This place has some good quality authentic Vietnamese dishes from the Hue region and claim a speciality of the bun "rice vermicelli". We tried the Bun Bo Hue which was a spicy beef broth with thick vermicelli noodles and a combination of sliced beef and pork hock.
The soup had a spicy tang as advertised but was a little on the salty side for our liking but when combined with the vegetable garnish the mixture compliments one another.
There was a generous supply of sliced beef and pork hock which ensured the dish was not only tasty but filling.
The food achieves a high 3.5 rating in our books and if it was just food that you were after, this place would be a 5.
Sadly, the brillance stops here. It actually took us 10 minutes to get a table as the staff were busy doing other things, serving customers, taking orders, chit chatting to each other. It was only when we asked if a booking was required that we were acknowledged and told to "sit there!" by somebody whom we could only assume is the owner based on her rude treatment of customers. The table we were asked to sit at... still full of dirty dishes and leftover food. It was another 10 minutes before a waitress came and quickly cleared the table without wiping it down.
At this point our patience was wearing thin but having heard good things about the place we patiently waited another 5 minutes before our order was taken. Considering the slow, rude and unprofessional customer service we were surprised at the speed the food came out.
Overall, this destination rates well for food, a little more expensive than other similar styled vietnamese eateries but where the staff lost us was the customer service, or lack thereof, and the cleanliness of this destination.
