People need to stop with the 1 star reviews for their lost phone. It is not Magic Mtn's fault that you bring your phone on the ride and don't secure it. Yes when you go upside down, your phone will fall out of your pocket. I bring zippered sweater/shorts for this exact reason!! I'm happy Six Flags has been painting and improving the park. It's sad how mismanagement has let the park get so run down. I'm also happy they are working on the kids area. In order to attract more families, this area was in sore need of improvement. However, I do not agree with the removal of RIDES to put in playgrounds. I didn't get a membership for a playground- that's for free in my neighborhood. I bring the kids to Magic Mountain for the RIDES!! Please add more kid rides, not remove them.

I was last at Six Flags with my roller coaster club and had an incredible time! We had extended ride time on Twisted Colossus and Full Throttle. I must say the team members for both rides were phenomenal! This park is always a blast, especially for thrill seekers. If you love high intensity roller coasters, this is the place for you! You can also get in touch with your inner child and enjoy Looney Tunes characters.

Haven't been to Six Flags in maybe 15 years or so. Purchased my tickets online , $65 each. Drove down from my hotel in El Segundo to the park. Parking $40, not bad and compares to most theme parks. Covered parking with solar atop. Shuttle to the entrance but I opted to walk. Park wasn't too crowded and ride wait times were very reasonable. Overall we had a good time. Funnel cake was good.

OK, could this place be cleaner? Yes for sure. Could the workers and security enforce the rules better? Yes..... without question Could the rides literally be any more fun? Not a chance.... I have to say, I really hate the Six Flags in Vallejo, it's a pile of ****... This one though, I thoroughly enjoyed. The rides here are just fantastic that's for sure, and there are a surprising amount of dining and drink options all through the park. The food was decent, it is $$$ though. The rides are what really shines here.... Goliath, Tatsu, X2, WOW... I only almost passed out like 5 times that day, no big deal....... We actually had such a good time here, that we will never go to Vallejo again, even though it's close, there is really no comparison between the 2 parks. Let's talk critiques though. For one, it's dirty, very dirty. Six Flags needs to do some serious work in the maintenance and cleaning department. The amount of trash everywhere is a bit ridiculous, even inside gated areas, and the amount of spiderwebs and gum and trash in every queue is a bit much. Also, the workers really couldn't care less about smoking, vaping, line skipping, etc, and that really is a bit ridiculous. The first ride we got on the attendants pulled my daughter off the ride to check her height, she is freshly tall enough to ride which is one of the reasons we went in the first place. She walked up to the board, was clearly over the height limit, and they then went OUT OF THEIR way to get her under the limit before sending us away. "Take a deep breath" "Hold your breath" "look forward" "look this way" until they were able to get her height under.. It was pretty bizarre and they sent us to customer relations to "get her actual height and a wristband." Guess what... she was tall enough.... Got our dumb wristband and went right back into the same queue, with a longer line. If you are going with a child that is just at the height mark, save yourself the hassle and walk straight through the gate to customer relations, and get your kid a wristband.

Had a great visit at Six Flags Magic Mountain! The rides are perfect for teens and adults, and the lines weren't too bad during our visit. What really stood out was how friendly and welcoming the employees were--they were helpful, informative, and made the experience even better. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at the bar/restaurant area. The burger and wings were both delicious! I asked for the wing sauce on the side so I could share with my kid, and the sauce was REALLY good--honestly better than some places we've tried recently back in our hometown. Overall, a really fun day with great rides, great staff, and unexpectedly tasty food. We would definitely come back again!

I have been here so many times since 1990 but somehow never wrote a review. Now I'm taking my teenagers to enjoy the rides since I don't anymore ... hahaha the park is very nicely organized, clean and right now they have a spring special Gold annual pass for around $90 I purchased it for us hoping we will come more often in the next 12 months. It includes parking and access to a few other parks. Great deal. The only problem is the food sold here. Very very bad quality and super expensive. I guess they have to somehow make up for the good prices they offer on admission. A bottle of water is $7 ... I got a turkey leg for my son for $18 and gave it right back telling them it not edible. You can't even bite into it it was so dry and horrible. So they replaced it with a cheeseburger which was somewhat edible. From now on we won't be eating here. We will have breakfast then enjoy a couple of hours of fun then go home and eat at home. Or stop by In & Out on our way home. Over the years we have tried different options at the park and everything was bad food. The rides are super fun though. My sons love the Goliath, the X2, the Tatsu, the Full Throttle and a few more. A must every time. I also learned that we can go to knotts berry farm as well with these annual passes since it was bought by six flags recently. How fun.

