I've had a very bad experience involving buying a KitchenAide refrigerator for $4600 and the 5 year warrantee. The unit doesn't cool and has been problematic for the last 2 years. At this point I'm unable to get service under warrantee. We're waiting over 30 days through Thanksgiving and Christmas (6 weeks). Their service provider says they don't know why we've had this no cooling problem for the last 2 years an we should ask for a refund. Long story short, The Attorney General DOJ is involved but Builders Source doesn't care. Today, the small Claims Civil Complaint goes in. I recommend shoppers stay clear of this outfit. We will get a refund but it's not right to have to go this route. read more

We ordered a GE dishwasher for delivery and to haul away the old appliance. The haul away and uninstall were free of charge with the only fee the installation and needed hardware. From the moment we contacted them over the phone to place the order, installation and post installation phone call to inquire about price match they went above and beyond. This is our first time shopping here and the customer service we experienced was top notch. I visited Builders Source Appliances yesterday looking for what I thought was called Cafe 30 series appliances. Tony, a sales man came to help me and seemed a bit put out when I he had to help me in inquiring about The Cafe 30 Series appliances. He said "What is that?" That sounds like a size of a range or something. I looked up the grouping of the Cafe kitchen suite with refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher and showed it to him. He said, "Yes we carry Cafe, but we can't get that specific color." So, I called it the wrong thing by referring to it as The Cafe 30 series, but Tony was in no way going to stretch himself even a little bit to inform me that it was just a brand of appliances called Cafe. No problem, I told him that there was limited availability and just thought I'd check with his company. I ask a few more questions about the Cafe appliances that had availability through Builders Source Appliances. As I proceed to ask further information, Tony was no more interested in showing what was available than what was not. Tony was the most reluctant and irritated salesperson I have ever met. I left with a sense that Tony would rather no one come to bother him about appliances and selling any was a burden he was not up to the day I visited. read more

We purchased a new Whirlpool over the stove microwave. The installers called 30 minutes prior to arriving, arrived on time, removed the old unit, checked the existing venting and electrical and installed the new unit. In less than an hour they were finished, cleaned up the area, and took the old microwave. It was like they were never there (except for a new microwave ). A few months later the new microwave door had a manufacturing defect and needed to be replaced under warranty. Builders Source came out a day after I called, inspected the unit, ordered a new door and a week and a half later they returned, and replaced the door in less than 15 minutes. Fantastic service department! and very customer oriented! No nonsense service and they handled everything, including all the paperwork. read more

We went to Builders Source to shop for a new microwave/oven combo. First of all their showroom was the best we'd encountered during our shopping adventure. Logan Garcia came over to help us. (Absolutely no pressure). He determined our needs and came up with several units that might work. We finally settled one one model and Logan arranged for delivery. Delivery and installation went well (other than having to have TLC come out to relocate the 220v outlet. They did a super job BTW) Turns out that the unit was DOA with a bad circuit board. Called Logan and he arranged for a service crew to come out the next day. Unfortunately, the service crew wasn't able to repair the oven immediately. They needed to order a new board which would take two days to two weeks to arrive. Called Logan again and he said that he would have his installation team come out with a new new replacement unit. The new new unit was delivered and installed the following Monday. Thank you Logan! Oh yes, the first installation team, the repair team and the new new unit installation team all arrived on time and were extremely courteous and professional. My thanks to all of you. Builders Source was the best and they can't be faulted for a factory defective unit. The way it was handled by Logan and the installation/service guys was exceptional. We purchased all new appliances with Builders Source for our new home. Joe was an excellent sales representative, who listened to our needs and fit us accordingly with appliances. He was courteous and extremely helpful. When we had an issue with the refrigerator, Joe and the service team at Builders Source went above and beyond. They were very supportive and responsive. Joe had our refrigerator replaced without question in case it was the refrigerator. It ended up being a circuit breaker not able to handle the defrost cycle in the middle of the night. We built a new custom home and purchased our kitchen appliances through Logan at Builders Source. Logan was very helpful and worked with us on our purchases. Two items were a 60" BlueStar stove and Zephr vent hood. Logan directed me to the Zephr vent hood, I was looking at the BlueStar hood. Builders delivered and installed everything and after we moved in we noticed that things didn't seem to be working as they should but with new we weren't sure if that was the case. I finally called to have someone come take a look at it and Dalton Services (owned by Builders Source as well as Baillio's) came out. Both Techs were very nice and checked all issues with the stove. The original install by Builders was never checked, it was supposed to be, and the oven was running rich. Builders failed to install and check appliance causing excessive gas smells in our kitchen. The Vent hood is a different story. Zephr has to approve and issue a repair order to get any service. When the techs looked at it for me to tell me what they thought might be the issue it was also installed wrong, by Builders Source, and does not draw any air out at all. Builders installed unit wrong and now I have to call Zephr to get someone to come look at this. Lisa Chambers (I believe this is her last name) at Dalton has never returned my calls to resolve this matter. When I first called Logan at Builders he again was very helpful and sent an email to Dalton about my issues. Two weeks later I had to call and follow up as no one had ever called me back. Lisa said she was going to check on the Zephr issue and get back to me. She never has again requiring me to call back with no response again. Not that it would go any better but I would recommend people try Ferguson for their appliances. I'm off to try and call Lisa again. Next step is a visit to speak with a manger and see if they will fix my exhaust vent. read more

