She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable.

A great place to get a good sandwich right across from the beach…read more Firehouse Subs on Eau Gallie Blvd near the Walmart is a fantastic place to grab a great sandwich in a clean and friendly environment. The restaurant chain was founded in 1994 by two former firefighter brothers in Jacksonville, Florida, Firehouse Subs is known for great food and for giving back to first responders through its Public Safety Foundation. They have about 1300 locations worldwide. This location lives up to that reputation with friendly service, quality ingredients, and a great sandwich. I ordered a large firehouse hero sandwich. The sandwich was made as I watched. It was delicious, filled with meat, and packed with flavor. They offer a variety of other options including salads and kid-friendly meals. The store was clean and well-organized, and the staff was attentive and quick. There's plenty of free, ample parking right in front, which makes it convenient even during busy lunch hours. The firehouse-themed décor, complete with firefighter memorabilia, gives the space a very nice welcoming feel. Whether you're dining in or grabbing something to go, this Firehouse Subs staff will do a great job to deliver on both taste and experience. It's a great stop for anyone looking for something fast, filling, and delicious.

Well, I came specifically for the toasted coconut and thought to ask for a taste just to remember how great it was. When she gave me the taste, I saw the brown and asked her. Is there chocolate in this? And she said yes. There is no chocolate in the toasted coconut dairy free ice cream. I've had this before at the Coco and no, there's no chocolate so that was weird. Can't get that. Then I asked for a soft serve vanilla twisty cone with a cherry dip. But guess what? Our dip maker is not working. No dip. So my husband got a shake. he asked for a strawberry malt shake with whipped cream. I decided on a ice cream scoop that they had but I wanted a child's cup because I have to be careful of my sweets. She said she has a small but not a child's cup and I said I really preferred a child's cup and she said she would charge me for a small but be happy to give me a child's cup. She did this. She gave my husband his shake. They were out of malt and oh by the way, I didn't realize this, but we're also out of whipped cream! Literally, they are out of everything. On a Friday night in May a great beach day, we were the only ones there! Although I do recommend the one in Cocoa, I cannot recommend this one.
