This company was hired by mikes quality Bodyworks and refinishing to remove and replace the rear window of our car to assist in body work and replace the windshield.i was called by mike to review the progress of the body work the back window was out at that time .As a former auto glass tec for both speedy auto glass and standard auto glass with over ten year experience long since retired I immediately noted the wiring grid to the drivers side of the window had been ripped of the glass damaging the glass.I immediately confronted mike as to why he damaged my back glass mike did not have a answer as the person who did this reported nothing .This in my experience is completely unprofessional.Later mike reported the the glass was damaged because the passages side wiring to the window had crumbled up from over heating and fallen apart .As a former tec I found this to be strange a I had put in a new package tray and did not recall any wiring falling apart.I expressed to mike this and this company outright refused to except any responsibility as they do not warranty wiring .I then had to find my own used rear window remove it may self and deliver it to mikes.At that time I asked for the old window back and discovered that the passages side wiring that this company reported as falling apart was I fact only a plug in pigtail wiring harness that connected to ground and easily unplugged from the back glass harness.I showed mike and his employee this in detail I also sent detailed email to the owner of this company with photos of this no apologies where given for this mistake and it was lucky that I removed this harness from the part car I found .As for the windshield this company installed this is my wife's car that I do not drive but when recently moving the car I noted a distortion in the windshield directly in front of the drivers vision in further investigation it is dust in the laminate witch is dangerous as it draw the drivers eye to this .As a former installer I can say this company's job before installing the windshield is to check the windshield for scratches and distortion in the laminate.This was not done at all or done very poorly I will replace this windshield my self as I have zero trust in this company I would highly recommend you do not take your classic antique or special interests car or truck here based on the poor workmanship I received here one hundred percent not recommended. read more
