This was a time when customer service meant something. I began using this Miami Gardens location post-COVID, and there was a phenomenal team in-place. Today Enterprise, and more specifically the "manager" Dimetri Byron is the definition of what's wrong with customer service in Miami. What's worse, the "manager" knows they can behave as poorly as possible because there is no integration, no system of checks and balances. "Platinum" status means absolutely nothing. Customer Service is feckless. The "Area Managers" must not exist because I'm still waiting on a communication from Jason Lordeus since March 2026. When I agree to get a rental with Hertz I was expecting great service. I drop my car off at the auto body shop on July 11th and when I contact Hertz there was no answer and no one to pick me up. That was a BIG disappointment, so I was able to get a ride over there and that's when Terrence explain that he was the only worker on shift and he apologize about the situation and immediately get me into a vehicle. He did not waste time, he was also going to call me and inform of the low staff and call issues. When it was time to pick up my car I called prior to make sure someone was going to take me to the auto shop. At 8:05am Terrence came and already had a driver ready for me. He was so professional, nice and friendly. He kept humble and was an amazing Black Man. I had a bad experience turned into an exceptional experience and because of Terrence D he made that happen. I wanted a vehicle that was slightly larger than the absolutely unsafe Mitsubishi Mirage that should be illegal to even give as a rental vehicle. I got a Ford escape and was told by 2 workers that it would only be $8.00 extra in total for this vehicle. I was also told that the deposit would be $50 and returned to me when I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas. Instead of being charged the $58.00 plus 7% Florida tax, I was charged double of $100.41, which I did not authorize or agree to. They also did not give me back my $50 deposit and instead gave me $37 even though they gave me a dirty vehicle and I filled up the tank completely before returning their vehicle. - Charges are being disputed and please believe I will be contacting the company very soon. If they do not fix the issue, I will have no other choice than to dispute ALL charges made by Enterprise.
