Carol does a great job targeting areas of tension and adjusting the pressure to what I need. Her deep tissue massages are effective without being overwhelming, and I always leave feeling much better than when I arrived. Not only is she skilled at what she does, but she's also warm, personable, and genuinely cares about her clients. I highly recommend Carol to anyone looking for a great massage therapist!

A girlfriend and I decided to do a spa day. I had no idea where to go, but she suggested Ritual. I found two appointments on their website and booked them a few weeks prior. You must hold the appts with a CC, but no deposit is needed. Parking was pretty easy to find. I found parking right away across the street. We started off with my massage therapist asking what type of pressure I prefer. I said I like it hard. No pain, no gain. Get those knots out. And since I work at a computer all day, I told her I carry a lot of tension in my neck shoulders. After voicing that, I did find my massage felt more like a relaxing swedish massage. The pressure wasn't that hard. One thing I did note, they start on your feet but don't wash their hands afterwards when they move on to the rest of you. I kinda found that a little weird. I mean, I did just shower before I showed up, but still. I will never say no to a massage so glad my gf and I did this. Tho I wish I spoke up more during the massage. Completely my fault so I won't dock them for that. Still a nice relaxing experience. REVIEW #3923

Staff was friendly and I liked how we were able to fill out a sheet with the type of massage we wanted, how strong we wanted it and where we wanted the masseuses to focus on. There is parking in the back of the building. We had Susie & Jessica as our masseuses. They were both excellent and definitely knew what they were doing. They also told us if we needed it stronger or softer to let them know. Definitely would come here again.

We both chose deep tissue massages with deep pressure. My bestie had a wonderful experience with Susie. She said Susie was very attentive and applied strong pressure to every part of her body. Unfortunately, Ella's pressure was a little too gentle for me, so I didn't enjoy my massage as much as I had hoped. Since it was our first time here, we weren't sure which massage therapists would be the best fit for us. Oh well! I did speak with the front desk afterward, and she recommended trying Jessica or Lucy next time. The place is very roomy, which is nice. Hopefully, I'll have a better experience with a different massage therapist on my next visit!

3/5 Stars. Relaxing Experience but Definitely Room for Improvement…read more Bay Spa has a lot of potential. Overall, I enjoyed my visit, but there are definitely some things management needs to work on. The atmosphere is very relaxing, with plenty of food options and complimentary massage chairs. I really enjoyed the salt room, especially having actual salt covering the floor. The cold plunge was easily my favorite part. Perfect temperature! The locker rooms were also very clean and well maintained. Now for the things that could use some improvement. The clay room was my biggest disappointment. They removed the clay balls and replaced them with a clay floor because people were slipping. I understand the safety concern, but why not just add stepping stones? The clay balls were what made that room unique. The cold room was another letdown. Honestly, I've been inside Costco's walk-in fridge and it was colder than this. It felt more like a refrigerator that wasn't working properly. A lot of the massage chairs were either out of order or had badly ripped upholstery. The men's steam room smelled like straight swamp butt. Management really needs to address that, maybe add some eucalyptus or something because that smell was rough. The jacuzzi wasn't nearly hot enough, and the water was noticeably cloudy. It really seems like the water could use more frequent changing or better filtration. The jade room was surprisingly small, and honestly, the entire facility was smaller than I expected. One thing worth mentioning is the shower setup. The locker rooms are spotless, but the showers are completely open. You're basically showering two feet away from another naked dude. Not everyone is going to be comfortable with that level of openness. Overall, I had a relaxing time and would consider coming back. The cold plunge and salt room were great, but some of the facilities really need attention. For a place that's supposed to be about relaxation and wellness, the little details matter. With better upkeep and a few thoughtful improvements, this could easily be a much better experience.
