This is the third time I worked with bulletproof auto spa and they never cease to amaze me. They did a clear bra for my Tesla back in 2017, a complete vinyl wrap on my Supra in 2020 and recently did a matte PPF on my Model X. The attention to detail from the team was outstanding and the quality of work has stood the test of time. They were very professional and communicated throughout the entire process. They're customer service and follow-up has been amazing.
I received my 2023 Civic Type R with paint swirls off the dealer lot in November. I immediately searched LA for a reputable and high quality shop that had a portfolio of work and led me to contact Sean at Bulletproof Auto Spa as I didn't know much about paint correction, PPF, and ceramic coating. Sean spent an hour consulting me on the process of paint correction, ceramic coating, and PPF and I was still undecided- so I scheduled a decon wash to have the car checked in person! After the decon wash, Sean and team showed me all of the areas that needed work while sharing immense knowledge of paint processes on new cars from the factory. That same day, I decided I would move forward with front PPF, full body paint correction and full ceramic coating. They were a team that I fully trusted even though I was new to all of this. At the end of the day - a good business is built on trust and execution. They won my trust and executed perfectly. Fast forward two weeks of constant updates from Sean and the car was done (even with Thanksgiving in between)!! I'll let the photos show the results but I was amazed as the car looked completely new - showroom quality! I would recommend anyone who is considering this process to reach out to Bulletproof Auto Spa and bring the car in person. They also threw in a few extra goodies like Gyeon car soap, and a few smaller PPF pieces for my trunk. Shows how much they care about their customers - I will even be scheduling my monthly washes here as they are top notch and I don't trust anyone else with touching the car moving forward!
Bulletproof was an absolute delight to work with in getting my Lucid Air Grand Touring wrapped in an epic purple color! There was a minor imperfection on the front bumper that I didn't catch before delivery. They worked with myself and Lucid Motors to get a replacement bumper acquired, painted, and sent over so that the final wrap would be perfect, which it is! Communication through the whole process was on-point. It was slightly delayed due to the bumper issue, but they let me know every step of the way where we were and what to expect next. Final product is epic and I think speaks for itself in photos. They did such an amazing job with the wrap, tint and protection. Delight to work with!
I haven't owned a car in over 25 years but ended up recently getting a tesla model s plaid. The only thing I didn't like about the car was it not being a unique color. After a ton of research I settled on a color and Bulletproof as the company to do the vinyl wrap, ceramic coat, window tinting and windshield protectant. Bulletproof did an amazing job especially with everything and Mike was a pleasure to work with as he made everything super easy. He even came out to help me inspect my car when I got it initially delivered. I'm not a car guy but having this beautiful modern machine actually brings me a little bit of joy everyday and I am really grateful for finding businesses that take pride in their work and deliver a top shelf customer experience.
Pro: The application of the Xpel clear wrap to my Audi R8 V10+ was expert and the results exceptional / The customer service was professional, while communication was spot-on and flexible ||| Con: Bulletproof Wrap does not work with insurance companies RiKKi~2
After years of anticipation for the purchase of my red-on-white Model 3 Dual Motor Performance, I set out on a quest to research just about every high-end aftermarket design shop in the SoCal area. Narrowed down to a list of a dozen shops in the Los Angeles area, the team at Bulletproof Auto Spa and Unplugged Performance stood out above all the rest not just for their portfolio of work, but equally as important, for their expertise in seeing my dream project through to reality. In the long back-and-forth discussions leading up to the start of my project, Mike from the Bulletproof team spearheaded the effort to discuss and game plan each and every detail I wanted to see realized on my Tesla. His years and years of aftermarket auto experience made it clear to me that I was in the very best of hands, working within my budget, but maximizing every bit of skill and savvy that the Bulletproof team puts on the table. When the project started, what set Bulletproof onto a pedestal of their own became clearer and clearer with each passing day. The team treats your vehicle as their own, leaving no detail uncovered. Whether it's their laser-like precision in PPF application or the blindingly beautiful ceramic coating process they undertake, Sean and Tricia's hands-on touch resulted in a finished product that looked leaps and bounds better than anything that's ever left the factory. In particular, moments of special consideration and extra effort shone through when Sean volunteered his time late in the evening to discuss developments on the project as they unfolded. The team at Bulletproof Auto Spa and Unplugged Performance treat you like family and your vehicle as their own--their work ethic is unrivaled, their precision is unmatched, and their willingness to go above and beyond is sure to put a smile on your face. If you've just pulled the trigger on your dream car or you want to breathe new life into a beloved auto in your garage, you can do no better than Bulletproof Auto Spa. They're SoCal's golden standard, and they'll be the best decision you ever made for your vehicle.
I had Bulletproof Auto Spa wrap my Model 3 in KPMF glossy purple black and I couldn't be more blown away by the results. Mike, Sean, Tricia and the rest of the team over really showed their passion and skill in what they do, the wrap work is perfect. The attention to detail is definitely the key part in any wrap, and it really shows with the work they've done. Everything is covered and sealed with a ceramic coating to keep it just that bit more protected. I also really appreciated the frequent updates from them during the wrap work. It's the little details that make the whole experience that much better. From the very beginning they were super approachable and easy to talk with about everything, seeing as this is my first time wrapping a car and I was terrified of getting it wrong. From color choice to post-delivery care work, they've answered my (billion) questions super quickly. We had some hurtles along the way from supply shortages but they were able to come up with a look that honestly left me speechless. (Obligatory "that's my car?!?") Couldn't be more thrilled with what Bulletproof Auto Spa was able to do.
