Suffice to say that did not happen. We saw almost no change in scores, despite spending many thousands of dollars on tutoring. Instead of admitting that what they were doing was not working, when questioned about the lack of improvement in scores, I was told that it was due to factors outside their control, such as fatigue during the long test, which is not true. I will not be recommending this company to anyone. I would give them zero stars if possible.

I have been out of school for a handful of years but Jim (the owner and lead tutor) runs this place so well and got me up to speed again FAST. He hires very sharp tutors to assist with the volume of this popular tutoring location. All of his employees are extremely friendly, and understanding. Most of the customers are in grade school, but they can teach anything math related. They were even able to help me with some physics and chemistry too. Such a broad range of experts they have on staff. Not only that, but before I began, Jim wanted to ensure he could prepare himself and his team for my unique tutoring request (military) so he asked to borrow my study guides for a couple days before I began. As soon as I started on day 1, he had already lined up his best subject matter experts to work with me weekly. This helped me the most, the way they tailor instruction to the needs of each customer/student. Jim really got my money's worth this way! Administratively, the place is super clean and the cost is very good! I choose the unlimited package because I wanted to be able to get help as many times a week as I could handle while working full time. After a few weeks I felt solid with my math knowledge and transitioned over to physics and chemistry with the remaining time I had. This worked out great because this Mathnasium currently has an expert physics teacher on staff who made learning these tough subjects simple. The staff is constantly wiping down tables and sanitizing materials huge plus! If you have a question and raise your hand, a tutor is by your side within seconds. Also one of the biggest things Jim did to help me once he found out which math sections had me struggling the most was he provided me with Mathnasium lessons! They are print out work sheets you can only access if you're a customer and they make learning math so easy. I probably ran through dozens of these because they were so helpful and made remembering complex math steps so easy which is huge! Keep up the good work Mathnasium! If I ever need help again, I know exactly where to go now!

As a parent knowing my kids are happy is super important. I also need to know that they are safe. I really felt like the camp did a great job with this as well. The doors are secure, they adhere to a buddy system and I was ID'd during pickup when new teachers did not know me at the beginning of summer. My interactions with the staff (counselors and front staff) has all been professional. One time my youngest child had a sore belly. They called me and kept him in the office until I arrived. They were also very helpful with any other questions and concerns I had. We are not members of this church or school but due to such a great summer experience we attended a service and it truly felt like home. What a great place!

We've been very happy with Communikids Falls Church. Imagine! A preschool with immersion classes…read morewith three language options.The program is wonderful as are the teachers. All teachers are native speakers of the target language. There are many options to choose from as far as pickups and drop-off times, so it can work with your budget/ schedule. They will take children who are not potty trained yet and actually assist you in that process! Snack is provided by the school. Lunch is provided by the families, or there is an option to purchase a got lunch from a 3rd party who will deliver it. Around $5-6 depending on the options you've chosen. The summer program is also great! They go up to age 6 or 7 depending on the language. I would say the program is a bit more expensive than others in the area, but you are getting language exposure (and possibly potty training help) so I think it's fair. The school also has several accreditations that have minimums standards that must be adhered to and that provides structure that you might not see elsewhere. That costs money, and it's money well spent. The teachers wear gloves when handing out food, there are always dates on lunches Ave water bottles. It's a tighter organization than some. Additionally, the non refundable deposits are higher than other area schools, but again, the school has to secure native language speakers in all three languages for each class level and they need firm numbers. So read the fine print (it's there for you) and don't sign up if you plan on canceling if something you like better opens up. This is not the program to do that with. The learning is play based and my only wish is that it was a little *less* structured. However, I'm unusual in that I prefer a Waldorf type atmosphere, and that's not the usual vibe in this area were people are dreaming of Harvard while baby is still in utero . All in all we've been so happy with Communikids and I hope they start extending their summer program to older kids.

This is why I was so excited to have my now 5-year old, who is now in Kindergarten at our local Elementary school, go there. She was there for the past 2 years. Part of the reason she was excited to go there was that her Dad went there too. The whole staff, from the administrators, to the teachers have all been so wonderful to us and my child. She's learned a ton there, met lots of new friends and really enjoyed going there. The staff are welcoming and really do care about the children. I am a self-diagnosed 'helicopter' parent in some ways, and the fact that I feel totally comfortable in having my child go there means a lot to me. Highly Recommended! I can't wait to enroll my other little there next year as well.

Last summer we started our two children at the Tutoring Club. Our oldest child's 6th grade teacher…read moresuggested he get some summer help to skip a year of math and enroll in Honors 7 at LMS. With the help of the Tutoring club he was able to work on his math skills last summer. He was not eligible to start in Honors 7 because his SOL scores were 2 points away from where he needed to be. He completed 1 semester in regular math where he was getting straight A's and was bored so his teacher promoted him to Honors 7. He ended the year with a B+. He was able to bring homework to the club when he needed an extra explanation of the materials which helped him tremendously. My other son was enrolled for Reading comprehension due to the drop in his SOL scores from 4th to 5th grade by 100 points. His 5th grade teacher was not the best and he didn't learned much in 5th grade from her. He started 6th grade with a 2 in Reading Comprehension in the first quarter, raised it to a 3 in the 2nd quarter and for the 3&4th quarters got a 4. The tutoring club has taught him many strategies in how to read with comprehension and answer questions by the process of elimination. This summer my children are working on their writing skills which is another area that most kids need additional instruction on since teachers can't individually help all students. We have been more than happy with the Tutoring Club and the help our children have received from all the wonderful tutors they have on staff.

Obviously they don't care if they actually teach your kids anything or just taking money from you!!! Not to mention that we have troubles to refund our money as we prepaid at discounted rate.