This review simply reflects the customer service I received following a purchase I made at a different place, Appliance Liquidators. I ordered both a refrigerator and clothes dryer for delivery ($15) and the haul away of my old appliances ($10). The first bonus was the phone call the morning of the delivery, Rob called at 8am to say he would deliver between 11am - noon. This was rather critical, because my old refrigerator was still in the kitchen, loaded with frozen and fresh food. Hence, I could unload just before 11am, get the new fridge inside and hooked up, and get the food back in the (cooling) new unit. I could also identify a bunch of stuff that I had no idea was living in my freezer, and wonder how it got there as I threw it away. But that's irrelevant. The second bonus: they went above and beyond. Unfortunately for me, I live in an 80 year-old house with a pretty smallish front door. Rob told me that for a fee ($30) they would unbox the unit and squeeze it through the door -- hopefully. I said Go for it. They literally had 1/4'' of room getting that puppy inside. They also installed the feet to the fridge, which usually isn't included. And at the end of the day, when I tried to pay with a credit card, Rob told me not to worry about it -- but could I call his boss and let her know he's appreciated? I did. And I'm dropping this review. Rob, Brandon and Chris were great to work with. I trust this company. read more

Superior service. I have shopped and referred multiple people to builders source including my most loved family. This is why, I was shopping for a total redo on appliances for my house many years ago. I went to no less then 6 different places that could have supplied me with what I needed. One of those was Builders Source. After leaving with a head ache from all the others I went back to Builders Source and asked for the same sales lady that I had spoke to before she remembered my name and my mom's name (who was helping me at that time). She also remembered my budget and what I wanted/needed. That was a refreshing experience, not trying to push high priced items or trying to get rid of over stock. The result I do not go anywhere else when I need any appliances nor does my mom or any one else I know that needs appliances. With excellent service like this I do something I do not do very often. I personally drive people there my self. 5 stars are not enough stars for Builders Source. Ask for Paula or Tiffany they are the best!!! read more

I ordered a kitchen suite March, 2021 from salesman, Justin, and was told they would be available early June. All but the refrigerator were shipped in June or July, but delivery wasn't offered. In August, I was told they had no expected shipping date on the refrigerator. The other three appliances were delivered only to discover the dishwasher and range were heavily damaged. The microwave was installed using a large spade drill bit which ruined the bottom of the cabinet. Bottom line, I waited 4 1/2 months for a microwave installation that resulted in damaged cabinets. I was able to order and have delivered all other appliances within 10 days from local box store. This company can't deliver on their sale, communicate, or properly install product. read more