If you truly care about your vehicle, youd want the best service for it. Look no further because Sean and Tricia are second to none when it comes to quality and attention to detail on what they do. They are super passionate about their job and will treat you like family and not just some customer. I had my bmw M3 fully wrapped and ceramic coated by them and literally everyone thought it was a paintjob because of how perfect it was. They also dechromed my Tesla model 3 and i promise you itll probably look better than the dechrome from the tesla factory on its newer cars with that option LOL. Save yourself the headache and go with Bulletproof Autospa. Youll thank me later
I drive a Subaru STI so this review is for my basic b's out there debating on whether or not to splurge on exterior car care. My car has rock chips, it's 7 years old, and it has the infamous factory-thin Subaru paint job - but I love her. So I gave her a spa day after our cross-country road trip through dirt and snow. Bulletproof Auto Spa provided excellent service from beginning to end. The consultation was highly informative and it helped me solidify what exactly I wanted to get done to my car. I went with paint correction and ceramic coating. This was my first time getting anything like this done to my car so my trust was in their care. The communication was top-notch. I received progress updates during each phase so it was nice being part of the process. The outcome of the services provided was jaw-dropping. She looks amazing! If my car didn't have rock chips I'd say she almost looks brand new. Water stains? Gone. Swirls? Goodbye. Weird grease marks? Never there. Clearly, they're very passionate about what they do because it's reflected in their work.
I have an exotic that needed what I considered to be some minor paint correction and I was curious about the paint protection film process and associated costs. I spent some time online doing the best research I could on the topic so I could maintain a reasonable, educated conversation. Due Diligence these days amounts to consistently high reviews, availability and genuine, good character - all very rare to find these days. I completed an online inquiry on the Bulletproof Auto Spa website in late March of 2022. The very next day, I was contacted by their Production Manager, Sean Tracey. I found him to be very personable and engaging: 'I'd love to see the car in person to give you a paint inspection and guide you on the best pathway to protecting your investment.' More than anything I felt Sean held a natural interest in the well-being of my vehicle in addition to a vision of the final product. None of the other boutique shop's displayed his remarkable candor and extraordinary insight on the topic. Time would pass as I was out of the Country and I reached back out in early October 2022. It was as if two old friends had picked up just where we left off months earlier. After visiting the location in Hawthorne, CA I received a preliminary estimate which admittedly was on the higher end of the spectrum. Sean remained both resolute and confident about the process including the necessary time needed to complete it. Further, he informed me upon conclusion, that these types of projects included a detailed, high-resolution photoshoot whereby photos could be accessed through Dropbox. I gradually could tell this was not going to be a regular job, rather a complete redesign. With additional work needed on the car, I would not be able to commit until January 2023. In good faith, Sean waived the customary 20% deposit to hold a January date and secured it with only $100 via PayPal. Before I knew it, the new year was here and I was dropping my baby off like it was her first day of kindergarten. Quite honestly, the paint appeared in relatively good condition to my untrained eye. The start to finish was just about seven days. Mid-week, Sean texted me to see if a paint-less dent removal tech could look at my vehicle and remove some small dings around the car. How could I resist? I had provided him with the landing report and was more than willing to accommodate. By months' end Sean texted me indicating that the Picasso was finished. He stated that it looked absolutely amazing in the sunlight - measurements were like glass. He was clearly as excited as I was. He had outdone himself; surpassing his highest expectations. I can honestly say that I didn't quite know what to expect. Certainly the car would look different but to what extent? As he rolled up the garage door, I literally felt like saying, 'Wow! Whose car is that?' The answer came quickly. This was way beyond a car detail, this was a piece of art. For starters, the car was showroom ready; concourse quality. It had clearly been pampered and coddled while in Sean's care. The first thing that caught my eye was the glossy, flawless finish of the paint. My best descriptive was that it looked like liquid metal. However, what was most impressive was how smooth the surface felt to the touch, as if the paint had been polished to perfection. The original paint is called Nero Daytona Metallic [Black] such that there are faint gold specs or flakes within. The car appears solid black until you approach it. The polish on the car was stunningly buffed as all of the fine lines on the car were brought to life. Upon closer inspection, you can see that every external nook and cranny of the car has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. This included the wheels and rims which were spotless. Further, the headlights and taillights are now crystal clear free of any blemishes. In the end, Sean is someone you would want associated with your car because he's simply a perfectionist with a deep knowledge of automotive paint restoration. Few people find their lot in life; Sean's life purpose can be found in his love of vehicle restoration. He is meticulous/conscientious and passionate about his craft. He treated my car as if it were his own and it is evident in his commitment to quality that shows in every aspect of my car's appearance. I think you have to have a degree of trust/belief in a business these days since there are many that are unscrupulous. Bulletproof Auto Spa is not one of those. I placed my full faith and confidence in both Sean and his team and I would just have easily lambasted them if their work was not up to par. They are a breed set apart. Kudos for exceeding my expectations and for earning another 5-star accolade. Overall, my car received a paint protection that is nothing short of outstanding. If you're looking to take your car's appearance to the next level, get on their calendar, you will not be disappointed. Tell them Rick sent you.
Bulletproof Auto Spa was a premium experience. This is extremely rare in the world of wraps. These guys know what they are doing, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Thanks for all of your help. When people say "trust us" nowadays that's hardly the case anymore. But with you guys it was right . Thanks for including me as much as you did in the process.
I've been driving my car for 4 years but it wasn't my ideal color from the start. It still performed amazingly and was low mileage so I brought it to bulletproof and the result was top notch everything I wanted. They detailed the car too which was a nice touch. Thank you Tricia for all your help and excellent customer service!

