Highly recommend this shop. Visited Bullock's Archery for the first time and I was very happy with the visit overall. I primarily went to have a new string installed on my bow. I live very far away from any shops but chose to drive an extra 40 minutes to this place because I heard so many good things about the service. For me it was all true. Due to my distance they let me make an appointment and wait for my service to be completed. The Gentleman who installed the string made sure it was fully setup and ready to shoot before I left and even gave me some good pointers to help with my form. I also purchased a takedown recurve for my young daughter who has been wanting to shoot archery ever since she saw my bow. The pricing was very fair and the service was fantastic. Everyone there from the staff to the customers was welcoming and the staff was especially knowledgeable. I am officially making this my recommendation for those in need of archery supplies and service. I did not take an actual lesson but the tips and adjustments given to me while I was testing out the new string were spot on. It was definitely "hot in range!" Had a great time at Bullocks Archery this afternoon. They do take walk-ins, but I booked a 30 min private archery lesson for 3 ppl online with Valerie for $75.00, added on 1 more person at the shop for $15.00. We learned so much in such a short time- like stance, grip, draw, and release, safety and range etiquette. My son just had his first archery lesson with Tara and she was amazing. She was so patient and made sure to keep my son safe while teaching him exactly what to do. She didn't mind that she had to repeat some things a couple of times for my son to get it. I appreciate the fact that she made him feel comfortable and confident during the lesson. We didn't buy anything yet, but I did see they have a large selection of items to purchase. The private lessons are $35 for 30 minutes. My son loved it so much he asked his dad and I if we could please take him again soon. We are going to take him back for some more lessons as well as his sister. I think this is a great sport for children. It teaches them to listen, hand eye coordination, safety and patience. read more

TLDR: Came in here because I was interested in archery. Owners took the time to help me choose a nice compound bow, measured my draw, and taught me how to fire it correctly. I've never fired a bow before and my bow was fixed too good, I was firing in the center. This is my second time visiting BullockS, the first time I needed to fix my strings on my bow, and they did it quick and the service was great. I came back second time to restring my crossbow. The two ladies and the gentlemen that works there were very nice and very helpful. They did a awesome job on the stringing. A really nice place to come to and talk about bows. I went to Bullock's to get my pull weight updated. It has been many years since I've had a Bow. The store was well stocked and the owners were very knowledgeable and helpful. I tried out a Bow for weight, found 25 pounds to be my favorite. They picked out a nice 3 piece recurve and I agreed with their choice. Excellent price and quality. Adding my two cents in case the 30 other 5-star reviews aren't enough! I just took a 30-minute traditional archery lesson here with Val and had such a blast. I took a lesson or two when I was a kid but was basically starting from scratch. I feel so excited to go more often and, per Val's suggestion, will likely alternate between renting out the range and taking more lessons. It is great to have this shop in town! read more

