Took my '65 Lincoln to them for a problem ( before they moved ). They misdiagnosed it, fixed or replaced something that wasnt faulty so i still had the original problem and a $400 bill. Thanks for nothing. Took it to some eastside mexican shop and they found / diagnosed the real problem and fixed it. Nothing to discuss. That's what happened. When I called back to let them know the same shit is happening they of course said to bring it in. No thanks i dont want another $400 bill and the same f problem. We have been on vacation from San Antonio and my son is a car freak! So we decided to just walk through and look at the parking lot! We met a man named Shawn and he told us the history of the place, introduced us to the owner and his beautiful, talented, but most importantly polite, and sweet daughters. My son was in Heaven and so were we! I've never been somewhere that people have made us feel special and so honored!!! They work on world renown record breaking vehicles from all over the US!!! And yet, the took time, to talk to a random family just being nosy!!! We are so honored and are going to follow them to shows and support them in everything possible!! Bumbera's had our '84 C10 for ten weeks and all we received was empty promises, terrible/non-existent customer service, and disrespect. When we dropped it off for minor clearance issues of the oil pan, we were told they would evaluate what needed to be done and Sean would call us with an estimate within one week. Two weeks passed with no phone call. When we called, we were told they had not had a chance to look but would, and we would receive a call from Sean within the next week. Still nothing. Week four was Hurricane Laura, we had to call and request our truck be moved inside and my wife was spoken to with complete disrespect by another staff member. By the way, we were also told the truck would be moved inside after we dropped it off due to the engine being only covered with a tarp. During that call, the owner got on the phone with me and mistook me for three other customers before asking which vehicle was ours! Week ten (Friday), still no incoming phone call from Bumbera to us in any way. We drove up there to pick it up with a trailer. Upon asking for it, we were told that it would "take a minute" to get to it and it would probably be Monday before they could get it out. We insisted we were picking it up right then, and they needed to get it for us. Within five minutes, the truck was being pushed out to the parking lot which only tells me it was not being stored inside like we were promised. The keys were in the ignition and the staff members walked away without another word. We loaded the truck ourselves after ten weeks of empty promises and a lot of frustration. If you don't mind waiting forever, being treated poorly, and being profiled or looked down upon for not wanting to spend upwards of $15K, then Bumbera's is your place. bumberas, Well, I had my car delivered and Sean said he could have me running in 3 weeks. I had to wait in line for 2 weeks. After 5 weeks Sean said it would be 2 more weeks. I really wanted my truck back in Sept as promised but allowed some more time because Sean said he need just a few more weeks. I asked to be sure to have it done by Oct 30th, in time for duck season. After about 70 days he told me to get it towed away. What a complete waste of my time. Really, pick up a few days before I needed it? What a liar Sean was. They don't know how to do anything over there. The truck looked exactly how I had left it. Sean CLAIMED he had started work a month or more ago.... nothing was accomplished at all. It was a big block chevy that need to start and run by Nov. Now I am screwed again .. Complete failures at communication, complete jerks at service, and completely lost at being a mechanic. They must all be parts changers.... stay away! read more

My car's 'check engine' light came on. A scanner showed a code--the left oxygen sensor was faulty. I called Bumbera's, discussed the code with Sean, the manager, & arranged to bring the car in for an estimate. I had just washed/waxed the car, so I specifically asked that the car be kept inside. Sean assured me it would be garaged. Two days later Sean called; he said the oxygen sensors were bad along with other problems. The cost for parts & labor (at $90.00/hr) to repair all problems was $4000.00. I asked the cost of parts/labor to repair each problem. I spent hours exhaustively researching each problem, the cost of parts/labor etc. Sean said it would take 5 hours to replace the 3 oxygen sensors. The facts are as follows: the 3 oxygen sensors are changed easily--place the car on a lift to access them. Chevrolet dealers' charge an ample 1 hour labor per sensor i.e. 3 hrs. total not 5 hrs. Furthermore, the 2 oxygen sensors on the right were fine, did not trigger a code, & did not need replacing. Sean said oil was leaking onto the distributor rotor--the distributor needed to be replaced. He quoted 10 hours labor to replace the distributor & $700.00 for the distributor. The facts are as follows: Chevrolet dealers list 4 hrs. labor to replace the distributor--Bumbera's was charging 2.5 times the labor charged by dealers. Sean said the car needed brake pads, new spark plugs and ignition wires etc. I decided to go elsewhere. I went to Bumbera's to get the car--dirt was caked on the hood, trunk lid & top. It had been out in the rain all night. Sean did not even offer to clean it. I took the car to a reputable, experienced mechanic. He found a tiny oil leak from the front seal. He & 2 other 'car guys' recommended that I not repair this tiny leak. The ONLY repair the car needed was replacement of the 1 oxygen sensor. Parts & labor ran $135.00. I have a 68 Chevelle, when I bought it I knew it needed some work. The guys at Bumbera's and I came up with a plan to knock it out. They would work on it during the week and I would pick it up on the weekend. In about a month they had her rubbing better than ever. Russell would call me during the week and keep me updated. You know when you go to a performance shop you expect they will replace performance parts with the same or better parts. When I brought my Ford Lightning to Bumbera's I expected they would replace my shocks with performance parts. Instead they put the cheapest shocks they could on my truck and charged me an extremely high price. This shop has got to be the worst performance shop around the Houston area. I would love to get my money back but I'm sure that will not happen. read more

Proceed to the place with caution. I had some work done on my car....$420. My car continued to make the same noise and every time I would bring my car in to have them look at it, they would always say they were busy and asked it I could come on a less busy day. I finally had them look at my car and "Nick" gave me a estimate of 1200.00 to "fix everything". My boyfriend decided to take his car there for repairs. The car sat for over a month while "Nick" continued to say that they were waiting on a tire that had to come from out the state! What kind of tire was that? Must be made of gold! So they call us to come pick up the car because "Nick" says that the repairs will cost more than the insurance will pay and guess what!! Someone put a hole in the grill from those RV's that are parked there! Nick proceeded to say that he knew nothing about the hole in the grill. Before and after pictures don't lie! brought my truck for a cia cat back and custom tune after paying they said parts will be in by 3 days it took a week for the parts the tune was not custom truck ran horrable would not even shift through all the gears took it back for adjustment fixed the prob but said we could not put it back on dyno to be sure took it to another shop for a retune truck never run better keep your car away from this place read more