I trusted my Lexus LS430 (my BABY) with no one other than Tricia and Sean to have it vinyl wrapped. Due to the fitment of the body kit, I know this vehicle was no easy task, but I never once doubted their ability to do a great job. Their level of detail and care is astounding. They think of every possible issue ahead of time before anything has the chance to go wrong. They are highly experienced and will give you the best possible recommendations that suit your budget and personal style. For example, I originally wanted to wrap my car in KPMF Matte Aurora Pearl (a pearly matte white), but because my body kit was black and the rest of my car was white, they knew that a white vinyl wrap wouldn't come out with a good result due to the slight translucency of white vinyls. They gave me so many other options and sent me so many photos of samples to choose from. It took a while for me to make up my mind and I really appreciate how patient they were with me. I ended up choosing Avery Dennison Matte Midnight Sand Metallic and the result was stunning. Their application of the vinyl was truly flawless, not an imperfection to be seen. When the time comes to have my next vehicle vinyl wrapped, I wouldn't go to anyone else. read more

Got my annual ceramic maintenance done at Bulletproof Auto Spa. Worked with Mike before at Polished Protection and gladly followed him to BP. They did a great job on the car and plan to continue using them for spa type treatments and also Unplugged Performance for mods. Would definitely recommend anyone who's looking to get services/mods done to their car, to hit up Mike at Bulletproof Auto Spa. Thanks again to Mike, Sean, and the rest of the team! See y'all in a few months. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Mike and David from Bulletproof/Unplugged performance. They provided me with a detailed recommendation for my Model Y. Sean and Tricia then completed the work and I could not be happier. I went with full tint, paint correction and front end PPF, to protect my Model Y and investment for the next years to come! Their attention to detail, their quality of work, their materials are all top notch and nothing else come close! I highly recommend you call them to discuss options because whichever way you decide, you'll be 100000% satisfied. read more

