BWW has changed over the years. It's been awhile since we have gone to eat there. It appears that they have a newer menu with more offerings. I ordered the appetizer of nachos with chicken. Others ordered 5 naked chicken tenders w/ teriyaki dipping sauce and 6 mild original wings. We also had an appetizer of the Cheese Queso with tortilla chips, along with 3 sodas. My delivery order of 10 boneless wings with sauce on the side was the worst I've ever "tried" to eat. The wings were fried and heavily breaded so much that they were literally hard as rocks. Either the wings were tiny or they were the size of elongated chicken strips. They were so hard that I couldn't even bite into most of them. Horrible service. We went at lunch and had to wait for a take. Took them over 15 mint for use to finally get a server to took our order. We even had to go to the bar and ask. Once our food came they messed up my order. We even saw someone sit down at the bar and leave before the bartender/server kept ignoring them. Won't go back read more

When BWW was independently owned they were amazing, ever since they were bought out by corporate the place has turned to 100% crap, I use to go to the crystal lake location all the time, but never ever again go to wings and rings way way better food and service. read more

The place is a shit show and the manager that night was a straight up boob. 15 minutes for a server to arrive our table. 35 minutes for our first drink to arrive after we ordered it. It should be noted our servers boyfriend was getting all his beers in short order along with unlimited kisses. So she's not completely clueless on how to take care of someone. 95 minutes after placing our surprise order of WINGS, nothing had showed up and we walked. This was after the "manager" (who was running the bar that couldn't pour a beer in less than 40 minutes BTW) promised us he would personally see to us getting our food in 10-15 minutes. We left 20 minutes after that promise. Others were just as pissed as us. This happened between 7:20 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Sept 5. You pour beers and run a deep fryer. Get your shit together. Visited this location after not having been to a BWW for a long time. Boy was I disappointed. Ordered iced tea and they didn't have any made. Son ordered 3 naked tenders and for $11 it was pitiful. Rub was in a cup not on the chicken as requested and the pieces of chicken were tiny (3). I had the small order of cauliflower pieces with celery and carrots. $12 for cauliflower pieces with sauce and a small amount of celery and carrots. $32 for our bill seemed high for such a pitiful serving of food. underwhelming was the word of the day! read more

My son and his friends were excited to get back together (they all are juniours at different colleges) My son was thrilled to get a big group together for a hockey game and the all you can eat wings. My son told me the next day how terrible the service was. They had other servers hurt down there's to get drinks. Another time the guys would get up and look for her. My son was there for 2 hours. In that time he had 1 beer. 1. Water and 2. Servings of wings. I asked if anyone had been drunk or rude to the server and he said that no one was able to get more than 1 beer. So, no was drunk. We ordered delivery from Buffalo Wild Wings website this evening and the wrong order was dropped off. I called and waited on hold for twenty minutes. I called on another line and someone finally picked up that way. The manager said they use Door Dash drivers to deliver their orders and gave me another phone number to call. Had I known that I would've just used Door Dash or Uber Eats since this would've been taken care of with one quick app chat. I called Door Dash and received a new order at 9pm. My original delivery was scheduled for 7:30. This is why businesses are losing orders to third party services. The quality has been downhill for years and I always convinced my wife against all better judgements to give it one more chance and maybe they would turn it around. Sadly, the food tonight was stone cold, dryer than the Sahara desert, and it was so salty, I feel like I just ate a brick of salt. I spent $28.00, I guess I got what I paid for? I ordered on line, paid by credit card on 5/31. When I arrived to pick up dinner for the family there was a note on the door saying they closed at 8pm due to unfortunate circumstances. It was very weird. I tried to call and got no answer, I went to their corporate web site and had to use an outdated non user friendly complaint form. I got a response and a sorry/not sorry half assed apology from the store and was told my credit card would be refunded for the food I never got in 2/3 days. It has been over a week and no refund. I finally found a wing at Buffalo Wild Wings that I like. It's a dry rub called Desert Heat. This is the hottest of their dry rubs. I then get a side of their hottest sauce to dip the wings in. This sauce is the Blazin Sauce. This combo gives me some good heat that I look for. The thing I really don't like about BWW is the size of the wings. They have to be the smallest wings in the industry. That's why they went from selling them by the piece to selling them by the pound, and now they sell them per small, medium, or large order. BWW is very expensive. For my wife and I to eat and both have iced tea and no appetizers or dessert, it was over $50 with tip. They need to go back to pricing the wings by the piece and match the size of the competitors. Our waitress was very nice. No problems there. My recommendation at BWW is the Desert Heat wings. If you don't like the heat, stay away from the Blazin Sauce. read more

