Arrived around 7:30 for dinner before a movie. Most of the restaurant was closed off and we were directed to sit in the bar area, which was ok for us. Note that almost all of the seating in this area is stool height, so not suitable for some older people, children, or those with mobility issues. Wings were good... but... ok one drink was ok but the other, The bartender didn't know how to make a skinny margarita.... We tried to drink it but it was like pure sugar syrup. When someone says skinny margarita it should not have sugary anything in it. Many people that order skinny margaritas cant have sugar. I guess training needs to occur on this, if the manager would be willing to do so. If the bartender doesn't have the ingredients, it is ok to say, " Unfortunately we are unable to make that particular drink at this time." This is at the edge of the mall in Groton, so there is plenty of parking spots outside the mall. Inside, it is HUGE, and there are plenty of TVs to choose from to watch sports games. The waitress was very sweet. My friend and I went here on a Tuesday, which they have a BOGO offer for traditional wings. So we got two 15-wing deal and asked to split into 3 flavors with 10 wings each. We got one hotter on the scale (Thai Curry), one medium on the scale (Buffalo), and one mild on the scale (Garlic Parmesan). It was a perfect balance. We didn't want to wait the hour and half for a table so we chose to sit in the bar area. There's no sign to tell you to wait. Finally the hostess came and sat us. It took a while for a server to acknowledge us. But once she took our orders she came back many times to check on us and refill drinks. Very good service. We took advantage of the Tuesday wings deal which is buy one get one 50% off. Wings came out instantly. After ordering , hubby and son went to wash their hands and the wings came out when they got back to the table. The sandwich on the other hand took about 15 minutes. Normally I would have liked if all the food came out at once. But the good thing is that wings don't need to be piping hot. Especially if you have a really hot sauce on them. Hubby got the (10 piece) mango habanero. It's nice and spicy. The spice is mostly on the tongue. I got the (10 piece) Thai curry. It was so delicious. The heat hits you in the the back of the throat. My family is from Trinidad and we eat curry chicken wings all of the time and this brought me back to my childhood. I didn't think it was as Thai tasting as it was West Indian tasting. We also got potato wedges. Those were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Son's saucy chicken sandwich was covered in the jalapeño sauce. A bit too spicy for him (and he's a true heat seeker) so he ate half and saved half for right before bed. The fries were nice and crisp but really salty. This was our first visit here and at the end- one of the workers came out screaming-CAN I HAVE EVERYONES ATTENTION!!!!!!!! She was screaming at the top of her lungs to wish someone a happy birthday which everyone in the restaurant joined in. We all thought it was hilarious. And then my son told me what he initially thought it was. I'm shocked for this being rated two stars on Yelp. Me and some buddies of mine were up there for dinner a couple times, as well as me and my family being up at their Burlington location in Vermont. When I first tried it, back when the UConn Huskies would score 80 points for free wings, their Boneless BBQ Wings were my personal favorite and still are to this day. First time with my buddy going to the Waterford location, our waitress had beautiful eyeshadow and was super friendly. We ordered chips and guac and 20 wings, half Garlic Parm, half Honey BBQ with Bleu Cheese. Everything delicious, the drinks were really nice as well. I believe I had a strawberry lemonade with Hennessy, and my friend had a Pepsi. Not bad for under $50. Second time I decided to try their "Mountain Dew: Legend," which is a blackberry citrus flavored Dew exclusive to only them. The everything pretzel knots were the bomb! As well as the bird dawgs, specifically the loaded and BBQ ones. Now the THIRD time I was up there, my mother and I discovered their fairly new "Legendary Long Island," a long island iced tea, but with the MTN Dew Legend instead of Cola. Their bar pizzas made me realize how HUGE they were for an appetizer, but still delicious. Now the most recent time I was up there, me and two of my buddies decided to split some wings as well as get some mozzarella sticks, everything pretzel knots, and the bird dawgs. The food is always good up there, hence the service being somewhat slow in the kitchen. Still giving this 5 stars nonetheless, though. Definitely would come to B-Dubs again. read more