Spicy chicken sandwich. It's basically chicken strips with sauce.

I just got a dining plan and I have been trying the different food places in the park. Unfortunately overall I'll have to give the food a low rating. With the dining plan it's still a great value. For $160 you can get 2 meals at every visit spaced out 4 hours apart. They do have a variety of options to choose from. On slow days the food comes out pretty quickly but it's often cold and not fresh. On busy days it can take 30 minutes to an hour to get food. Look at the photos for reviews of each food item.

Decided a last minute trip to Six Flags today. I haven't been for a while. If you're a first timer here and love Disney, don't compare! I don't mean that to downgrade this park because I love it but it's different. We're Gold Plus Annual Passholders and it's a legacy pass that's no longer offered. It allows us to go to any Six Flags, get a drink cup for the year, parking, discounts, etc. I love them for legacying us into this pass for paying during COVID and not cancelling. It shows they valued us unlike Disney who cancelled our passes and created a new program that offered you less for more. Parking is $40 and they don't take any cash - credit/debit only. Important to know when planning the day. Today, the park was not crowded. The longest wait was X2 with 30minutes. It was a perfect day to ride everything and enjoy it without large crowds. They have a dining pass that can be bundled with your ticket which helps with cost. Depending on the one you get, you can get a meal every 90min and drinks are included. They serve alcohol here and will actually give you a special wristband to avoid continuously being carded. The food is not horrible, it's ok and gets the job done while here. They do have a nice alcohol list to choose from. Some of my favorite rides are Goliath, Viper, and Riddler. I will let you know viper is rough on the head so if you're tender on your ears you might want to pass. Goliath has a steep drop but no loops. Riddler, you do stand on. They have character photo opportunities, especially when you first walk in. We caught Daffy & Bugs when we first walked in. If bringing littles you're still ok. They have a Looney Tunes area for littles with mini coasters, a climbing area, and quite a few rides. Definitely check it out. It's a bit of a drive depending where you are but worth it.

Came in on 3/21/2026 to start the spring break right! It was great and lines moved quickly. Most rollercoasters were open and that is a plus from other days. One thing to note is that unlimited drink is not unlimited. You only can get refills every 50 mins so be aware and take not.

