I found Handyman from Heaven via a referral service with my job and was so excited because I thought they would be able to help me with all the small issues I had throughout my home. The first visit went so well! I was able to get multiple things fixed and scheduled a larger job which was basically a bathroom Reno due to a leaking pipe. The work started off great and the team was really communicative. Then we ran into a small issue where I felt some work was improperly completed and wanted to work through it and that's where it all fell apart. The receptionist was extremely accusatory at first but did eventually call to apologize and I hoped things would be better. Once I talked to the owner he seemed really understanding and accommodating and even sent me a really thoughtful response as they were working though the issues with me so I had high hopes that we would fix the issue and continue on with the work, only they just stopped communicating with me completely. I would have fully understood if they came to a conclusion and explained to me why but they chose to do nothing and that was really disappointing. Now I have a half finished bathroom and construction debris that they left behind that I'm having to pay a new person to finish the work and clean up behind them. The worst part is I had already referred them to a friend of mine who needed some work done and had to go back and tell her, never mind because if you can't trust them with a minor inconvenience how can you trust them with a major job?! I will say if you just need some minor handyman work then go for it because it doesn't seem like my experience with them is their normal experience, but be leery and keep every record along the way.

Nearly TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS per window. I came across Kelemer Brothers in a Reddit thread. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. I contacted them and met with Gabriel Kelemer the same day. He quoted a price for 13 windows PLUS A NEW FRONT DOOR for 1/2 the Marvin quote. The positive reviews were entirely deserved. Kelemer's crew installed the windows and front door yesterday. They were terrific to work with, did excellent work (I'm a home handyman and picky as they come), and finished the job in a single day. Half the cost, installed in a day (after lead time to make the windows, of course), and excellent craftsmanship in both windows and installation.

What I Thought Would Be a Dream Turned Into a Nightmare…read more I hired Dream Tree Service based on their glowing 5-star reviews--unfortunately, my experience was anything but 5-star. They showed up with heavy equipment and failed to lay down protective plywood, leaving deep ruts--some 3 to 6 inches deep--all across my lawn. They also caused visible damage to my two-year-old driveway. After the job, Brian called, admitted fault, and promised to return and make things right. That promise went nowhere. I followed up five days later and left a voicemail. I then received texts from a different team member who didn't even know there was damage. After sending photos of the mess, they said they'd come out to fix it. They did--but their idea of a fix was tossing some hay and grass seed over the deep tire tracks. No leveling, no real repair. My yard remained a mess, the tire tracks untouched, and the driveway damage ignored. I expressed my frustration to the owner directly. Instead of acknowledging the extent of the damage or taking accountability, he defended his crew's work, refused to send landscapers back out, and told me he wished they never took the job. His only offer was to meet in person during business hours--something that would require me to miss work. I asked him to simply come look at the property himself. I invited him multiple times. He never came. I obtained three quotes to properly repair the lawn and driveway--ranging from $2,350 to $3,000. I offered to settle the matter for just $1,000 toward the cost of repairs. He ignored that too. So here I am: contracting the lowest bid to restore my property, writing this review to warn others, and preparing to take Dream Tree Service to small claims court. If you're considering Dream Tree Service, be prepared to risk poor workmanship, broken promises, and a total lack of accountability. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.
