What I can say, is that from the beginning, he seemed not only very knowledgeable, but dedicated and very enthusiastic about his work. The contract that was developed and I signed was thorough, and offered main level remodeled trim, paint, doors and walls that I decided to add in addition to the main work of remodeling the kitchen, putting in hardwood floors, and redoing our stairs so they were hardwood as well. The project once it began took two months. It would have been shorter but for the fact it was over the Christmas and New Year holiday. What I want to say more than anything else is how very pleased I am with my new house. It is beautiful. The kitchen has new granite countertops, cabinets, and backsplash that are still a delight to behold. But the trim work and new doors throughout the main level are truly stunning. It was given all enamel painting and is beautiful. Mr. Gula also agreed to add a replacement of our front door for a very reasonable price. And finally, Mr. Gula returned several times to touch up items that were left undone, or needed touching up. I am so grateful and pleased with his work, and highly recommend him.

Jim is thorough and extremely detail oriented, which is exactly what you need in a general contractor. Jim is demanding of his subcontractors and responsive and fair to his clients. I hired them to remove and replace baseboards and door trim through Home Depot's Pro service. They double-booked the day my project was supposed to start and instead of rescheduling (which I offered), they sent the owner's brother-in-law - who doesn't even work for the company - into my home. He caused damage, and the work was sloppy and incomplete. The workmanship was terrible: - Boards weren't nailed securely - Large gaps between baseboards and walls - No caulking at seams - Only some nail holes filled - Some corners are mitered, others aren't - they're just boards stuck together for an unfinished, inconsistent look - They skipped spray painting the boards (as outlined in the contract), left several unpainted, and only painted the front face of others. After several text messages with Adam around my disappointment with the incomplete and sloppy work, they did offer to come back and fix things (contract has a workmanship guarantee) - but at that point, NO THANK YOU. The trust was gone, and I wouldn't feel comfortable letting them back in my home. I will likely have to rip half of it out and hire someone else to redo it - leaving me out a significant amount of money, and they don't care. Adam takes an 'Adam first' approach vs. a customer first approach as advertised. The finished product looks like a rushed DIY job I could've done myself. Unprofessional from start to finish.

We were in no real hurry but they went ahead and scheduled when the person was by himself and did not speak English. That language thing is not the issue...it is that they sent him alone knowing this. The fixes were made to some of the other work as it was done right the first time and this team made it seem like we should be happy they gave us something for free for it..some bracket for the gutter. There were times when -and I do understand family things that come up-that communication and follow up were awful. Lucky for us my husband works from home and can flex his schedule. We chose this team because they presented the scope of work so much better than anyone else and not based on the cost of the service alone. Too bad you didn't live up to that.

Nothing but the facts and no opinion!…read more Scheduled job to start work 3 months after first meeting. Roofing, siding, gutters and additional building. We were told the roofers would use an elevated collection bin for the roofing to avoid damaging the landscaping and surrounding area. Didn't happen. Roofing was completed, driveway and landscaping were damaged. Asked about the schedule for siding, gutters and additional building. No answer. Month later part of the side was done, the contractor loaded up the remaining new box of siding and left. Notified Prominent immediately what was happening but nothing was done. Hired a lawyer who sent a letter to Prominent but neither him or I received a response. My attorney said for me to "keep track of every call/text/email". Two months later the remaining wall was sided but not without damaging our water feature in the landscape. The gutters were to be completed just a couple days after the siding but didn't happen for another two months. We had seamless gutters and the replacement gutters were apparently seamless but used prefabricated corners which created seams. Not what we had. Took another month before addressing the additional building. Well over 50 text/emails and over 40 calls in order to get the job done. Lots of no answers, misinformation, and extreme frustration.
