When notified about leaks he sent over his workers who all say nothing is wrong but all see the water damage on the inside. It has been a week and still nothing done to fix these issue. We had Allied Contracting install an Ella's Bubble walk-in tub, pocket doors on both our bathrooms,…read moreand attic access in our hallway. We could not be happier with the final result and we felt the cost of these task were quite reasonable. Ella's bubbles of New Jersey referred us to Allied Construction, saying they had worked with them before. John came out before we ordered the tub to scout the job. I ordered a tub without realizing that it was too large to fit through the door opening of the bathroom, and did not discover this until after it was delivered. Also, the drain and water supply on the tub were on the wrong side due to the location of the tub door and the toilet. John did not waver and said they would figure it out. Figure it out they did! They tore out the entire wall and vanity to get the very large tub in there. Carlos, the plumber who works for John, is a magician and did a beautiful job of rerouting the drainage and water supply and installing the tub with no room to speak of to work. I was really afraid at point that they would say this job was impossible! Carlos never gave up and in the end the installation was beautiful and the operation perfect! Since the bathroom wall was gone, John suggested we install a pocket door to replace the old 28 inch bathroom entry door that swung into the bathroom taking up valuable space. David and his brother Mr. E came in and installed the pocket door and re-did the electrical to move the light switch from the pocket door wall, wired up a new lighted medicine cabinet and did all the electrical and trim for the new tub. They did a magnificent job with all the electrical and trim. The bathroom is beautiful and looks new! We loved the pocket door and lighted medicine cabinet so much, we asked John to come back and do the same treatment to the master bathroom. We also wanted attic access added to our hallway, so that no one had to access through my wife's closet in the future. David and Mr. E came back along with David's son Randy and accomplished all these requests in 4 days! The prep work in our bedroom was really stepped up, with a lot of care as not to harm our bedroom furniture in any way! The results of the work were just as beautiful as the other job! The attic access is a pull down ladder in the hallway. David added a light and light switch up there and a large plywood platform for tools or storage. It turn out really cool! It was very unique to have a literal family of workers working on our house. They made us feel like part of their family while they were here! Their prep and clean up work was impeccable. John, the owner of Allied Construction is super laid back and very easy to work with hearing our plans and enhancing them further. We consider him to be a friend now and would not hesitate to have him and Allied do other projects for us in the future. We would highly recommend Allied Contracting for any project you have in mind!

I had some water damage in my kitchen from a water heater malfunction that required a full…read morerenovation. Floors, cabinets, counters - the whole lot. The entire process and fighting insurance was a nightmare but it was also incredibly difficult finding a contractor I trusted. I'm a single woman, first time property owner, and work in an office - I'm ignorant about all of these things and likely a prime target for dishonest businesses. I talked to over 10 contractors and they quoted me wildly different amounts (19k-55k) and often had completely different takes on what was possible within my budget. (I had only the amount that insurance paid as I bought the condo less than a year ago). An example is - one company would say "there's no way we can do ____, so we have to do this very expensive thing instead (that I cannot afford)" and another would say "we can get extremely close if you choose to cut corners but it won't be great". All in all no one really made me feel confident in their services. Everyone felt like they were trying to sell me something or convince me of something. This is where David and Barak are different. They were incredibly kind and from moment one wanted me to explain what I wanted. They listened and at no point said "we can't do that" they said "here's how we can make this happen for you". They seemed like they were genuinely invested in my project and making sure I got what I wanted even if we had to make changes. They also thought about things and would contact me with ideas they had they thought I would like and always kept it respectful of the fact that my budget was tight and I really couldn't add on any cost. Things such as "these are other updates we can make at the same time that we highly suggest if you can buy the materials" - like a new garbage disposal and different outlets, new lighting, and light dimmers. All VERY inexpensive upgrades that were easy for them to do/add on while they were doing other renovations. I am SO thankful for these suggestions. They were small, approachable, and made a HUGE difference. Not ONE of the other contracting companies mentioned ANY of this. They also immediately gave me a detailed quote that they put in my hands, had their contract ready for me to review - again in my hands, and then sat with me to go over every single piece to ensure I understood everything prior to signing. All other companies do some mix of: telling you that they'll give you a quote in a few days (and half the time they do not, you have to follow up), provide a general quote without any details (verbally), not provide the contract up front for review. I was pretty shocked at how shady other companies felt. Why can't I have reports and contracts sent to me? All in all I can't recommend them more! Did I have to change my plan? I sure did. And every time this came up David held fast to "make sure this is what you want". Changes did not mean compromise or sacrifice. They were both dedicated to ensuring that even if my first choice didn't go through that I was just as happy with my second choice. Example: I originally wanted different cabinets but they were out of stock and the time before they'd arrive was insanely long so we went with available stock and they painted them the custom color I picked out which I like much better than the original! My before photo is poorly but it shows some of my old cabinets and what was torn out due to damage. Second photo is what they did!
