First things first, I love BDub! It's one of my favorite wing spots. This trip however was a bit different. The food was still fantastic - I got 10 trad wings with fries. Asian Zinc and Desert Heat. The restaurant was pretty calm and clean. My group went around 2pm. The service was just very slow, and from what our waiter mentioned, it was due to there only being 2 cooks. It took us over 30 mins to get our food. I'm sure this place is normally quick paced and on par, but this trip just wasn't it. read more

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Gone are the days of cheap wings, beer, and sports. This place is a complete shell of its form self. I can think of a dozen places that offer this exact same setup for a much lower price. I quite frankly would not be surprised if this one did not last long. My mom, sister and I wanted to watch the football game here and it was the perfect place to be. We sat down at the high top area and was greeted by Makell. He was the best waiter we have ever had. He went way above and beyond for the three of us. His excitement was through the roof. We loved his upbeat attitude and personality. Food was amazing, fresh and smelled so good. I can't rate the food because we never got any. The service was by far the worst and most absurd experience I've ever had. We came in with a large party, I have been to restaurants in a large party before and never waited 2 HOURS for food and 45 minutes to even have our food order taken. When asked to speak with the manager he gaslit us into thinking it was our fault because we had a large party. He then claimed he would go get our food, when 2 other waitresses came out and asked us again what we ordered, it was incorrect and we told them we didn't want it anymore. It had nearly been 2.5 hours at this point and we were no longer hungry. We will NEVER return to this restaurant. The staff is untrained and the manager is rude and does not take ownership of his mistakes. Wish I could give 0 stars. Horrendous. This place used to be fine and on par with other Buffalo Wild Wings locations. I'm not sure what has happened as of lately, but I've gone twice in the last couple months and both times the service was absolutely horrible. Wait times in between drinks, food, and the check stretch about 45 minutes each. Plan to spend about 3 hours or more there because they take their time, busy or slow. On my last visit, my girlfriend had ordered a vodka soda (literally just club soda with vodka and lime). 45 minutes later they brought a "vodka soda" except instead of club soda it was tonic. She cannot have sugar, and this completely changes the sugar content. She politely let the bartender know and they said she had to tell the waiter instead (even though they made the drink). So she did, and he said he would fix it. 10 minutes later the same bartender comes to our table and rudely made it a point that if my girlfriend ordered it again, she would get the exact same thing. My girlfriend tried to explain that she wanted a vodka soda with SODA water and not tonic, yet she insisted that is how the drink is made and would not budge. Needless to say she did not get her drink, and she had to essentially force the waiter to take it off the bill. After getting our food we waited another hour for the waiter so we could ask him for the check, only for him to come back another 30 minutes later to AGAIN ask if we wanted the checks. After all that, my friend also got charged for 2 of his drink that he only ordered one of. Overall the service is genuinely some of the worst I have experienced. Very clean, moderate noise level, family type atmosphere and plenty of parking. Ordered the onion rings for an appetizer and they didn't disappoint. The wings were overcooked and very dry plus they were drenched in sauce. Managed to eat five because I was so hungry but couldn't bear to eat more. The dressing and celery did little to help choke them down. Mentioned it to the waitress and she said they do cook them more to make them crisp and acted as if it weren't a big deal. She said she was sorry but didn't make any attempt to rectify the issue. We all know what to expect at a BWWs, but the last few times at this place has proven to be a huge disappointment. After a long day at work full of meetings, I just wanted to sit with my wife for some decent bar food and conversation. As we walked in, we were (not) greeted by a girl leaning in the podium flipping through her phone. She grabbed her phone and grabbed two menus and walked away. We didn't realize she wanted us to follow her until she flipped her head around and stared at us. She didn't ask if we wanted the bar, a table or booth. She sat us at us in a booth. When we slid across the seats, we realized our shirt sleeves, arms and hands had cleaned the drinks and bbq sauce off the still dirty table. The food tasted horrible. The wings were obviously cooked earlier - maybe even a day before and then recooked. The fries were medium heated and you could tell that they too were recooked and left overs. My wife and I ate less than our meal. It was awful. To be honest, customer service and quality has failed severely since the end of Covid. I do not think it is just BWW, it is industry wide. How disappointing that a $58 dinner was left sitting on the table. We left and drove through Mc Donald's so we could get home. read more

For mgt purposes: we arrived 530p Saturday 11/26. Truly mediocre... I realize this is a chain but there should be consistent standards ie McDonalds.... Their traditional and original Buffalo wings were a dry rub and should be wet, and the garlic parmesan wings were terrible. The host was the worst part; her name is "Sky" and was rude upon arrival and first sat us in a place where we had no view of the games and the middle of the restaurant was wide open. She simply was difficult to work with and didn't want to be there. We've been going with frequency (couple times a month) for 5 years. From the previous locations to the new one down 29 and the service just is atrocious. The servers are far from friendly, regularly get the order correct, and just seem to really not want to be there whatsoever. We have tried carry out quite a bit recently and even then that can't be managed well. They are typically 30+ minutes behind expectation and food is frozen by the time they bring it to you. If this was just one instance I wouldn't complain but this has been 6-7th round. We just buy the sauce and make our own at this point ‍ Maybe we will try again in a few months but at this point we are tired of wasting money at the Charlottesville location. Sadly they are the only wing place around, since the best place around, Wild Wing Cafe, shut down. Stopped by after visiting UVA. I have a pretty good sense of B-Dubs in general, and this location strikes me as above average for the chain. Ashleigh G. was our server, and she was very prompt and attentive. The food was delivered pretty quickly for a Friday night that was moderately busy. When we arrived, they asked if we would sit in a high top, but due to my age I really can't, so the hostess gladly seated us in a section that did not yet have a server assigned, so we could have a booth. We still got very good service despite that, and I appreciate the willingness to do that. My chicken Club sandwich was nicely cooked, not rubbery, and lightly seasoned as requested. The pretzel knots were served hot. The only reduction in rating is due to a) no onion rings B) no brisket available to add to the ultimate nachos. Ashleigh said it had been a very long time since they had it. Odd, they have it in other parts of the state. Overall, not sure why the poor ratings, if I can have a decent experience on a Friday night @ 6pm, I wonder if expectations are being set a bit high. It's was almost like no one here knew anything about sports. TVs were obscure channels. No one seemed to know how to turn on ESPN, Fox or ABC. We had to leave the "sports bar" to go find somewhere to watch sports. Several tables asked to speak with the manager and he cowered in the kitchen. Management is costing this location business and their waiters/waitresses tips. Find somewhere else to watch your "big game" because they'll probably forget about it here. read more

