As mentioned, I am the type to obtain multiple quotes, so I expected that after he did the inspection, we would go over his findings and a few days later I would receive a quote. After he did the inspection, he showed me a video of something the other roofers didn't, which was nice as I like a thorough job, but then said he would be in touch with a quote. I received a phone call a few days later asking to discuss findings, but when I called back, I got an AI bot which was then followed up by a call back from a real person. I felt as Art said he who started in the roofing business and working for others and decided to do his own company, he knew what worked and what didnt. My research aligned with what he told me and he uses the highest grade products for the job as standard. The crew started when I needed and did a great job on the demo... cleaning really well afterwards. They covered my landscaping where needed and my pool just to make sure nothing fell in which I appreciated. They also put painters plastic in my garage since we work in there to cover things as well as our family room with the pitched ceiling. As you do get some light dust/debris coming thru since no attic space in these areas. The job went right on schedule and Art coordinated with Culver City building department for permit and approvals. It all passed smoothly. I made some special requests for adjustments to venting which Art happily did without any extra costs. He add more vents than I had originally and gave good advice on the process. My roof had a fair amount of angles and valleys and Art pointed out he could make them more effective at draining water properly. I chose to go with the visible valleys as I liked the idea of seeing them and all the things he got were pre painted and matched really well. Communication was very good with him. His job foreman spoke English which was important as things do come up as the work progresses but all handled really well. It all went very smoothly and you could tell the team are experts at roofing. I decided to replace my gutters as well and the price seemed reasonable for that too. They did a great job on it all and it looks fantastic and now I wait for the big super El Niño coming this winter with a lot more confidence that I will weather the storms. Art said he would come back quickly if any issues and I believe that would be true. A new roof is a huge amount of money and there are sooo many places to choose from. I chose them because they felt the most reliable, and Raz also offered to include some additional services I needed, such as gutter and downspout cleaning and re-sealing roof fixtures, which added value. The repair itself was deceptively difficult, since it required re-shingling a portion of the roof and re-hanging the gutter. It ended up taking two days instead of the expected one, but Raz was easy to contact and responsive to my concerns. I also needed one urgently because LA was due to very heavy rainfall (the most recent one that started right before Christmas and ended two days ago). I'm very particular whenever I search for a new vendor because I've met with literally hundreds of different contractors/vendors/trade specialists in my lifetime due to renovating multiple properties in different cities. My search strategy might be overkill for some but it pays off for me in the long run - Once a highly rated business has been identified, I cross reference the business using different platforms such as Yelp, Thumbtack, Google, Houzz and Angi. I then further drill down to see how long the business has been around, if they have any complaints with the BBB, and what the least satisfied comments look like. Anytime Roofing was one of a handful of companies I was interested in. I contacted them using Yelp's quote system and I called them as well. Aviv answered my call and told me he could have somebody inspect my roof as early as the next morning and told me he could start on repairs the same day if I agreed to his pricing. This was ideal since the rain was due to start the following afternoon. I also later noticed Aviv responded to me via the Yelp messaging system as well. At 7:30 am the next morning, Aviv's roofer came on time and inspected my concrete tiled roof. I was then contacted by Aviv and given a verbal estimate over the phone. After I agreed to the price, he immediately sent over a written estimate via email for me to review and sign. Half my payment was due before the work started and the other half would be due upon completion. There is a 4% credit card charge if you do not want to pay via cash/Zelle. I needed a minimum of 300 square feet of underlayment replaced and some new wood installed as some of my existing wood was damaged. This was also a rush job since heavy rain was going to start later that day. Aviv mentioned he felt more underlayment should be replaced as he saw extensive damage but told me this could be done later and there should be no leaks with this current repair. The work was completed in roughly 8 hours and there were no leaks to be found after 4 straight days of heavy rain. Aviv also followed up a day after the rain stopped to inquire how my roof held up to the storm which I felt was a nice touch. I highly recommend calling Aviv and Anytime Roofing for a quote whether it's an emergency repair or if you are collecting bids for larger underlayment projects. He may not be the absolute cheapest roofing business you can find but he responds promptly, his roofers are punctual, and the ease and quickness of the estimate process are things you don't typically find with other roofing companies.