The absolute best local archery range - seriously, this is a no brainier whether your a beginner or more advanced. My husband and I called up the Friday afternoon hoping for a chance to bring my nephew's who were leaving for home the very next day. It was such last notice that they were completely booked up. The owners came in an hour early JUST so this experience could happen for my nephew's - I see once every three to four years so they had no idea how much this meant to everyone involved. Not only that but the experience was out of this world such an educational and bonding experience that my husband and i and my nephews will get to talk about for YEARS to come. My husband and I shoot for fun with equpment we bought online for each other a few years ago so this has also definitely encouraged us to back to learn and invest more in this awesome hobby. Me and a friend decided to try something new. That new thing was archery. Read on for first time archers.... With literally NO experience in this sport, not even girl scouts or summer camp outings, I was pretty amped on shooting some $#!*. But also a bit anxious about the whole endeavor. We signed up for a 30min private lesson with Tara - who was an absolute pleasure, BTW. Especially when she complimented me on my arrow groupings :). As we walked into the storefront, a few questions started swirling around in my head.... Would I be able to successfully draw the bow and shoot an arrow? Will I even hit the target? Would I be embarrassingly shown up by my friend? Answer: Yes. Yes. Debatable. Bullock's Archery gave me that therapeutic session I needed. We learned the basic fundamentals of archery, got the lingo down (Set. Draw. Release), as well as the run down on shooting range safety. Great family business to deal with. Went in looking for a new bow for my son, merely looking for ideas. Staff greeted us warmly and walked us through all our questions, checked my son for eye dominance, and applied no pressure toward sales. In the end they offered great recommendations, offered to set an incoming bow on hold until his birthday, and walked us through the entire process from set up to included lessons. Found Bullocks Archery through the Axxess Card. Called up the shop and made a training appointment. Today was my first visit to the shop. Ms. Val was very welcoming and personable. She was a pleasure to chat with while doing the paperwork. My lesson was conducted by Mr. Steve. This Gentlemen has probably forgotten more about Archery and Equipment than I could ever hope to know. My lesson was 1 on 1 and Mr. Steve gave me his undivided attention and coaching. My first set of arrows were all over the place. Learning form, anchor position and instinctive aiming. We tried several string holding and anchor points before settling on something that worked for "Me". My last round of Arrows, all four were in the yellow. I decided to end on a high point. Bullocks Archery has a family feeling to it, very welcoming. Something the Corporate stores are lacking. No merchandise or sales were pushed. I felt welcome and not pressured. I recently decided to get into archery. I had zero experience, only small expectations. I loved that there is a local shop that I could support and get help from. I called on a Saturday and they had me come right in. It is a true family operation. They listened to my goals on how I wanted to get into archery, back yard target and eventually hunting, and put a Bowtech Amplify in my hands. It felt awkward at first but would eventually be mine. They took precise measurements and made all the necessary adjustments to the bow. Eventually, I got to shoot my first arrows. After a few pointers, I was hitting the bullseye (once). While I was being taken care of, there were many long time customers coming and going. They were all treated like family. Actually, there were several families that came in and the kids all had bows, took lessons and impressed me to no end. I am very happy with my bow, the service, the kindness and understanding of my obvious novice skills, and the price. I came home with a new bow, arrows and release. I bought a target for the back yard and am now hitting it from 40 yards no problem. I highly recommend Bullocks first before even considering a big box store. read more

First time I went in here, I was with my boyfriend. We were just curious about archery. We showed up to this place 30 minutes before they were to suppose to close. They welcomed us and gave us a lesson and we ended up staying an hour and half after hours. They didn't try and sell us anything and they didn't charge us for this lesson that happen sort of organically. At that point I wasn't ready to buy a bow but I knew when I was, I would come back to Bullock's. Eight months later, I bought a bow and have been going back ever since. I'm not one to typically write reviews. But let me tell you I was absolutely 100% floored at how good of a place this is. I've shot archery for a while now and many shops as fancy as they are do not know there stuff. Let me tell you these people KNOW their stuff. They showed the best customer service I have ever experienced. The owner even stayed late to work on my bow because he knew I was flying out for a hunt and he would do whatever it took to get my arrows flying right again. The prices are great, the hospitality is unparalleled, and the feeling of family reminded me of my papa and how he was a pure genuine soul with so much knowledge to offer. There are many bow shops all over. Some good some bad none are like bullock archery this place is 1 of a kind. It was my first time going there and I will forever make the 1hr and 20 min drive because you just can't beat them. What a fun time my 8 yr old daughter and I had at this archery experience. Tonight was our second lesson here... this family really knows how to put the fun in fundamentals. Their safe practices really make it enjoyable, and we can't wait to go again. Friday's they close at 7:00, and what a great way to kick off the weekend. My daughter gets so excited when I ask her if she'd like to go shoot some arrows with the owners Valerie and Steve. This place is your local hometown feel good feelin' kind of place. Just recently my girlfriend,daughter and I went in this shop to just take a look and see what they had. 2 and a half hours later we were walking out with two bows for my daughter and I. Steve and his daughter were so awesome with my daughter and made our visit an experience to remember! They gave my daughter lessons while we were there and left my daughter smiling from ear to ear.
