10/10 experience. We had an incredible time with Bungee America for our first time bungee jumping. Our guides Alex, Dylan & Henry were awesome. They gave us the courage and the confidence to jump and experience something that not many people are able to. They found that dog in us 100% will be back for more.

They gave me a free t-shirt and a couple more gifts you just HAVE to go to get!

I can't say my jump was the best of the day, I was too busy battling my own nerves! With my fears included, the entire experience with Bungee America was absolutely incredible. Nothing went wrong, everything went perfectly right, and I walked away feeling on top of the world (literally and emotionally). From start to finish, the crew treated everyone with genuine care and professionalism. You can tell they truly love what they do and care deeply about every single person who takes that leap. Huge shoutout to Ron Jones, the founder himself- how often do you get to meet the legend who started the sport?! Alex and Ants were the best instructors and guides; calm, funny, and confidence-boosting when I needed it most. If you're thinking about taking the plunge, do it with Bungee America. Literally the best experience ever!

In order from left to right, Alex, Ali, Ethan (me), Ron Best bungee squad ever!

I had the absolute BEST TIME with Bungee America, Ron and Alex were our instructors and we're both hilarious and a pleasure to be around while also making us feel as safe as possible. My cousin Ali and I both opted for two jumps which we feel is the best choice to start with cause you can try a forward and back jump which are like two completely different experiences. This is something I will be bringing my friends to do again soon. Other things worth mentioning, they have fresh water at the bridge so you can fill up, they're REALLY good for the camera if you're getting videos for social media or whatever, they just make the whole experience so fun. No other place i'd rather go for my first time bungee jumping, and I hope to revisit many times!

    Birthday bungee crew

Bungee America Blew My Birthday Out of the Water! I spent my birthday weekend with Bungee America, and honestly... I'm still riding the adrenaline high. I went all-in and knocked out six jumps--and every single one felt like its own epic adventure. But what truly made the day unforgettable was the unbelievable instructor duo running the show. These two weren't just professional and safety-focused (which they absolutely were), they were a nonstop source of hype, humor, and genuine encouragement. Their energy turned the entire experience from "bucket-list awesome" into legendary, once-in-a-lifetime, I-want-to-do-it-again-right-now badassery. They knew exactly how to pump up the group, crack jokes at the perfect time, and calm any nervous energy with total confidence. By the time you're stepping up to the edge, you feel like you've got your own personal hype squad cheering you on. If you're thinking about bungee jumping--stop thinking and just book it. Whether you're doing one jump or six, these guys will make sure you have the time of your life. Bungee America, thank you for making my birthday absolutely unforgettable. I'll be back for round two--try to keep up with me!

This was my first time and every moment was wonderful. Before I made reservations, we called in and got all the answers we were looking for. Scheduling it online was easy as well. My favorite part besides the jump was the guys that made it all possible. They were nice, funny, informational and even motivational. I truly believe, if it were not for their talks, inspiring stories and guidance, I would've backed out. I was so nervous, I thought I was going to puke, piss or both. But they helped calm my nerves. Because of them, I will be back and even plan to bring my teenager next time! The earned my trust and I'm thankful for them for giving me a memory of a life time. Shoutout to them for helping us with river crossings as well :) can't wait to see them again!

Alex, Dylan, and Ant gave me a first great experience. For my first hike it was very fun and it was so beautiful. I can't wait to go again and hope to get these 3 again! Definitely recommend going!

The instructors Alex and Dylan are a wonderful treat to this experience. I got to experience my 10th jump this past spring. Looking forward to more jumps this winter!

This adventure was unforgettable! A 10-mile hike with 12 river crossings, plus 2 bungee jumps. Challenging, thrilling, and full of memories . Highly recommend @BungeeAmerica for anyone looking for the ultimate adrenaline + nature experience!

Alex and I before the big jump!