I was apprehensive about getting the right color with my wrap and Sean was super helpful and gave me the right info to get things going. Got my blue Y covered in Xpel stealth PPF with Ceramic coating and nice quality tint. Amazing work, with no visible blemish with all the applications. With matte colors it can be tricky but I loved the way it turned out, not too matte and has a slight paint quality to the finish. Everyone I run into comments on the new look. Super helpful with the communication and everything is laid out beforehand so you know what you're getting into. Will def hit them up again for my next tesla project! read more

From start to finish, they took care of me and recommended what was best for my Model Y. The overall service and quality of work was top notch. I've had PPF done before by different shops in the past but the way they tuck the PPF around the edges of the doors to prevent lifting and removing pieces of the door or bumper to ensure perfect results were things that definitely left me happy and confident in the results. I had them do XPEL PPF on the whole front end and all four doors along with blacking out the emblems, adding a gloss black accent wrap on the front bumper, and a satin white wrap on the center console. Was it expensive? Yes, but was it worth it? Absolutely! Thank you to Mike and everyone at Bulletproof Auto Spa for taking care of my car, much appreciated! read more

Mike and his crew at Bulletproof Auto Spa did a phenomenal job of applying a protective clear coat along with ceramic coating for my 2020 ZL1. I worked with Mike at a previous location and what I like the most was his years of experience and in depth product knowledge. Mike ensure my vehicle was meticulously cared for and made sure that my paint maintain it,s showroom vibrancy for years to come. Whether your the proud owner of your dream car or someone who is an absolute stickler regarding paint protection performance then "Bulletproof Auto Spa" should be your vendor of choice. read more

Just got my GTI mk7.5 back from a little (well, really a lot..) cosmetic work and I can't be happier with the results! Full paint decontamination, stage 2 paint correction/polish, gyeon ceramic coat, front end PPF, black roof PPF (not vinyl). I cannot stress enough the importance of finding a quality shop if you are looking into going this route as it should be an investment well spent. Just like not trusting that tattoo artist on Craigslist that can give you "quality" work for a fraction of the price, you shouldn't trust the detailing shops that offer these services at a discount. If you are in the Los Angeles area definitely check out Bulletproof Auto Spa. They are SOLID and treat your car as if it is their own. Ive had a previous GTI go through the same process at another shop and the end results were no where near this. The work and detail that Sean, Tricia and Mike put in is top notch! read more

Outstanding service as usual when working with Mike. Went in for my annual maintenance for my Ceramic Pro Gold coating and while I was in I had them install an M Performance cf wing for my 340i. Super happy with how the car looks and the turn around was unbelievably quick. Don't hesitate coming here for your detailing/coating/PPF needs! read more

Got my car wrapped and they did an absolute phenomenal job. They work very swiftly, are very tedious, and pay extreme attention to detail. My vehicle looked brand new and I was left speechless by the final results. Will definitely come back to have more work done to my car in the future! read more

Having spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over the years on paint repair and other unfortunate body damage with my last vehicle, I wasn't taking any chances this time when I purchased my new Tesla Model 3 last September, which inevitably led me down the confusing world of paint protection film and ceramic coating applications. Fortunately, I didn't get too lost before meeting Mike Heinz, who cut through all the noise and patiently guided me through the ins and outs of what the ideal protection would look like. He didn't upsell or push treatments that were overkill, nor did he force me into making a decision on the spot. I took my time to research all the information he provided and he was very responsive to my follow-up questions over the next several months, answering everything in detail. When I made the decision to move forward, Mike and the team at Bulletproof Auto Spa/Unplugged Performance did an absolutely amazing job--from the paint correction to then applying the 9H paint protection film and ceramic coating. They even fixed some of the curb rash I had already sustained in such a short time. The shop was incredibly clean and organized and also just happens to be located on the SpaceX lot in Hawthorne. Everyone was extremely friendly, communicative, and the usual impatient, detached egomania vibe you might get at other shops that can cause a customer to feel belittled, taken advantage of, and uneasy going into the process wasn't there at all. These guys geek out on your vehicle as much as you do and treat it like it's their own. The work was done on schedule and my car literally glowed when I picked it up! I'm so happy I decided to go with Bulletproof/Unplugged Performance and would recommend the qualify of their work, their professionalism, and flexibility to anyone looking to give their vehicle the protection it deserves. These guys are top notch! Very pleased. Thanks again, Bulletproof Auto Spa! read more
