DDC Family: When…read morewe joined the studio 6 years ago, I had no idea that competition dance was in my daughter's future. DDC has been a positive experience for Madison and myself. Madison has learned life skills such as teamwork, time management, and cooperation. But the biggest lesson is that great accomplishments come with practice, more practice, and persistence!! Madison had a huge smile every time she walked proudly into the studio to dance. She found a friendly welcoming place to dance and fond memories during the weekend competitions. Madison has grown to love the art of dance but I have, as her mother, developed a deeper sense of respect for dancers and the sacrifices that families make to support their children. DDC dancers and parents have amazed me every day! I applaud the instructors for their dedication, commitment, and patience that they have shown towards the children and especially towards Madison throughout the years! I know that any dancer who joins DDC's Showgroup will grow to be confident, graceful, poised, and skilled. She has a folder and project she completes each week and she truly does look forward to coding. I hope that she continues to explore the "STEM" or "STEAM" field. The children get tickets after each session they can use to reward themselves and they also get little certificates when they advance to the next level (belt color). My little one works with Sensei Salma who is super patient with the littles and very sweet. The staff at this location communicates well and are friendly. The education and so called Vocational program is subpar with subpar staff, literally. They will train you on physically contact, but it goes out of the window unless they expect you to do it. The staff is very abusive and they cover for one another if accused, then plotting putting you and the children in danger by setting up compromising positions. These are dangers people, I would not be surprised children haven't become more aggressive attending this "school". Any staff who are aware of this to include management and does nothing they are part of the problem, and are complicit in the abuse and mistreatment of these students. Unfortunately, I can't say that I am surprised by Management's care for the mighty dollar then these children. SMH...

We went to the First Night New Years Eve shoes by the School of Rock performance bands. Band members get lots of help setting up and getting going on songs--it's harder than it looks! Thanks again to the staff for making it work. During stay-at-Home time SoR has worked hard to give students different performance activities, Jacob had two open mic times. SoR also edited student instrumental and vocal performances of "Wayward Son" into one group performance. Finally Steve has taken many measures to keep the school safe on reopening. We're back now for solo and group drum lessons!

I am originally from South Korea and exchanged my Korean driver's license to VA one. So I didn't have driving experience in the states at all and haven't driven for more than 5 years since I got my license in Korea. I wanted to start driving here but I was so nervous and scared. I finally decided to take some driving lessons and contacted almost every single driving schools in Alexandria where I live. None of them answered their phone and replied my email except this 1 Safe Driving School. I went with 10 hours behind wheels lessons and I met my Instructor 5 times on weekend for 2 hours each. They offer pick-up and drop-off service with their practice-car and you will drive that car. I practiced with him from driving around in neighborhood area to how to take a highway including parking lesson. After I finished all the lessons, now I feel more comfortable, confident, and safe while I am driving and I am not scared anymore. So these days, I can drive by my self and I earned a freedom to go wherever I want! Little bit about the instructor whom I practiced with, he was very nice and punctual with our schedule. As I remember, he has more than 8 years experience as a driving school instructor and he knows all most every single road in this area. He can control break while you are practicing even at the passenger sit. I still remember and recall all the advice and lesson he gave me and they are very helpful. (I am still mumbling "look around...look around" when I reverse my car in a parking lot lol) I would recommend this school to my close friends or family. My time and money were worth it.