Do not buy anything from Builder's Source or Appliance Liquidators. There is an active compliant filed with the NM Attorney Generals office because they knowingly sell appliances that do not work. (Just like the review by Morgan P.) On top of poor quality appliances, there are numerous complaints of improper installation by the service department. One of which included breaking a water line when installing a refrigerator and flooding a kitchen. DO NOT buy from this business! read more

They do not return phone calls or follow up. They do not listen to when the customer can meet the delivery or service people. When they decide it is convenient for them for delivery or service they just show up. They've shown up at my house on days and times that I have emphasized & specifically told them I could not meet them.They only show up quickly if it suits them. If the customer needs quick help, well, it's always several days, sometimes 2 weeks. I have been continually lied too. They are a continual source of "BS." Bought a new Speed Queen appliance. Speed Queen says BSA not approved service people & if they work on it the warranty is voided. I'm a seasoned business person.I moved here from out of state. I really have no logical reason for how they are in business. Maybe they're going out of business & are keeping it quiet. Wouldn't surprise me. read more

Builders Source replaced our washing machine. They arrived two minutes before the scheduled time and removed the old machine and installed the new one in about 30 minutes. The installers were courteous and efficient. Outstanding. They communicated through the day so we weren't stranding waiting on them. Best inventory and service in town. They stand behind their work. My husband and I purchased a $7000 Kitchenaid Range from BuilderSource, which was installed on 5/27. 5 days later, the range started to make an extremely loud buzzing noise when the cooling fan turned on- loud enough to be heard from across the house. Two of their service techs came out and told us it was a common problem with that range and that Builder's Source would completely replace it within 30 days. When we called and asked for a replacement, their Sales Manager Joe was more concerned about disciplining the tech that promised us that policy than he was about our malfunctioning range. Needless to say, he is refusing to replace our malfunctioning stove. He has shoved us off on the manufacturer and offered no help whatsoever. So now we are dealing with a repairman from Kitchenaid who has repeatedly ordered the wrong part. It sickens me to think that we spent $7000 on something that needs immediate work, and Builder's Source doesn't care and doesn't stand by their products at all. I should have just bought this range from a big box store with a more reliable return policy, but I wanted to support a local business. Big Mistake. Don't do business with them. read more

Service counts and Builders Source offers nothing after appliances break down. We have bought 4 appliances from them in the last few years. When our expensive stove broke down right after the warranty was over, they refused to come out and fix it for over 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS! I guess we are supposed to cook only on the grill or eat out. Of course when we have bought appliances there, we have been assured of great service/technical support if anything goes wrong. Going to have to re-evaluate whether we go back to them or not. Builder's source was great. Our salesman was Tony. He was great and professional. We were purchasing a new washer/dryer. He had all the information on washer's/dryers including which the best models were and their relative ratings in consumer reports. He was able to find us a matching pair in our desired price range with the features we wanted. The purchasing process was a breeze. Installation was great. The installers told me 2 hours before when they would be there. They were able to troubleshoot a very narrow closet to install and had everything done within an hour. The people at Builders Source are very nice. But they charge high prices and give lackadaisical service. It's an aggravating place to do business. Arranging for their "technicians" to come out and fix something takes forever -- weeks can go by before small repairs get resolved. There always seems to be some kind of a snag. I've had this happen repeatedly. And it all makes me wonder why I don't just go to Lowe's and save a bunch of money. A few minutes ago, when I was on hold with Builders Source, they were playing a recorded message about how they give "the great service you would expect from a local business!" It isn't true. And, I wonder if they are trying to pass off seconds because out of 25K of appliances, at least 50% arrived damaged or not working. Unfortunately, their customer service is so bad that it's now two weeks later and nothing has been fixed or addressed. A lot of hot air from senior management on down. And, still waiting for one appliance over two months after it was ordered and over two weeks from when they delivered the rest of the appliances. In addition they tried to switch my appliance color because it was in their inventory, by saying it was 200/ more per machine but they would give it to me for the same price, when in fact the manufacturers website said they were the same price.
