I am so grateful that I found Bun Chia Burrow! This was my first time ever leaving my bunny for boarding, and I was incredibly nervous. I'm very particular when it comes to Pebbles, so I spent weeks researching different places and kept finding myself coming back to BCB because of how knowledgeable and experienced they are with rabbits. As a very hands-on bun mom, I truly don't think there could have been a better place for my girl. Pebbles is free roam at home, so I felt guilty about the idea of her staying in a standard 4x4 enclosure for five days. BCB made it easy to find the perfect setup for her. They offer several enclosure sizes, including a full free-roam suite. I chose the XL Suite, which gave her plenty of room to stretch out and explore. One of my favorite features was the camera access. I was given a private link so I could check in on Pebbles whenever I wanted. I also received updates and photos throughout her stay, letting me know she was eating well, pooping normally, and doing great. Since she's a solo (but very happy and confident) bunny who's used to spending all her time with me, I especially appreciated that her boarding package included an hour of one-on-one human social time each day. That gave me so much peace of mind. Her area was always spotless, she had plenty of fresh hay, and they followed the feeding and care schedule I provided during the intake process. It was also reassuring to know they have experienced rabbit veterinarians they can contact if needed, along with the option to add pet insurance for extra peace of mind. The facility itself is wonderful. It's bright, spacious, and very clean. There are air purifiers throughout, and there were no odors or stuffiness at all. It took Pebbles about a day to settle in, but once she did, she really enjoyed her social time and looked so comfortable. I'm going to start this review by saying BCB single-handedly made my entire year. I'm forever grateful for everything they've done for my family! I was directed to their page by a rescue after 2 years of unsuccessful attempts at bonding my trio, and I was looking all over for a professional bonding service but none seemed to exist in my area. I was so discouraged because my bunnies would fight so aggressively no matter how hard I tried to bond them on my own, and my work schedule didn't allow for me to supervise them for extended periods of time. When I mention they were aggressive, I'm talking about immediate fighting on sight. They'd fight through the bars of their fences and sometimes I'd find one had escaped their pen while I was at work and they'd strewn huge clumps of fur all over the floor because they'd fought so viciously while I was away. We tried our best to keep them separated but these incidents kept happened and I knew I really needed a miracle. BCB was so accommodating and communicative from the beginning. They listened to my bunnies' entire history of aggression and walked us through their methods of bonding, and their waitlist was a few months long but I'd already endured two years so it really wasn't a big deal for us. We moved up the waitlist quickly and they took us in sooner than expected! The entire process was amazing. BCB consistently sent us photo updates as well as in depth reports of what they were trying, as well as how the bunnies were reacting. Some of these photos are now my favorite photos of them! We had to send them back after the initial time they came home because they fought again, and there were a few instances where we'd had to bring them back for other things, but BCB actually drove to pick them up or drop them off on multiple occasions which was incredibly generous of them. They never asked for anything in return, and even though we sent them back to be rebonded, this was included in the initial bonding fee and they never charged us for anything else. They were also so generous with the quality food, treats, and toys that they provided throughout the entire process. My bunnies came home happy and spoiled. They are so kind to each other now, and if you saw them today you'd never have guessed a few months ago they were at each other's throats. BCB are truly professionals in bunny behaviors and their groundbreaking approach to bonding should honestly be the new standard. I truly don't have the words to express just how thankful I am to them for bringing my family together. BCB are the kindest and most professional organization I've encountered in my entire 2 year effort to find a bonding service, and there's a reason why their success rate is 100%. No matter how difficult the case, they'll work on it until it's completed! A "bunny behavior specialist" seems like a thing you'd find on a Los Angeles stereotypes mad lib bingo board, but we had just adopted a new bunny that needed to be bonded with our existing bunny pair and the only resource we had was the internet...and it was full of conflicting ideologies and information. On the surface, bonding rabbits seems to be straight forward and the biggest hurdle you'll run into is time. In reality though, every rabbit is different and the littlest details can make the process easy or stressful and in some cases, dangerous. Luckily, we had met Sharina & Michael through an animal rescue group before and knew they were the perfect resource to get us through this. At first, we opted to use their remote bonding session where Sharina walked us through all the things we needed to do over Zoom. She made the process very straight forward and manageable and cut through all the "BS" you might find on the world wide web. She was also a resource moving forward when we had a small question or two. At first, things were going great...she set us up to do the slow and steady method and all of her tips were helpful and effective. By the end of the week, it seemed we on the verge of success...but of course every rabbit is different and we got to a point where the bonding plateaued and we were at risk of doing more harm than good. We needed a more deft touch and that's when we opted to have her bond our bunnies in person. Michael picked up our bunnies and took them away for five whole days. Knowing we'd miss them, Sharina sent us daily updates and pictures of them. The pictures were not only cute and made us miss them less, but also showed the progression of their bonding. When the five days were over, Sharina brought them back to our place and helped us get them acclimated to their new shared space. They came back like new bunnies, snuggling and grooming each other like a proper bond should be. We had such a difficult time bonding our two boys with our girl that it took two years of trying different things to no success. We reached out to so many different orgs and shelters for help, but nobody had the resources or ability to help us. I'm extremely grateful to Sharina at Bun Chia Burrow for her timely response and feedback while my bun was sick with GI Stasis. Sharina responded to my texts with advice including questions to ask the veterinarian to better inform my decision about my rabbit's care, then, upon assessing my bun's situation, she recommended an at-home consultation once my bun was home from the hospital, rather than transferring to an overnight hospital or sending my bonded pair for medical boarding with her. I opted for caring for my bun at my home, guided by Sharina's in-person consultation. The hospital staff were not able to feed my rabbit much throughout the day he was hospitalized, but Sharina was immediately able to syringe feed him over 20 cc's once he was home, which she explained was an essential part of his recovery. She coached me how to use the syringe in a way that my rabbit wouldn't aspirate, provided ideas for keeping him interested in eating, and kept in contact with me for questions afterward. Best of all, Sharina helped provide me with a game plan and helped me gain peace of mind that I was making informed decisions for what was best for my bun - something that is difficult for a bun parent to do during an emergency. I had a family tripped that was booked years in advanced that I couldn't get out of and of course that's when my senior bunny started going downhill. I reached out to a rescue and was recommended to Bun Chia. I was so scared of leaving her but Sharina visited me beforehand to discuss care. Bun Chia Burrow bonded my two pairs of two into a foursome a few months ago. I was anticipating lots of difficulties with the process because most of my bunnies have special needs and are older. The process went so smoothly that it was amazing, and this "helicopter" bunny mom was never worried that they were not receiving the attention and supervision they needed. I received pictures and feedback multiple times daily. All the necessary medications were given promptly and properly, and the set-up was roomy and comfortable as the bonding progressed. After my bunnies returned home, we had one issue, due to one of my bunnies feeling unwell and becoming aggressive to her new bonded mates.