We went to see the fight this past Saturday and our server named logan was a welcome addition to Buffalo Wild Wings. He is funny and charismatic and took care of me during the fight. He was meant to be a server with his great people skills. Definitely recommend him as a server. Even with a dying mall Buffalo Wild Wings is still a gem. He joked a lot with Tiana around our tables and they have great work chemistry together. With those two together the atmosphere is perfect. While I have to say, the food at this restaurant is delicious, the service leaves much to be desired. I have never gone there, where the waiter or waitress had a smile. In fact, they all appear to be miserable. I ordered takeout one night and received the wrong order, and it was a very expensive order as their prices are quite high And called to rectify the situation and received an attitude and basically was told there is nothing they can do about it so I was out about $60. I felt completely ripped off and I didn't even know it was legal for a restaurant to do that. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is pretty empty and our server is named Mylinda. I ordered the boneless snack with spicy garlic and my boyfriend got the boneless small with spicy garlic and Blazin'. The spicy garlic tasted like it was buffalo sauce with a hint of garlic powder. It was really hard to tell the garlic flavor. The chicken also seemed like it was microwaved. The blazin' sauce was too spicy for me, but my boyfriend said it was pretty good. I got the fries with a Chipotle BBQ dry rub. Very delicious. Fries are just average but the dry rub gives you an amazing flavor. Nothing was dreadful but nothing was good either. Mainly everything was cold. Everything is served on metal trays instead of plates. So, of course everything gets cold in 2 minutes, if it was ever hot. My son said they looked like rolling trays and I'd bet they get used that way. The nachos aren't even heated up. I sent them back asking for them to be heated and they came back cold. They just take chips, add lukewarm queso, throw on some cold veggies and serve it like that. Also, the electronic bill differed from the paper bill and showed charges for a lot of extras we didn't get, like 60¢ for ranch dressing or sour cream. All the sauces came with the meal, so those weren't valid charges. The waitress was very nice but seemed inexperienced. I went there for garlic Parm Wing's and I forgot that I don't like there sauce for the garlic wings but I still ate them because they don't give you enough sauce anyways unless you ask for extra in my opinion. But I got a side of Mac and cheese and it was awesome I also forgot I don't like there Caesar dressing for salads. When you get the lunch deal, they give you a free side with it & I picked salad & the salad was huuuge! Great deal! With all due respect, Buffalo Wild Wings delivered POOR service; which includes their mannerisms and attitude. A group of mine walked in and asked for ten pf us to be seated in which they willingly complied. They sat us down and at first provided a good impression. This was ny first time so I did not have much expectations. My group and I were greeted and asked what we would like to drink. After 30 minutes our drinks arrived and we all began to wait an additional 30 minutes. I had to get out of my seat and call out a waiter to let them know we hadn't been waited on for our food. A waiter then came after I personally requested service. An additional 45 minutes passed as we waited for our food and no one refilled our drinks, not even once, the entire time we waited. Not to mention, the place was practically empty so why would they continue to ignore my table. The food was NOT worth the wait. Beers were cold and yummy, and wings were as tasty as we expected. The home run for us was our sweet waiter - Armani! Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of restaurant chains. That said this place, at least the one in Waterford has fabulous wings. Big, juicy and with a hot sauce that hits the mark. I haven't had wings this good since I had them at the Dinosaur Cafe in Syracuse. The four stars are a reflection of the wings . For me, the atmosphere sucks. I'd call it noisy mostly empty sports bar with most of the noise coming from the speakers. Service was,pleasant and professional. Dave(?) my server of the day was good at up selling but a little inattentive to things like more beverages or clearing the table and the check. Speaking of more beverages... the wine pours are pretty stingy. Beer seems to be the big deal here. I've been going to bufflo wild wings for awhile. I do like their food a lot who ever is cooking is pretty good but I went last night around 6pm january 15th of 2020 and had a great server named Andre he was the most attentive, funny, and just great customer service that we stayed longer then we planned too. But our night did hit a rough patch, we order two Moscow mules and they were so bad. When I tell you both tasted like flat club soda I'm not lying. We unfortunately had to send them back and again our server was very understanding. They remade them and again horrible, we figured okay fine let's do a long island well that was a bad choice it was so sour it didnt taste at all like a long island. Again we had to send it back just stuck to be beer. The worst part is that instead of the bartender being understand she proceeded to talk about it. And make it obvious she was upset that we sent our drinks back making us feel unwelcomed. She then proceeds to keep talking about. (I know you might wonder how we know but one of the people at the bar we knew hearing everything mind you it was obvious). She did talk to her manager about it but not once were we approached by them to apologize for us having to return 5 drinks. This ist the first time a bartender hasnt been good. When we have asked before about how our beer was poured wrong (another night) we were told yeah that's him hes lazy. What kind of answer is that. The