 15 seconds. If you been on a roller coaster, you can do this. 15 seconds of fear is worth a lifetime of glory. Go get it guys

Such an amazing experience 10/10. The whole team was great and very supportive. The hike is 10 miles round-trip, fast pace going up and your own pace coming back. Beautiful scenery with multiple water crossings, so be prepared to wear comfortable water-based shoes. Bring water and snacks and prepare for the jump.

Alex & Dylan were both amazing! You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it translates into the entire experience. They were attentive, encouraging, and genuinely excited for me to jump, which made the day even better. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

They gave me a free t-shirt and a couple more gifts you just HAVE to go to get!

I can't say my jump was the best of the day, I was too busy battling my own nerves! With my fears included, the entire experience with Bungee America was absolutely incredible. Nothing went wrong, everything went perfectly right, and I walked away feeling on top of the world (literally and emotionally). From start to finish, the crew treated everyone with genuine care and professionalism. You can tell they truly love what they do and care deeply about every single person who takes that leap. Huge shoutout to Ron Jones, the founder himself- how often do you get to meet the legend who started the sport?! Alex and Ants were the best instructors and guides; calm, funny, and confidence-boosting when I needed it most. If you're thinking about taking the plunge, do it with Bungee America. Literally the best experience ever!

In order from left to right, Alex, Ali, Ethan (me), Ron Best bungee squad ever!
    Ethan M.

I had the absolute BEST TIME with Bungee America, Ron and Alex were our instructors and we're both hilarious and a pleasure to be around while also making us feel as safe as possible. My cousin Ali and I both opted for two jumps which we feel is the best choice to start with cause you can try a forward and back jump which are like two completely different experiences. This is something I will be bringing my friends to do again soon. Other things worth mentioning, they have fresh water at the bridge so you can fill up, they're REALLY good for the camera if you're getting videos for social media or whatever, they just make the whole experience so fun. No other place i'd rather go for my first time bungee jumping, and I hope to revisit many times!

Ask the Community - Bungee America

So is it open currently as of August 2025?

What are the directions to get there?

Is the hike open, and are there signs or markets to help guide you?

Its open.the sign are painted arrow on rocks for directions

Which address to take to the hike? Tried to go and used the maps on my iPhone but didn't get the correct address.

The trailhead where you park is at the end of Camp Bonita Rd. From CA-39 take E Fork Rd east, then left (continuing east) on Camp Bonita Rd. If you can find parking in the small lot, great, if not, park along Camp Bonita Rd.

    Pets are be a permit?

No permit, feel free to just bring your little pal with you. Just be aware of the rivers they have to cross that are approximately 1ft - 2ft deep.

How difficult is this hike? I don't mind the distance if its mostly flat. But is there a lot of super steep trails and rock climbing involved?

I'm an avid hiker and I consider myself to be "athletic" - this hike is one of my favorite hikes! It's challenging but very doable. It's about 10 miles roundtrip and took me about 5-6 hours. There are rocks but not boulders. So it does get a bit…

    Is there a weight limit?

Bungee America has a maximum 265 lb weight limit. Over 265 lbs permitted by special arrangement. Contact Bungee America for details. Bungee America has an 90 lb minimum weight limit.…

Does anyone know if it's currently closed?

Yes its open! A hiker I follow on TikTok shared video that its open. Today 10/18/20

Does anybody know if it is open now to bungee jump? Want to make sure before making reservation.

Is the water year round? Has it closed because of the fires? As of currently?

Closed due to fire. Water not always year round .

Is it busy during the week too or only the weekend?

During the week it is not as busy (except for when there is a holiday and many people have the day off). The bungee jumping is only available on weekends so most of that crowd is not there either.

I tried searching up how to get there but my map says there's no directions?

The trailhead where you park is at the end of Camp Bonita Rd. From CA-39 take E Fork Rd east, then left (continuing east) on Camp Bonita Rd. If you can find parking in the small lot, great, if not, park along Camp Bonita Rd.

Is this open during this pandemic?

Yes it is!!! I was there on 7/19/2020 :)

    Is this open?