Nachos from Food etc. i think they were wither 16.99 or $19.99

This was my second time visting this park. I couldn't review my first trip as we were only there a short amount of time when the park closed due to the fires in the area. It took 12 hours to get back to where l lived so I have avoided LA like the plague since that trip (well over 10 maybe even 15 years) Bought the Prestige pass and had to come here to activate the pass before using it at other parks. In addition to purchasing this pass we purchased the all parks drink pass (1 drink every 15 minutes) $36.99 and the all parks upgraded drinks pass $53.99 (includes icees and hot cocoa every 15 minutes). For myself I had purchased the all day dining meal which includes food or a snack every 90 minutes for $44.99. The first time I redeemed it I got the drink bottle, which can be filled every 15 minutes and is good through at least the end of 2025. Was super surprised the food is good? Lines for food can be long and with the dining pass I could not order ahead. Below is what we got: 1. Primo's Pizzeria-got a slice of pepperoni pizza and breadstick. It was for my 9 year old who ate some of it. Husband and I took a nibble he said it tasted like Costco pizza. I thought it was meh as well. (I forgot to take a photo). This had the shortest aka no line when we got there. 2. Chicken coupe-got the chicken tenders and fries. Both were hot, crispy and tasty. This had a few people in front of us. 3. Max'd Out Mac & Screaming spuds-long line, took forever. They would have one person order, get their food to them, then call up the next person. I got the loaded potato tots. They had beer cheese, bacon, green onions on them. They were cold when I got them but I was hungry so I ate part of them. Husband tried and was not a fan either. 4. Food Etc-came here at the end of the night (it was one of the few places still open) and got the nachos. They had what looked like chili on them, beans, jalapeños and pico de gallo on them. They were a lot better tasting than they looked. The rides. We got into the park at about 11:30am after parking and dropping our dogs off at the kennels (will write about that at the end). The line to get in was long but we got to use the "fast" entrance which was not fast. Where we would have been in the line over we would have got in faster. We headed to the left after walking in and that put us near: Viper which kidlet couldn't ride, X2 which had a long line and the new revolution classic. We rode that and grabbed food. After that ended up in the back corner of the park to ride Apocalypse. The ride itself is ok but the wait to get in is long and it super overstimulating. You are essentially in a tin metal tunnel (I had no cell reception at all) it is dark, the only light is the exit sign and the glowing red lights and the "tvs" on. My 9 year old tolerated it well but it was a lot of noise too. I wouldn't go on this ride again unless I had a fast pass. Gold rusher-line was not long but it is a rough ride. My 9 year old loved it though. X2-this was intense. As a person who has rode roller coasters as long as I was tall enough too, it was a lot of sensory things going on that I can't even say if I liked or disliked the ride. I will need to ride it again. My 9 year old found it intense as said they will not ride it again. My husband was too big for this ride. Twisted colossus-rode this in the dark. My 9 year old LOVED it. I enjoyed the ride aspect but as a person who is on the chunky side with a mom pooch this ride was brutal. My husband who is also stocky was too big for this ride. Ninja-it broke down, then reopened and we rode it. It is an older coaster and not super thrilling but was an interesting concept (you ride in a "car" under the rail. Goliath-this was a good ride. Rode it at night and used our 1x flash pass quick queues on this. It was not easy to determine how to use these. We had the staff working the flash pass entrance explain it. She did not seem happy or wanting to help. Magic mover-this gets your from the lower part of the park to the upper level of the park without having to walk uphill. It is very loud and it gets to be standing room only and jerks so brace yourself. Roaring rapids-we got wet. I don't remember how wet we got on this. We shared the ride with others and I feel we all got wet a decent amount. I liked that this version (unlike Knott's) has a place to put your feet up so your shoes don't get soaked. Teen Titans Turbo spin-kidlet and husband rode this. It had no line and there were very few people on it. They enjoyed it. That was all the rides we were able to ride that day. It is partially our own fault as we had no plan we just kept roaming from place to place. If we had been more intentional we might have got to ride more. The day we went was a long day. It was a 3 hour drive there, 3 hour drive back and we were at the park from 11:30-8:45pm. We have the season pass and will be back in the future.