service at this location is absolutely the worst. The staff is completely inattentive. A couple friends and I went to this location for dinner and were seated almost immediately. We were not even acknowledged by any BWW staff until approximately 20 minutes later when drinks and food were ordered. It was 30 mins later when food arrived at the table, and a significant amount of the order was incorrect. When the waitress was informed of the issues she proceeded to give excuses of how the kitchen was backed up when she clearly forgot to put in the order correctly for the second time and the third time. There were more than enough servers in the dining room for the amount of patrons there. No tables should have been ignored as much as we experienced and witnessed. Waitress was unaware drink refills were a thing, and seemed more interested in clearing and cleaning a larger parties table for an hour. ToGo boxes and checks were brought to the table before the entire meal arrived. Then it took another 30 mins to even try to pay for our meals. Eventually we were able to get a manager to our table (thanks to Andre... more on him later), to inform him of how displeased we were with our service. He did comp a few things for the table to rectify the situation. Food was good, service was terrible, management was severely disengaged. Now back to Andre... I will only ever return to this location if Andre is working. He was the only employee that had a pulse on his tables and the only reason I'm giving this post a second star. Had to ask for napkins, side plates, water, silverware, ect. My advice would be to stay away! Eh. This place has gone down year after year. I guess they switched owners last year or the year prior, and boy it shows. The staff isn't as friendly anymore, or knowledgeable for that matter. It's never a good start when you ask for something and they server says they don't have that, buts on the menu and I can see bottles of it in the cooler behind the bar. The food hasn't changed much though. Still pretty good for a chain restaurant. What more can you ask for for football? Beer and wings! Just wish I wouldn't have to constantly ask for new silverware every time o go in because it's dirty. Also the server we had was clearly new as he really screwed up our order. We ordered an app, and he never brought it out. We brought it to his attention and he said no worries I'll get you dessert on the house. Well that never showed up. I've frequented a lot of Buffalo Wild Wings before and this was my least favorite. We were seated promptly and unfortunately that was as quick as they were. They took around 10 minutes to get our drink order and another 5 for our actual order. Then it took them 45 minutes for half of the tables order to come out, then the final wings didn't come out until about 25 minutes after. I ordered the fried chicken tenders with fries. My tenders were burnt, every bite had that "burn" taste and fries were soggy. We figured since it was a Saturday night that service would've been better since they'd want us to leave as fast as possible to open up more tables, but we've been here for more than 2 hours with no end in sight. This hasn't been our greatest experience to say the least. The only bright side was the free desserts, but even that took them long to take out. Though it is good to note that this is the 2nd time I have been to this location and the first experience was by far better than this one so perhaps this was an off night. read more

Okay so... for some reason, we went back. We were just really craving it. We have no WiFi currently and my boyfriend wanted to watch a basketball game. We went on a busy Thursday night. I didn't get my server's name, but he was fantastic. So attentive. We were greeted within two minutes of sitting. The game we wanted to watch wasn't on the TVs, so my boyfriend started streaming it on his phone. Within two minutes, the GM came over with our drinks and noticed his phone. Went here to watch the game about two weeks ago. Got there maybe 15 mins before it started and the place was PACKED. I expected this but when asked how long the wait would be we were told 15 minutes which was no big deal. Twenty five minutes later I checked on the status of a table and there was still four other people in front of us. I understand things can not always be predicted completely accurately but I don't like having my time wasted when it is obvious we wouldn't have been seated for what I think would have been closer to an hour. Now, I am not a huge fan of the food there to begin with but a friend had never tried it so we took the trip for him. Needless to say we had to walk out and I am sure that will keep him from ever trying the place out. The prices were a little high - but if the food was good (like Hooters) I would be OK with that. It wasn't. Profoundly mediocre. Wings were tiny and tasted like they were from frozen (I do better at home with frozen wings from Sam's Club.). Boneless wings were so small as to be better called Popcorn Chicken. Again, from frozen. Wedge fries were tasty enough, but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly if not exceptional or speedy. Of little interest to me - but maybe more so to some - they look to be a decent sports bar; so if you want to drink a bunch of Bud and watch the game, this might be a good venue. read more
