Stephen (Inspection & Sales) - Stephen arrived exactly at the scheduled time and was friendly from the moment he walked in. He inspected my attic, measured the square footage, and walked me through all available insulation options. No upselling...just available options. Based on our conversation about my high winter heating bills, he also suggested that my outer walls likely needed insulation. Before giving me any pricing, he made sure I understood that Atticare would secure the best possible PSE&G rebate. They ultimately obtained a sizable rebate (free money!) and a 0% loan for 72 months billed as part of my monthly utilities bill, which allowed me to insulate all three floors of outer walls in addition to the attic. Nick & Crew (Attic Insulation) - Nick and his team also arrived right on time. He explained the scope of work clearly and determined the most efficient way to complete it. His crew worked quickly and had the entire attic insulated in under a day. Victor & Crew (Outer Wall Insulation) - Like Stephen and Nick, Victor and his team were punctual and professional. Because my home's exterior is stucco, he explained the indoor insulation process in detail. His team moved furniture away from the outer walls, covered everything with plastic sheeting, and got to work. I will note that dust mitigation could be improved for walls and furnishings -- not a dealbreaker, but tightening that up would elevate the experience even further. The outer wall insulation work took a bit longer than expected due to the number of holes that needed to be drilled, patched, and painted, but the team handled it diligently. Despite this, I woke up to a pending charge on my card even after clearly instructing them to stop all services and billing immediately. The actual pest control service has been terrible. Spraying was minimal, the roach issue never improved, and during the last visit the technician admitted he didn't even have mouse traps because he "ran out." That means the service was incomplete and ineffective. Ignored cancellation requests + continued billing + poor service = completely unacceptable. I have retained all written communication and call records and will continue escalating this through my financial institution, BBB, and consumer protection authorities until this is formally resolved and refunded. This experience has been exhausting and unacceptable. Proceed with caution.

I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.