Came here since we have Prestige passes from Knott's which includes admission to Six Flags. We arrived before the park opened and our passes include Prestige parking, just like at Knott's. We were able to get into the park with our passes and past the front gate to a holding area since we were there at 9:50 am and. When we got there, they were doing trivia at the rope and just happened to stumble in and play. The host, Darlene was asking the crowd trivia questions and keeping score and my friend won one of the top 2 spots and got our party a front of the line pass to any ride EXCEPT for X2. We chose Tatsuuuuu! It's been years since I've been here so this was really a test for me to see if I could hang and I'm happy to report I could, but just barely. This review is really a reminder to myself to hydrate and start with a Liquid IV right when I get there, plan to eat food and take snacks throughout the day. The food thing is strictly for energy replenishment not because I'm hungry. Also, however tight the restraints are, make them tighter because I need to be taped to the seat and not bobbling around, which was the case for a few rides. Drank Powerade strictly for electrolytes because I normally would not drink this, but it came in clutch at 3 pm when the sun was beating down and I was in line waiting for Full Throttle to creep back into the station after failing to clear the first loop. One ride I would never do again is Riddler's Revenge (read my review on why over there). This visit changed my opinion of the park from 2009. The employees are on it and the branding is consistent and positive throughout the park. It's clean, there's no weird smells, the employees are nice and not weird or full of themselves, there's management walking throughout the park and engaging with guests and it's much more relaxed than Disney or Knott's. The one thing I remember from previous visits were the ride operators of the various rides and their little ride specific announcements or tag lines. Like Viper I remember, "Welcome to the VI-PERR!", Tatsu's call, "TAT-SUUUUUU!," Ninja, "Hi-Ya" x's 3. I also love that everyone from the tram driver to the last ride operators would always end with recommending another ride in the park. It's little things like this that stick out. Also, the trivia at rope drop, with a front of the line pass as a prize, why has Disney not done that all this time? I witnessed one breakdown happen at Full Throttle and the entire team went into action right away and got the ride back up and running with a line full of people and management showed up pretty quickly. Everyone knows what they're doing, they're not standing around talking and ignoring guests, if anything they're way more engaged with guests! As for food, we have the dining plan through Knott's and it worked here and we were able to get meals every 90 minutes as opposed to every 4 hours at Knott's. I read a little bit about what's good here and the Ace BBQ place was mentioned so we tried that spot. It's good for in the park food. I think Knott's Boardwalk BBQ is better, but Ace's tri tip was edible, their vegetarian baked beans were SO GOOD and the roll was a roll. We tried the pizza place by the X2 entrance and that was surprisingly tasty and piping hot. I'd say it was on par with Costco pizza, if not better and the breadstick was good too, better than the one at Prop Shop pizza at Knott's. I'm semi-retiring from this park until I can get into shape, but overall we had a very good time here yesterday, 01/31/26. It's less hassle than Disney or Knott's, the employees were great,it's clean, and less crowded. I'd say the most we waited in line for a ride was between X2 (45 minutes) and Ninja, with a front of the line pass (30 minutes). Way less time than Disneyland and with a greater pay-off. Obviously if you're a thrill seeker this park is a MUST and if you're visiting the California for the first time, be prepared for back to back intense rides, but make sure to take breaks and plan out some of the slower rides in between. Also remember lots of power ade or water and a solid snack to hold you over.

Review #27 for 2025 3.5 stars It's been a loooooong time since I have been to 6 Flags, at least 10 years. I remember coming here back in high school and even through some years of college. I stopped going to theme parks period years ago until this year, now with a toddler in tow and trying to find ways for him to get his energy out. We've been to 6 Flags Magic Mountain 2x now. Mainly due to having a season pass. Now with the merger of Six Flags, the Cedar Fair parks and Knotts, it's a no brainer and a steal compared to going to Disney. We paid $175 for a prestige season pass and that included going to the parks for the rest of 2025 and the full calendar year of 2026 with no blackout dates and preferred parking! We went to 6 Flags because we bought our passes with this park as our home park to save $70 compared to having Knotts as our home park. We also got an all parks meal plan for $155 and a drinks plus plan for $56. For less than $400, the pass included unlimited no blackout visits with parking, 2 meals during each visit (4 hours in between meals), and drinks (soda, icee, coffee, hot cocoa every 15 min). Oh I also get 1 free fast pass each visit! 6 Flags has mostly big kid/adult rides, but they do have the Bugs Bunny area for kids, which is where we go with our little guy. Even on the weekend when we go, it was never really crowded and wait times were minimal. Our boy loves to eat at the parks and go on the car rides and just people watch. The meal plan works great because we get a meal as soon as we get there, hang out for several hours and get another meal before heading home. They do have event throughout the year. We were not able to make it for the Halloween event, but we have been for the Holidays in the Park. It does look pretty with all the lights, but I do remember more lights back in the day. There are some things the park could do to give it more life... for example a paint job throughout the park to brighten the park back up and patching up the cracks and broken cement around the park. It looks run down with all the faded paint and broken cement. Hence I docked a star. I think it would make a BIG difference to simply fix those things. It definitely does not have the Disney "magic". My toddler might not notice those things, but I do. Regardless, the park is great value for the price and my toddler has fun so that's all that matters. I am not willing to pay "Disney" prices. Would I be back? Yes I would be back. I even plan on coming back to go the Hurricane Harbor as that is also included in our pass!

