This is a super cute Vietnamese street food cafe with lots of fun things on the menu. Three stars for the food but a bonus star for the awesome friendly service.
The lemonade special sounded really nice and refreshing, so we ordered them. They were tart and full of ice (so, great for a hot day) but they were so sickeningly sweet that I ended up having to water mine down a lot.
We also ordered a couple of buns; the bun dough was pretty nice and fluffy, and the custard bun had a great filling. The green papaya salad was really refreshing and had a good amount of spice. The rice paper rolls were good, with a tasty filling, although the skins were a bit chewy.
The food did take a while to come out, but the place was PACKED on a weeknight and there was a function going on in the back garden as well, so some of the orders got sent to other tables and were mixed up, but we got everything we ordered for at the end.
The service however was pretty awesome. We had servers who came and chatted with us and even though they were busy, and they made sure we had plenty of water and we had everything we needed.
It can get pretty loud in here due to the concrete floors and open space. The garden out the back is a nice alternative if the weather is good. There's also parking in the back lot if you can't find any on the street. read more
