    Bump's 2012 Sauvignon Blanc.
    Shayna P.

Geordie owns the place with his wife and it's honestly one of the relaxing and welcoming cellars in Sonoma. They have local artists featured every month and I'm surprised not more wine cellars don't do this. Art and wine just seem to blend perfectly together. When my boyfriend and I visited Bump, we just happened to stumble upon it based on where we parked. Geordie was the only person in there and gave us nothing less than a 5-star attentiveness, he explained his lifestory and was just a real and humble guy. A family man who works hard to provide for his family with his passion. Their selection is limited but they are a pretty new company so they're still expanding and experimenting on their wines. Their wines are decent, but have the potential and attitude to be great over time. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area to see what art and wine they have featured next.

Bump is a cute, well decorated and artistic wine tasting lounge in downtown Sonoma. Geordie, the gentleman who poured our tasting was unfailingly gracious and generously shared his passion for local wine and local art. His wine pours were generous as well, which he "warned" us about up front. Despite its subject matter (wine and art), Bump and Geordie are unpretentious and very welcoming. For example, Georgie offered us a (gratis) plate of bread and cheese from an art party they had hosted the evening before, to go along with our tasting. From the deep, cushy couches to the ambient electronica music playing in the background, Bump is a perfect place to relax with friends and drink some wonderful wine. Geordie explained where the grapes for each of the wines were grown (all local Sonoma farmers), as well as how and why the winemaker selected the particular grapes that went into each wine. Each of the wines we tasted was very well crafted, and we enjoyed everything we tasted. We ended up with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which has a refreshing, bright character and crisp green apple and honey notes. From the excellent service, to the delightful wine and relaxing atmosphere, we highly recommend visiting Bump if you're in downtown Sonoma; you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic little place. Geordie (winemaker and owner) was friendly and informative. In our first time around, his wife was the only one around. She was very friendly and attentive as well! Great place to relax and enjoy some great wines (Chardonnay, Fortune, and Syrah were our favorites). Highly recommended!

They can't really advertise from the street, and I probably wouldn't have found it without Yelp! The wines are excellent and come with a great story. One detail I especially loved is that they age their wines in Hungarian oak, which gives them something a little different and special. Gwen, the tasting room manager, was fantastic. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and really took the time to tell us the story behind the wines and Obsidian. The tasting room has only been at this location for about two years, but it feels like one of those Sonoma spots you're glad you discovered. The space itself is small, modern, relaxed, and friendly. There's outdoor seating for beautiful Sonoma days, but if it's really hot, I recommend sitting inside and enjoying the AC. Definitely worth seeking out if you're around Sonoma Square. We were first introduced to them back when they had their tasting room at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. The setting there was incredibly welcoming--especially with our three young kids at the time--and between the atmosphere and the wines, we were hooked from the start. The wines are consistently outstanding. Their Lake County lineup really stands out, and the Volcanic Estate Cabernet has been a go-to in our house for years--it's always been reasonably priced and somehow overdelivers every single time we open a bottle. On the other end of the spectrum, the Half Mile is more of a special occasion wine for us, and it never disappoints. Winemaker Alex clearly knows what he's doing--his reds are fantastic across the board. The Cabernet, Petit Verdot, and Malbec from that volcanic Lake County fruit are bold, expressive, and incredibly well made. We've been wine club members for years now, which says a lot. Great wines, great people, and a place that's been part of our family's wine journey for a long time. Highly recommend.

They have a large fish pond and it's 25 cents for a cup of fish food to feed the turtles and koi. This is one of the most family friendly wineries I've seen. Many people bring their kids. They have corn holes too. Fancy and Pudding were the highlight! I reached out and felt like a Disney princess having one of them come to me for pets. The restrooms were very clean as well! It was fun browsing the store too. And of course the tasting and charcuterie board were a fantastic experience. I loved the cheeses and almonds they had. We had the option of deviating from the tasting menu. But everything we tasted was great! I think you can also bring your own snacks. It's a great winery experience. Nothing for praise for Cline Cellars. The day we went it looks like they were setting up a wedding later in the day. But that didn't negatively impact our experience at all.

It's members only (plus entourage) and we were able to enjoy a bites pairing with our wine tasting on their hacienda. Upon checking in, we were given a complimentary "splash" (it was more than that) of their rosé of pinot noir, then shown to our table. The grounds are gorgeous- it feels very secluded and the design and layout was spectacular. We were served by Fran, who was so knowledgeable and had some super cool tattoos that my friends and I were in awe of. We tried the sylvaner, chardonnay, syrah, and pinot noir. The light bites were delicious as well and were filling for our group of 5! They brought out a salad with rosemary roasted almonds, anchovy vinaigrette, fried olives, blistered shishito peppers, green beans and gigante beans, and toast with roasted tomatoes, dill, basil, and a cheese(?). Everything was so fresh and such a delicious pairing with our drinks. We also got a splash of their vermuth at the end. We were told that Scribe acquired some of the property next door so they'll be focusing on estate wine creation. It was $85, and with tax and service fee it came out to $111 each. When my girls and I arrived, we were greeted by a host named, Justin. She was immensely warm and inviting, basically sunshine in a person, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable!! She poured us a welcome glass of rose, and my girls and I were able to walk around the property (which was truly stunning) with our glasses. When we were seated, we were served rosemary almonds, and our server came up and introduced the history of the venue, as well as the menu, and wine. The menu was set, and it was absolutely incredible. This was the first time I felt as though this experience included an actual MEAL rather than an array of small bites or a small charcuterie platter: 1. fried olives 2. tomatoes and cucumbers with whipped feta (MY FAVORITE) 3. Prosciutto, melon and basil 4. Braised butterbeans with SCRIBE olive oil 5. House-made flatbread (so delicious) The wine was amazing, of course. We received about 4 glasses of 3 oz pours, which was enough for us. The Chardonnay was definitely my favorite. We reserved our tasting but they do walk-ins, which we noticed were seated at the bar. So if you'd like your own table, I would make a reservation to be sure. The day we went, we did an indoor tasting because it was so cold, they didn't do any outdoor tastings. The outdoor courtyard is covered, and they have a large event space with some wine barrels that I presume is for wedding receptions. You can walk out to the fountain and vineyards and take pictures.