I love Buffalo Wild Wings food, I was part of the opening at the Gainesville location & a regular there after. I have tortured myself with the blazing challenge, twice! -- I am experienced with quality BWW food. This location does not have it, waited over an hour for our food, our waiter was incredibly inattentive, and we didn't even get silverware when our food finally did come out.. Half the wings were under sauced, they forgot the carrots & ranch. Honestly I was astonished at the absolute failure of service we had... it was just a simple party of four and they were very busy. I asked a host for help and he simply walked away, I asked another waitress for help so we weren't eating with our fingers and she finally sent a manager over... she was nice and helpful however it has already been 1.5 hours since we sat down for dinner and had just received napkins and silverware. The sauces I've tried the last few visits, including hot, medium, Asian zing, Caribbean jerk, and teriyaki are unnecessarily sweet. They likewise have an industrial taste that clearly comes across as factory made, bottled and shipped to the store. For folks that enjoy fresh, homemade sauces, stay away. During a trip in June 2020, we sat inside and ordered steak nachos as an appetizer. The chips were soft, they poured too much crema on them, and the pico de gallo just didn't taste fresh. With our wings, we ordered French fries, which were not crispy enough for me. Not a knock on them, just hard to look past when the rest of the meal was below satisfactory. Placed an order online for a 7PM pickup. The Takeout entrance is the only way in and I could not do so because they allowed a crowd of people to wait for their order inside. These people were just hanging out looking at their cell phones and inter mingling with the half dozen (give or take) employees. Meanwhile, I am waiting in the foyer trying to get someone's attention. After someone finally left with their order, I walked in only to discover even more people waiting out of view. I finally made it to the shelves that contained. Of course, they had mine hidden behind other orders and I had to dodge an weave all these people hovering, waiting for their orders. They taped the orders shut using shipping tape so there was no opportunity to inspect it. Of course, when I got home not only did they NOT PROVIDE NAPKINS, they also FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE RANCH DIPPING SAUCE I requested. Worse of all, it seems that THEY FORGOT to add the Garlic Parmesan flavoring I also ordered because the wings were SO BLAND, I could not finish what I ordered. These guys just did not care about keeping people apart nor did they care about getting the orders correct. I generally enjoy Buffalo Wild Wings, and visually this one is very similar with others. Actually, it was pretty clean, had an abundance of TVs, and the staff was responsive. The food, however, was fully lacking. I ordered my usual: medium (which is confusing in and of itself) traditional spicy garlic wings. For those that don't know, a wing is really two wings, a drumstick and a flat. You should get around a 50% mix of each. However, I received 100% flats, which have less meat than their fairer counterparts have. Additionally, the wings were hard and cold. Not freezing, but around room temperature. I probably came at a bad time, and paid in full, but it wasn't the best experience I've ever had. read more

I am uncertain of the problem with this facility, because I've been to many other Buffalo wild wings and had great service/drinks/wings. However I've attempted this restaurant at least three times, And has been disappointed every time. The first time, I had poor service. I went extended length of time without the server returning or to replenish our drinks. The second time and third time, the wings were very dry. I'm not sure if you have to ask for extra sauce at a baseline, but sauce wings should have some sauce on them and not appear to be a dry rub. The most recent time, I ordered a signature bloody Mary which did not look anything like the picture, and did not come out with any condiments on it, such as olives or celery. The wings again were very dry and sauceless. I really wish this buffalo wild wings was better, because I do enjoy the wings at other locations. Decided to attempt dining-in about 2-3 weeks ago. Restaurant wasn't at all busy, yet service was still some of the worst we've ever experienced. Entire order was wrong, even down to the fact that we ordered sweet tea and they brought out unsweet. Ordered boneless wings, received bone-in. We aren't ever patrons who complain, so we chalked it up to a bad day and went to pay for our food. Our waitress had completely disappeared half way through our meal, so a random (potentially management?) employee working at the restaurant finally offered to ring us up so we could go. We'd finished our food and had been sitting for quite some time waiting for the bill. They took our card, and didn't return for over 20 more minutes. Unfortunate but true - we won't be back. The biggest problem was how long it took to get our food. 45 minutes for a burger and a chicken sandwich seems a little ridiculous. i was a victim of racism from the bartender and the manager, i showed an id from my country and they demanded a us id i can't take my passport oh documents everywhere just to go relax in a bar. this buffalo is located on charlottesville 29 north. Coming here I thought it might be better then the waynesboro location ( extremely slow service the few times I went, not many people and wings maybe half covered in sauce) ...Called in an order from the other side of town, made sure to say the dry rub after every flavor . Once I got there I waited several minutes before being acknowledged, just though this being so slow with only a few tables must be a wild wings thing and just waited patiently. Got home about 40 min later to see I got sauce on one of the wings and not the dry rub I asked for :/ 2 stars because the wings were delicious. $60 for 3 flavors of 15 each was little high but I don't buy wings too much so I can make an exception occasionally.
