Shady business! Buyers beware! Sold me a F150 that had a rusty frame and timing chain…read moreguide/tensioner issues! There were no holes in the frame and the body looked good with just a little rust on the rear wheel well but overall it looked good and well cared for a 2007 when I bought it. Come to find out they just knocked the loose rust off and spray painted over the remaining rust and pulled some tricks of illusion to make it look good. Even used tape on the frame and blended it in good with paint and puddy! They knew the frame was rotting and did a pretty good job of covering it up and making it look good! now months later its obvious the frame is rotting out. Big chunks have fallen out, its got about a 1inch crack going up the frame right by the rear leaf spring. Right where the cross beam is that runs under the transmission is starting to buckle! It DID NOT look anything like this when I bought it! And of course the timing chain guide/tensioner issue's. The truck will occasionally make ALOT of rattling on cold starts due to oil bleeding out of the timing tensioner when it sits for extended periods of time even with a good Motorcraft oil filter with the silicon anti-drainback valve. I've been working on vehicles my whole life and can say they did a REALLY good job of making the truck appear much nicer then it actually was! Last but not least their posting online said " The truck runs and drives amazing! And is a pretty clean truck." Shady business, shady people! Do not buy anything from these crooks!

I purchased a vehicle from Hometown a few months ago. It was advertised that it ran and drove well. This was not the case. I live in a different state, so I had to have the vehicle shipped. I have bought many vehicles over the years, and I've never had one shipped to me. Needless to say, I will never do that again. I'm aware that used vehicles sold are as-is, but this was downright false advertisement. Once I received the vehicle, I took it out for a drive, excited to finally have it. Once I got to around 30mph, it started to shake violently, and there was a lot of noise being made. After getting it back home, I noticed leaks coming from the brake lines. I could no longer drive it, as it was unsafe with the leaking brake lines. I had it towed to a shop, and upon further inspection, it needed several repairs. The total cost of repairs ended up being several thousand dollars. Hard lesson learned. Buyer beware.

I called back a bit later as the price was over 2/3 of a brand new one and he said no "you can't find 'em anywhere". I said I was going to come take a look at it, it was already 4p. Arrived at 4:30p on a Friday (open til 5p) and he was bitching about "well I guess I am not getting out of here at 4:30 now" to the other "customer" that was just throwing cash at him. I asked to have the oil pump cover removed as this is where the damage was on mine and was significant and I wanted to check this one before putting it on a brand new engine... He pushed back some but went back and "buzzed" out the bolts" I heard two swear words that I thought maybe he busted a bolt on it (which had happened to mine also) But he came out and put it on the counter. While I removed the drive and inspected the plate underneath, I asked if he knew how many miles the engine had that it was taken out of and he started pissing and moaning. "NO! What kind of question is that?? I sold the guy a motor, he brought his in, and I stripped it. WHO CARES?" After wiping off the grease it was rough and one VISIBLE pitted area was kind of scary. So I said "Thank you for pulling it but I don't want to put that in my car." He THREW A SHIT FIT!!! He said "I knew you were gonna be a problem, all the questions! So you don't want it now??!! Never come back in here EVER again@ Waste my time on a Friday night!! NEVER COME BACK IN HERE!!!" I stamped back with "you said it was inspected and obviously not.
