We couldn't be happier with our new porch--what a transformation! Iron Castle Construction's skill…read moreand professionalism are as impressive as the outcome itself. Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

I honestly feel a bit bad leaving a 3-star review here because everyone I interacted with at Iron…read moreCastle Construction was genuinely kind, respectful, and responsible. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.

Full bathroom is FINALLY complete!! Thank you to the Quality First Remodeling and Repair team for…read moredoing the hard work and helping my vision come to life. Couldn't be happier. So happy with the quality and attention to detail the team provides and really partnering with me to figure out some of the challenges but executing flawlessly. They've completed renovated our bathroom, done many repair and handy man projects for us and changes put an entire electrical circuit to bring it up to date. Yea our house still had knob and tube wiring. They've added new chandeliers and taken down our very ugly and out of date bathroom to the studs to make it this show stopper. Get yourself a General Contractor you can trust and hire Max Miller and his team. Thanks for doing all the stuff these 2 old folks won't touch (electrical, plumbing and dirty demo). Couldn't ask for a better team. Looking forward to more partnerships on projects in the future. Our deck of Wolmanized wood was put up in 1989 and seems sound. The Final Coat Co. applied a…read morepaint-like light gray stain in 2019 that I recall them saying would last 20 or more years. It began flaking immediately. They touched it up 3 times, but it just kept on flaking. I gave up, but now we wanted to sell our house, and it looked awful (see photos). The Final Coat told me it was out of warranty and was not their problem. I offered to split the cost with them in some manner, as I realize it's been 5 years now. They told me they would only redo it for full price. I had Deck Rescue redo it, it cost $1800, and our deck now looks fine. If The Final Coat had told me it would cost $3600 to redo and they would split it with me, I would have paid them the $1800. I also think that after retouching 3 times in 2019 they should have checked back with me to see if it was alright. If you are considering using Final Coat, I would think twice about it.