We usually come here at least twice during our visit and we go for the thrills and roller coasters. However, I wish they did have more family rides and water rides since it is more hot. They do have roaring rapids, but that one you get really soaked. I think they are going to get rid of jet stream racers as it is old and showing its age. Lex Luthor was closed down too which was a bummer. However, my time here did go by really quickly even though the intensity was somewhat getting to me. I rode all the roller coasters except for batman, gold rusher, ninja and tatsu and viper as getting older your head can take so much. Here are some facts to know. 1. If the ride is open they run one train on X2 and Apocalypse 2. Most of the roller coasters are usually open, but operations can be slow. I wish they would get rid of the comfort collars on West Coast Racers as it hurts my neck and sholders 3. Wonder Woman they only run 2 trains, but the line does go quickly Holiday in the Park was crowded, but not too extreme. Most of the wait times range between 30 to 60 minutes. We did use some of the skip the line passes. The rides I probably should not go again is Scream as it is shaky and rough and head banging. Food wise, they have the same ole and ole, but we enjoy the pizza place. The Asian place is now in the food court. I like the Mexican food and Dole whip is awesome and must get. The chicken sandwich is alright too. All of the Looney Tunes characters come out on the main street and not the Looney Tunes area. One thing I enjoy doing is 30 minutes before closing time I head to Wonder Woman and ride my heart out as the line is really short and the people that work there are really nice and let you reride again and sometimes let you sit on the seat. I tend to get 4 rides on it.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Six Flags Magic Mountain

Is the add-on pass "Unlimited All Day Dining Deal", $34.99 worth it? Is Starbucks included? Or are there any exclusions?

It's worth it if you're going to eat at least 2 meals there. There are some exclusions I'm assuming it does not include Starbucks but I'm not for sure on that. It's about $20 for one meal.

Are water bottles like hydro flasks allowed?

I did see people with refillable water bottles last time I was there.

Are snacks and water allowed to be brought in?

Yes I brought a backpack full of waters and snacks

Are there rentable strollers?

Yes, located in Six Flags Plaza behind Guest Relations. Strollers, wheelchairs, and electronic wheelchairs (ECVs) are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes

Can I take a wagon?

I've only scene the fold up ones.

Is there an area for pick up and drop off?

Yes, right in front by valet parking. It's by the entrance to walk into park.

Do the Looney Tunes characters still come out for the kids?

We saw two characters the day we went Sylvester the Cat and tweety bird near the carousel and store at the main entrance

Donthey accept apple cash?

Hello there! Apple Pay is accepted at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Do they rent towels as six flags in NJ?

Wrong Six Flags, this is Magic Mountain, not Great Adventure

Can I wear tank top and hiking sandals with hydro flask water bottle at the amusement park?

Yes, on the Tank top and hiking sandals, there are some steep hills.. But bring sunblock to retouch after water rides. It gets quite hot in Santa Clarita so snacks and water is a great idea. You can definitely wear a backpack so a Camelbak or… Read more

Can i just pay for tickets i dont want the whole 12 month pass just single tickets how does this work?

Can I take small snacks like candy and fruit bars in my backpack to the park?

Yes you can bring food in. One day I saw a family bring in a whole cooler, the kind of cooler with wheels. I've seen families bring a whole dinner. But they do check bags, they won't say anything.

Is it less busy at evening or night? I've always gone in the morning and afternoon and it's crowded but every time leave, a lot of people are leaving too bc they're tired. Will it be slower at night? We're going today, Wednesday btw

We were just there last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each day we went in the morning and afternoon/evening. We would come back to the park at 5pm until 9pm and it's definitely less busy then the mornings!