Wow! Don't know if all Buffalo Wild Wings have gotten this bad but the one in Crystal Lake is horrible. Should have realized it when the place was a ghost town at 6PM on a Wednesday. Cheese curds were basically cheese less and the largest wing in our traditional 20 wing order was about half the length of my pinky, was nearly meatless and cooked so long it could crack your teeth. Took my kids here after a day at the football field because they were starving and boy was that a big mistake. Service was absolutely terrible. I'll start of saying that I've been to a ton of Buffalo Wild Wings and this place wasn't close to being crowed. After being seated it took almost 10 minutes to see a waiter. We ordered our drinks and the house combo platter. 25 minutes later we still didn't have our combo platter. Finally asked to see where it was and it took another 10 minutes to show up. He blamed the kitchen but this thing consisted of chips, mot sticks, onion rings and 4 wings. Shouldn't take that long. After getting our platter we were given no napkins or plates. Took another 5 minutes after asking to get that stuff. Just bad all around service. We were there almost a hour and a half for 3 people. Not good. Runner brought out food in the weirdest order, plus had no silverware or napkins. Then when he came back with more food, I proceeded to ask for napkins for our wings, and sliverware. If I could leave a zero I would. We got here over an hour ago and when we asked about our food we were told "there's an issue in the kitchen". Don't waste your time here. I've never not given someone a tip and even feel bad about it. It's very evident that most of the staff really does not care about their job, and it reflects on their "customer service" or lack there of. Where to start, my chicken was good, the salad was good service was abyssmal. I dont know if it was the kitchen, the waiter or both but when you sit with 3 friends and food comes out wonky its pretty annoying first plate arrived 5+ minutes goes by second, another 5+ goes by 3rd then a 15 minute wait so by the time everyone else is finished I then just got my food. This was annoying seriously annoying they couldve brought the salad while the chicken was prepped. Would ve been satsfied with my dining experience. We stopped in for lunch today at 12:33. Not many patrons. We were asked if booth was ok. It's our preference. Tables at booths looked dirty. When we asked waitress if someone could wash the table, she said she had just done it and the streaks were from rag. ALL the booth seats around this particular booth had an abundance of crumbs. I love Buffalo Wild Wings and I have not had a bad experience yet. I have gotten orders to go in the past and had them delivered to my house which isn't in Crystal Lake. The food is always delicious and hot. Recently, I did dine-in. And the service and food was delicious. It was self seating for dine in. And the staff wears masks - they ask you to also wear a mask when the servers approach the table. I thought that was appreciate and respectful. Yikes. This place went downhill. My brother and I went in for some wings and a couple beers. The wings were still frozen on the inside. The wings came to our table 5 minutes after we placed the order. Makes me wonder if they were just sitting around from lunchtime and not made fresh. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and those came out in a huge clump and were frozen too. Wow. What happened here? My kid's school had a fund raiser night so we went here. A lot of people showed up, but it wasn't crazy. There was a 30 minute wait to get a table, even though there were plenty of empty tables that should have been bussed. Once seated it took an hour (yes an hour) for us to get a couple orders of wings and a veggie burger. The wait staff seemed kind of scattered and clueless. Grand Opening on 3/15/2009 This is a sports bar for sure. The lady who waited on us said they have over 50 televisions...I believe it. There was one gigantic one I could see from where I was sitting that had the Blackhawks game on while we were eating....sweet. Also they have that trivia game where they hand out the little game terminals to the tables and you can play while you hang out. Of course I had to try the wings here due to the name of the place. The price for 18 wings was $12.50 or so. I think this is a very good price since when I make the wings at home it costs me that much just to buy the meat, not to mention the sauce, fry oil, etc. so I consider this a very good deal. I got the spicy garlic wings...pretty good. I think next time I am going to go for the super hot ones just to see what they are like. Since the wings are in sets of 9 you can get a different sauce on each group of nine and they have about a dozen different wing sauces to choose from. They have an enclosed patio here but there was no furniture on it. I assume it is gated off so they can serve alcohol on it and control who gets in and out. I don't usually go to chain restaurants but on the way home from my daughters soccer game, my brother wanted to watch the Bears game. We thought it would be packed since it was a Sunday night but it was pretty empty. I don't care for wings but my daughter does. She got the Honey BBQ traditional wings and like them but didn't love them. They had my favorite beer, Crystal Lake Beach Blonde for only $5 which is pretty cheap. I also got a cheeseburger and fries that was on special for $5. It was decent for the price. Like I said before, I don't like chains so all I can say is that it was ok for a chain. read more

We parked our car and on the ground of the parking lot, in the dark parking lot, lies a large pink wallet. My 11 year old son picks it up and there is a slew of credit cards (15-ish) and forms of ID and a large wad of cash (I'm guessing ~$200.00-ish). We enter the restaurant to turn it in and we were received with a nonchalant attitude and barely thanking us for turning it in. We had finished dinner which lasted over an hour and 30 minutes and as we were walking out, I then went out of my way to ask the girl we turned the wallet in to if the owner of the wallet had called The restaurant looking for her wallet. She said no, it was our restaurant General Manager's wallet. I cannot believe that no one came over to our table and thanked us whether the GM was there or not. If you've ever lost your wallet it's a big life disruption not to mention some people may not have turned it in completely in tact. For that - the moral integrity and lack of appreciation for a good deed (my son) I will never patron this chain again. They obviously need core value & belief training. Totally disgusted and totally disappointed in this chain and their staff. A little thank you goes a long way especially with a11 year old and 8 year old boys.