    Yes

Where do we get the parking permit?

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/r5/passes-permits/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5181410 I was so…

Do we need to purchase an Adventure Pass and Parking Permit? Can those be purchased on the day of? Or does this need to be purchased online in advance?

Yes an adventure pass is required. It's best to buy is well in advance. I buy mine at Big 5. It's my understanding you can buy one at the rangers station

    Is there camping nearby?

Yes there is dispersed camping along the trail until you reach the end where it is clearly labeled private property and forbids camping. Heaton Flats is a common spot for campers but people also camp along the river.

Is there a good reception while on the hiking trails?

No there isn't. You will be out of range while on your hike

Do you have to pay for just the hike?

Hike is free. Once you get to the bridge, if you'd like you can bungee jump. That's the thing that costs. I went it was 120 and I got a free charge then i was given a year pass where I can jump anytime year 2022 and itll only be $50 per jump.

    Is this hike open tomorrow?

    Yes, it's open

There are many steep parts; however, it was well worth the effort. After reading 2-3 books, each indicated the trail was difficult to locate in areas and advised to go with another person. Thankfully, I found the entire trail easy to navigate. Unless you love hot weather, do this hike on a cool day and bring plenty of water. I drank more water on the descent than on the ascent. Probably the first time that ever happened. I recommend AT LEAST 6 liters for the average hiker. Also, use caution because there are several stabbing yucca plants along the entire way (especially on the descent)! After reading several local hiking books, it is well documented that this is the most difficult hike in the Angeles National Forest! I share their opinion....so far. I will most likely do this hike again as it was very challenging. Good luck, take care, & enjoy life to the fullest!

More mentally...flase summits, grueling 60-70% gradient ascents, and sun exposure through-out the trail. The trail is located in the San Bernardino County. Trail is an out & back, approx 14+ miles, elevation gain of 7000k. You will also require a parking premit, you can use your "America the beautiful" annual pass. Make sure its visable. Must, MUST start early (5:30/6am)! We started later than we wanted to and ended up having to turn back before we reached the summit. Take your time, but also know when to stop and head back. Please do your research before heading out on trail. Believe what you read! Bring lots of water. I brought a total of 4 liters and only had 1/2 liter left when I reached the bottom of the trailhead. I had a water bottle, with "liquid IV" electrolyte mix. I drank that on the way up, which seemed to help on the descent. Trekking poles are highly recommended, if you have micro-spikes bring those too...will help on the descent (save your knees). If you don't have micro-spikes, not to worry, you'll still be alright, just don't lock your knees and take your time. Good luck!

There's also a restroom to the left of the entrance. Once inside, head upstairs to sign the digital waiver, then check in with the staff. I recommend bringing a bottle of water and a small snack, especially on busy days when you may wait 2-3 hours after check-in before your flight. Your mouth can get very dry during the ride up, so gum or candy prior helps. Lockers are available once your name is called. Come with patience- you definitely want everyone involved in the parachute setup process to take their time for safety. There are usually 4-5 skydivers per group. Once your name is called, you'll get fitted with your harness and then take a short bus ride to the aircraft. The boarding process was efficient. I was first off the plane, which gave me less time to overthink! The initial freefall is incredibly fast, so remember to breathe and keep your eyes open to fully enjoy it. David was an awesome tandem instructor, and I felt safe the entire time. I also appreciated the longer airtime to enjoy the sunset. The photos turned out great too! I highly recommend Gojump for their professionalism and friendly team.

The Goliath fast pass line was a series of stairs in 90 degree heat. Samurai Summit from the backside was a horrible walk. No relief areas as in drink stands either. Everything boarded up and closed. It looked bad. The wait for fast passes started becoming an hour. Ridiculous if you ask me. Wouldnt bother me if it wasnt so hot. The food prices are what you would expect, about $18 for anything to start. Its the drink prices that blow my mind. $16 for a white claw is insane. No cash accepted as well. Overall, a decent experience. The park just needs to invest in customer comfort and quality of life improvements to make this park shine.