The hike starts promptly at 7am. The hike is not for beginners and is maintained at a fast pace. We were greeted by a quirky hipster named Alex who lead us five miles to the bridge in crocs! During the hike, you cross the river 6 times so it's best to bring comfortable hiking shoes. I wore barefoot toe shoes, and although it made the river crossings easier it was more difficult to hike over the sharp rocks. The hike is about two hours up and two hours down. Once you arrive to the bridge, you eat lunch and are briefed by a beefy mountain man named Dylan. Dylan and Alex were both hilarious and informative in their safety demonstration. I chose to jump twice: one forward five and one backwards dive. I would recommend as it was extremely fun, challenging and rewarding. After you complete your jumps, you can start your trek back to the parking lot. I would recommend arriving on time, comfortable shoes/hiking boots/water shoes, a change of socks, plenty of water, snacks, a lunch, sunblock, a hat, comfortable pants, a backpack, sunglasses, and a positive attitude! The hike back is faster but you do not have a guide. Make sure you remember the trail and follow the arrows!

Parking situation 3 Stars Hiking adventure 5 Stars READ BEFORE YOUR JOURNEY: Make sure you have Adventure America or America the Beautiful parking permit ready, especially if you plan to start before dawn. There isn't a place to purchase on the way. Parking was difficult to find as we arrived around 7:30 am as there were around 20 or fewer parking spaces in the lot. We tried street parking below the lot, and a Highway Patrol warned us that the vehicles would be TOWED for illegal parking. It's wild because there were so many cars parked on the side. It could have been a field day for the towing company. When we finally waited for a parking space, we had to ask the person that's ready to leave if we could purchase their pass. This adventure was MODERATELY DIFFICULT while requiring perseverance. The total distance is about 9.6 miles. There are no shades for the majority of your trip. Make sure to STAY HYDRATED. You will get WET and up to your hips while crossing the creeks. There were about six to seven creeks that we passed on our trail. You will feel the current pushing against you. Specific paths have ropes that you can hold onto while crossing. There is a steady elevation incline for the second half of the hike. At the edge of the bridge, we saw a group lined up to bungee jump. The cost is around $120, and I think you get two jumps. That was a hard pass for me. The view of the bridge was refreshing to behold. While I couldn't believe the bridge was built during the 1930s, I can't imagine how it would have turned out if the construction of the road had been complete. That would have led to the devastation of the mountain by ridding the trees and other natural resources and carving the mountain for vehicles to pass.

Ask the Community - Bungee America

So is it open currently as of August 2025?

What are the directions to get there?

Is the hike open, and are there signs or markets to help guide you?

Its open.the sign are painted arrow on rocks for directions

Which address to take to the hike? Tried to go and used the maps on my iPhone but didn't get the correct address.

The trailhead where you park is at the end of Camp Bonita Rd. From CA-39 take E Fork Rd east, then left (continuing east) on Camp Bonita Rd. If you can find parking in the small lot, great, if not, park along Camp Bonita Rd.

    Pets are be a permit?

No permit, feel free to just bring your little pal with you. Just be aware of the rivers they have to cross that are approximately 1ft - 2ft deep.

How difficult is this hike? I don't mind the distance if its mostly flat. But is there a lot of super steep trails and rock climbing involved?

I'm an avid hiker and I consider myself to be "athletic" - this hike is one of my favorite hikes! It's challenging but very doable. It's about 10 miles roundtrip and took me about 5-6 hours. There are rocks but not boulders. So it does get a bit… Read more

Does anyone know if it's currently closed?

Yes its open! A hiker I follow on TikTok shared video that its open. Today 10/18/20

Does anybody know if it is open now to bungee jump? Want to make sure before making reservation.

Is the water year round? Has it closed because of the fires? As of currently?

Closed due to fire. Water not always year round .

Is it busy during the week too or only the weekend?

During the week it is not as busy (except for when there is a holiday and many people have the day off). The bungee jumping is only available on weekends so most of that crowd is not there either.

I tried searching up how to get there but my map says there's no directions?

Do we need to purchase an Adventure Pass and Parking Permit? Can those be purchased on the day of? Or does this need to be purchased online in advance?

Yes an adventure pass is required. It's best to buy is well in advance. I buy mine at Big 5. It's my understanding you can buy one at the rangers station

    Is there camping nearby?

Yes there is dispersed camping along the trail until you reach the end where it is clearly labeled private property and forbids camping. Heaton Flats is a common spot for campers but people also camp along the river.

Is there a good reception while on the hiking trails?

No there isn't. You will be out of range while on your hike

Do you have to pay for just the hike?

