Concerned something was wrong, I drove to the pick up window. Again, window was open, but no one was there. After waiting another 5 minutes, I finally called out to an employee who had passed by the window a few time without acknowledging me. She told me I'd have to drive back around and go through the line again. Needless to say after already having to wait 20 minutes, I did not drive back through the line. This is a rural area and you don't have options to go to other fast food restaurants, so you put up with some level of bad service and food. Frankly, the service at this location has always been lacking, but never to this extent. I'll never go back and do not recommend.

Bump on in today and taste why at bumpers drive-in it's all about the food…read more Southern hospitality throwback feel with a side of variety. Bumpers offers their classic Burgers sides & great quality menu items unavailable at nationally known competitors like their country fried steak sandwich and jumping jack fries loaded with cheese bacon and ranch. Bump on In & get your eat on at Bumpers Drive-In.  Going on frequent road trips I try to find a unique local fast food place when passing thru & ready to stop for gas or a meal break. Discovering Bumpers searching Google. My decision was to eat here as the location added convenience of them located inside the Exxon great compared to extra driving. After gasing up, I proceeded to the drive-thru deciding on a works burger and jumping jack fries. The cashier taking my order spoke with clarity as I understood her & their menu was visually clear. Excellent service & receiving a complete order? I didnt expect it. Their cashiers' friendly & will make sure you have a wonderful experience.    Their burgers are for the most part enjoyable, I would rank it better than Sonic or BK. It lacks greasyness offering a proportionate amount of toppings and condiments, hot, cooked & seasoned. This would be the most flavorful drive thru burger enjoyed to date. Jumping jack fries, are the most unique flavor combination yet in addition to ranch I've ever seen offered. When it comes to dessert I would recommend the apple pies over their next door competitors as Bumpers has additional cinnamon to them & are more moist. Their ice cream machine works which would make customers migrate to Bumpers next door for their sweet tooth fix. The dessert menu offers a better variety compared to their competitors. Future visits are anticipated on my next road trips. I might dine in on another visit to stretch & relax compared to doing the drive thru.  Be sure to like on FB & tell a friend Macon Frontage St. Location:  https://www.facebook.com/Macon-Exxon-1964150916947653/ Corporate:  https://www.facebook.com/bumpersdrivein/ Website:  http://www.bumpersdrivein.com

I knew it was new to the area but had no idea how long it had been around despite being born in Mississippi. Any restaurant that has been in business for over 4 decades, has to be doing something right. The Chicken Biscuit with Gravy was excellent! The Hashbrown was perfectly cooked, nice & crispy outside and soft & flaky inside. As good as the Chicken was, the star was the Blueberry Donuts. I've never seen somewhere that offered a donut as the side for your combo. My wife who is a big fan of blueberry cake style donuts, said these ones at Connie's were the best she ever had and had to go get another one to "share" after only giving me a small bite of the first one. She said to give it 3 thumbs up. In addition to the great food, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, which is not always the case with many fast food or fast casual restaurants lately. Connie's will absolutely be on our list for future trips!
