We had an unpleasant experience a week ago when a large colony of ants blazed a trail from our side door, through our den, and into the kitchen to feast on our cats' food dishes. We realized that we needed help. We requested quotes from several exterminators. We had a horrible stench in our house. I knew it was a dead rodent in the attic somewhere near the dining room. I used everything I could to get rid of the smell. Sprays, and air purifier but nothing worked. It went on like this for over a week. A friend suggested I call an exterminator. Bug Baron came out that same day, went up into the attic, determined it was in a wall and unreachable, set traps, located the entry point (it was obvious from the feces), sealed off the entry point. We detected a mud tube coming out of a light socket in the living room behind a chair & cabinet. I contacted Bug Baron and included a photo and within an hour I had information that it was subterranean termites. I was only in town until the following day helping my mom take care of things since my dad passed away. Simon was able to come out that evening to do an inspection since he knew I was on limited time which was amazing. He was on time, thorough, and clear about what he would do to solve the problem. He was kind in listening to our situation, which my dad would typically take care of, and agreed that I could be the contact from San Diego. Since he said he would like to make sure we covered the back wall of the garage, but we had a lot that would need to be cleared out that was my dad's to get to the space, he said he would be willing to come back and do that section if we could get it cleared within a year. When my husband and I first purchased our home, we noticed there were some uninvited guests--roaches in the laundry room. Shortly after, we noticed they were in other places of our home.