If you're an enthusiast it's a must try. Avoid the outside seats of your want a smoother ride. This ride goes down a lot. So don't be surprised if it's not open when you come. Absolutely not. This ended my long day of back to back to back thrill rides, on a bad note. I was in the seat, they had to reset my restraints and it was looser and I said nothing about it because my glasses were in my jacket pocket and I was concerned about those getting smashed by the constraints. Before I boarded this ride, the train came into the station and the lady that was sitting in the seat I was about to get into, looked at me dead in the eye and said, "It's bad." I didn't even ask her!!?? I will say, her and I were definitely over 30 years old (maybe 40), so this is for my ladies of the 80's; just don't. You're not missing anything, in fact you're gaining your youth back just waiting for your party at the exit. Once on the ride it started off scary then went immediately into "I'm going down on this plane and going to die "-mode. My main complaint was the back of my head was slamming into the head rest and I left saying, "I have CTE I just know it," and it put me in a mood. The other attractions in the park, I experienced the head banging but it was the sides of my head not the back. If you're going to ride this ride save it for later. I will say, the wait time stated it was 90 minutes, but we only waited 45 minutes, at most, probably shorter and this was on a Saturday in January.

There's plenty of entertainment, fun foods to eat, and characters walking around and interacting. I had a chance to speak with Mike Ostrom, the head of entertainment at the park. And he let me know that the reindeer came up with their own choreography for the slider show. I love that they let the cast be part of the creation. I will be coming to Holiday in the park every year, my children and I have an amazing time every time we go.

On Black Friday, the park was really busy and we arrived an hour before park opens. They were consistent on opening times. I would recommend just going to the park attendant to scan the pass as the "scan license" plate only takes one car at a time and the line looks like it is running slow. If you have Diamond or the Prestige All Park Pass, make sure you ask for the preferred parking. For preferred parking, just follow the cones and once you reach the attendant, they will take the slip away and they will guide you on where to park. One thing that change is there is covered parking with solar panels. I guess Six Flags wanted to take advantage of the solar credits. Once you make it to the gate, there is a line specifically for diamond/prestige pass members on the left hand side. This will allow you inside the park first at 9:45am. Once inside, you will need to wait behind a line and at around 10:15am, they will let you inside the park where you can line up. We usually head to Full Throttle as they only run 1 train and operations can be slow. They usually open the ride before 10:30am. After our first ride, we usually get a 2nd one. The rides opening at open are usually at hit or miss. On black Friday, the rides opened at around 11:30am and there are some rides that were closed this trip 1. Goliath - doing a paint job 2. Apocalypse - doing a refurbishment - they need to retrack the sucker 3. Superman - not so sure if this ride will ever open During the first Friday we went these were closed, but opened on the following Friday: X2, Ninja, Justice League and Riddler. For the Black Friday, you would think they would have most of the rides open as then lines ended up being 90 minutes or longer and the food lines were longer. On the next Friday, it was not so busy as the longest line was around 20 minutes which was awesome and got to ride a lot of rides. For Holiday at the Park, it is cool to walk the park at night. But dress up accordingly as it will get very cold. I highly recommend not riding roaring rapids at night as I got my pants and shoes soaked. The Jet Stream, not too bad, but I recommend riding Lex Luthor at night on both sides as the lights are awesome to see. The ride up is cold, but highly recommend. But yeah I would highly recommend taking an hour to do a full walk around the park at night time to take a look at the lights. Also, the DC characters do come out randomly and the looney toon characters come out near the front of the park. We did see Christmas characters come out and they do performances as well. They sometimes have a rock concert near Full Throttle. Food wise, I would recommend getting the Dole Whip. The ice cream is not icey and creamy now. This compares to the Disney one and I will always get one if I get to visit now. Food has been the same as last year though, hopefully with new leadership they will have better food. Here are the rides and my quick assessment as I rode most of them this time around 1. Full Throttle - this line is slow and long due to only 1 train only running. If you have a skip a line, use it on this one 2. Twisted Colossus - must ride, they were running 3 trains. Lines do move fast 3. Goliath - closed when I went, but I usually ride this one when I go 4. Batman - they maintained the ride well on this one. This one ran smooth 5. Wonder Woman - definitely a ride. They have free lockers and if there is no one in line easy to reride again. This is good when the park is dead. Can easily reride many times. Crew is nice 6. Riddler - this one got rough and lots of head banging. I got a headache 7. Gold Rusher - kids ride, but really rough 8. Crazanity - I skip this one as you can ride this at other Six Flags parks as this one gets a crazy line 9. West Coast Racers - line moves slow due to how the process is, but this ride has grown on me. Get rid of the comfort collars 10. Lex Luthor - must ride, it is one of the easier rides at the park 11. Jet Stream - they need to put more water as the boats rattle a lot and ride is rough 12. Roaring Rapids - fun ride, but your legs do get wet. I rode this 2 times and my feet and legs got wet 13. Tatsu - this line moves slow and has long lines. I usually skip this ride as this one gives me a head ache 14. Viper - skip this one for me as it is rough 15. X2 - used to be my favorite ride, but this one gotton a lot rougher that I need a breather after 1 ride 16. Revolution - this one is not too bad. The new trains make the ride smooth. I did not ride it this time around. 17. Ninja - not too bad I like to ride this once Overall an okay experience. Lots of what they can do better. At least they had rides open during the 2nd visit. Hopefully next year will be better.