Hike is free. Once you get to the bridge, if you'd like you can bungee jump. That's the thing that costs. I went it was 120 and I got a free charge then i was given a year pass where I can jump anytime year 2022 and itll only be $50 per jump.

    Is this hike open tomorrow?

    Yes, it's open

Must, MUST start early (5:30/6am)! We started later than we wanted to and ended up having to turn back before we reached the summit. Take your time, but also know when to stop and head back. Please do your research before heading out on trail. Believe what you read! Bring lots of water. I brought a total of 4 liters and only had 1/2 liter left when I reached the bottom of the trailhead. I had a water bottle, with "liquid IV" electrolyte mix. I drank that on the way up, which seemed to help on the descent. Trekking poles are highly recommended, if you have micro-spikes bring those too...will help on the descent (save your knees). There are many steep parts; however, it was well worth the effort. After reading 2-3 books, each indicated the trail was difficult to locate in areas and advised to go with another person. Thankfully, I found the entire trail easy to navigate. Unless you love hot weather, do this hike on a cool day and bring plenty of water. I drank more water on the descent than on the ascent. Probably the first time that ever happened. I recommend AT LEAST 6 liters for the average hiker. Also, use caution because there are several stabbing yucca plants along the entire way (especially on the descent)! After reading several local hiking books, it is well documented that this is the most difficult hike in the Angeles National Forest! I share their opinion....so far. I will most likely do this hike again as it was very challenging. Good luck, take care, & enjoy life to the fullest!

For this most recent long three-day weekend in Lake Arrowhead we decided to finally give this place a try. We are two adults in our 30s with no kids. It is important to note that because honestly, this place is for children 10 and under. It is not for teens or adults. It is honestly pretty underwhelming if you are an adult, but it can be quite charming if you are a child. It is also $55 per person and $15 for parking which is a bit expensive, but I understand the inflated price due to the location and having to staff it. One thing about this place that is nice is they don't have a bunch of add-ons once you get inside, so you really do just pay one price unless you decide to get food as well. The other part of this park is specifically designed for people into mountain biking. They have six different trails ranging in difficulty from easy to difficult and about half of the visitors seemed to be doing that which we would go back specifically for. The activities for adults are pretty limited, so the main ones that we did were the bike in the air that goes around the rim of the property. This is the ride that you see in all the marketing and is the most popular. It was probably the most fun we had but it was honestly a bit scary once you get to the steepest point. It's about 50 feet above the ground so it would be quite a fall down. After that, we tried some archery and ax throwing which was surprisingly fun. After that, there was honestly nothing else that we could really do given our age and size so we headed out after that. This would be a great place to visit during December with children 10 and under because they do have Santa Claus and people in costumes and what not and each of the buildings is alpine themed and is very quaint. They also have a very large area that serves as a wedding location so I'm sure that is also another part of this place. There is a large free parking lot attached in front with EV charging available as well.

Couldn't get on Twisted Colossus due to size, barely got on Batman. But that isn't why I'm rating this low. No, I'm rating this low because of how the park responded to lost/found items. Fast forward to 2025 briefly; got a Disney pass, lost some Sunglasses on Splash mountain ride, got them back within the week, despite being lost on an obscure part of the ride. So what happened in January then? I was riding the dueling coasters based on cars. A fun concept, truly. Was really enjoying myself... until we stopped back into the station. I do blame myself for losing my phone after stupidly placing it in my back pocket of my pants; the phone slipped out during one of the loops in the second half of the ride, landing in an obscure part of the park below the tracks. However, I certainly do not blame myself for what happened after, but on the park: Once I got home 60 miles later, I uploaded the phone's location via Find My to the park's lost and found website, along with a link to a POV video where the loss approximately took place. A report was made shortly after. Fast forward to July of that year: I'm at my work's conference, and get a random text... from China. Evidently my phone was actually found at Six Flags, but was sold on some black market to be taken into China. Keep in mind: despite a report being made, no official response was made from Six Flags about the phone's fate. It's partially why I stopped visiting Six Flags altogether after my birthday in June... the Magic and thrill of visiting that Mountain died out, all because one bad customer service experience, and lack of due diligence. I certainly hope the lost/found experience had gotten better since the merger, but in case it hadn't? Let this be a warning, and god help you.
