She received a quote and sent me the phone # to schedule since she was busy at work. I reached out, sent photos, and awaited a response. The person I was texting asked if we were looking for reoccurring service or the one time weed removal when I replied requesting just one time service I didn't hear back. I texted again requesting an estimate, no response. Texted again the next day on Wednesday and they finally requested my information. I sent my info, received an email to sign an estimate agreement and after signing and sending it right back I received no response. I texted back that we would be going with a different service who was able to schedule us in. I'm usually really patient but the lack of communication is what bothered me. They were quick to reach back out after sending initial photos but after I opted for a one time service instead of reoccurring services is when I stopped hearing back so quickly. No shade at all if a business doesn't want to offer their services or prefers bigger projects but I would have appreciated better transparency and communication. I'm sure others have had more positive experiences but for me personally I wouldn't recommend this business. I believe in treating every customer with the same respect and willingness to communicate regardless of project size.

TLDR version: The job ended up requiring 2x the amount of…read moremoney that I was quoted at and took 4x as long - Then they stopped returning my calls and emails without finishing the job! Detailed version: I had a conversation with them to come out and completely fix my sprinkler system as summer started in May. I have a large yard and about 50 sprinklers. I knew the system in my front yard needed particular help. The only time I could schedule was while I was at work. The worker ended up replacing some sprinkler heads, finding a line that had grown into a tree and stopped there. He told my wife we'd need to remove the tree to fix that line; the backyard sprinklers are all fine but there needs to be more work done to the front yard sprinklers. He charged me the quoted amount and left. I had to call to complain, as my system was not fixed. It seemed like he told me what I already knew and left! I got rescheduled for a second visit one month later. The same guy came out again and I told him we don't want to take the tree out and that he should be able to divert the line around the tree. That took most of his visit. He charged me more, but gave me a discount of 3 hours of labor. We rescheduled a third time for another month out so he could fix the rest of the lines because he had another job that he had to get to. His third time out he fixed most of the lines in the front yard but had to rewire a some of the lines that were not syncing to my irrigation system. The rewiring changed the input on the timer and some are still currently out of sync. When he was done, the worker said there were also still some small things that he had to fix in order to complete the job. We had to reschedule a fourth time - another month out - as he had to leave to get to another job. The worker told me that he would charge me during the next visit. His fourth time out was meant to be the last time he needed to come. I made it clear that I wanted to check every line with him before he left. He fixed the remaining lines that needed work in the front yard, then we checked each line on my irrigation system as I requested. As it turned out, several lines in my backyard were showing an error code and not working, despite him promising me that every line was working. He told me that he would have to schedule another visit as he had to get to another job. He charged me a discounted rate and then left. I tried to reach out to the company through email and texted the worker's personal phone number that he gave me - to no avail. I didn't receive a response to my emails or texts. I wanted this job to be done at the quoted amount at the beginning of summer... but instead I had to (and still do) manually water the areas that are not working. This takes away time from me being with my wife, my 7 month old baby (currently - 3 month old in May), and my four year old. It ended up costing double the initial quote, quadruple the amount of time, and the job is not finished. I would NEVER call this company again.

The Positives * Communication & Speed: They were quick to respond, quick to get us on the schedule, and finished the installation very fast. * Pricing & Reputation: Their quote was fair and in line with other estimates I received. I ultimately chose them because I recognized the brand and had seen their work around the neighborhood. * Customer Support: When I reached out regarding issues after the job, they responded quickly and sent a different installer out to fix one of the issues. The Negatives * Damaged Materials: Many vinyl pieces arrived scratched up because they were transported loose in the back of the installer's truck, sliding around in dirt and debris. * Rough Site Cleanup: I had carefully cleared all the rocks away from the old fence so they could work easily and replace the rocks afterward. Because the crew rushed, they did a poor job spreading the rock back out, leaving obvious bare dirt patches despite there being plenty of rock. There were tons of vinyl shavings from the installation that are all over the yard. * Property Damage: Concrete was dripped onto my decorative walkway pavers, which I still haven't been able to remove. * Missed Instructions: I specifically asked them not to connect the new fence to my neighbor's existing fence, but they did it anyway. Follow-Up & Final Verdict To their credit, Alpine Fence sent a second technician who replaced the scratched rails, posts, and gate, and fixed a gate installation error. However, they completely ignored the concrete on my decorative pavers, the rock landscaping issue, and the improper connection to the neighbor's fence. They get the job done quickly and stand by their customer service to an extent, but the rushed workmanship and damage to surrounding property keep this at a 3-star review.