My older loves animals, insects, and other non-human creatures so this place seemed perfect. We had been many years ago with our littles and they distinctly remember a giraffe so we figured their cousins would enjoy the experience too. We arrived at around 11 am on a Monday morning and found parking relatively easy- I think we were one of two families there which made it easy. There is a very small parking lot just outside the entrance and street parking. We entered through a really fun gift shop and made our way in. They have many exhibits of foxes, monkeys, birds, reptiles, and other small-to-medium sized animals to learn about. Each exhibit provided a learning display. We made our way through the "center" in just under two hours- really taking out time at each exhibit. Wr only noticed a couple of other families with littles as well, making it super easy to move through. While we say snakes foxes parrots and more, we don't see the giraffe . We did learn while we were there though that the giraffe was just visiting as it was being trained by the nextdoor business for television!!! Apparently that's a thing. Love L.A.! Ideal place for little kids! They have space for private parties, benches to enjoy a packed lunch (byobag situation), and a theater-education space where I believe they have events/activities, although we didn't see any. Today we're here to ride Lex Luthor at Six Flags Magic Mountain! The World's Tallest Drop Tower!!!…read more(Since Orlando Free Fall killed someone and Zumanjaro was closed without warning, which I cannot express just how pissed off I am at that). Once you pull down the OTSR's, you notice something interesting about them. And that's because they feel just like a lapbar. They aren't bulky, they give a ton of room, it feels just like a lapbar! And honestly. I like it! It gives so much room. So yeah, SWEET! We then start to ascend the Superman tower. If you're facing right, you get a good view of DC Universe as well as a good view of Batman, Riddler's Revenge, Twisted Colossus, Scream and Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage. However, if you're facing the other side, you get a good view of Twisted Colossus, Goliath, Full Throttle, Revolution, Tatsu, Viper, and X2. But either way, you're getting a GREAT view. Now, back when Superman was open, a Superman car will dispatch and it will cause the tower to shake a little bit. No this does NOT mean the ride is unsafe, you're gonna be fine. This is a structural thing that is done with 90% of coasters. But yeah, it scares the crap out of the GP. And I'm sorry to be mean, but I find that to be HILARIOUS! However, Superman is now dead so you can no longer experience this feeling, which is a bummer! =( We eventually hit the top where Lex Luthor says some dialogue before laughing. We are then waiting in suspense for a few seconds before we eventually plummet 85 MPH straight down from 400 ft in the air. And yeah, this is awesome on its own. But if you do what I do and close your eyes and look straight down. It becomes INSANE! Almost gives you the feeling of the first drop on X2. Well... not quite.... but it's sort of similar. Eventually, we slow down to a crawl right as we hit the bottom, where we can't help but clap. So yeah, that's Lex Luthor. And yeah this is a GREAT drop tower! I definitely prefer it to Superman as it's currently one of the best drop towers that I've ridden. So STRONGLY recommend trying this out as it's a great ride and a must do for all drop tower enthusiasts! Just be careful because Six Flags could tear this ride out without any warning, especially now that Superman Escape From Krypton is closed forever! Seriously Six Flags, KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM LEX LUTHOR!!! Final Score: 95/100 Opened July 7, 2012 Manufacturer: Intamin Last Ridden: May 4, 2018
