BWW used to be the place for bringing in all your friends and being almost as noisy as the TVs. But their price increases, failure to treat dairy and gluten free diets, inconsistent service, and worst of all removing the brisket from their menu has dropped it off the options list. We walked through the door with a party of about 7 or 8 people. We knew that we may have not been seated right away or that we'd have to wait for them to put tables together, however, we were not helped for a solid ten minutes. This was during a Saturday night, so it's understandable to a certain extent, but there was truly no one assigned to the host stand. When someone finally came out to help us, we were not greeted and he just kinda stared at us for a minute. He told us that they only had a booth available, and that we'd have to squeeze in. We were fine with this because we assumed a chair could be added at the end (almost like a high chair situation). We sit down, grab a chair, and all of a sudden the waitress comes around the corner and immediately says "You guys can't have a chair there." No greeting or anything, again this is understandable especially if it's a fire code, but she was extremely rude about it. She truly ruined this entire experience at the restaurant for me and my friends. She then immediately ushered us to the bar side of the restaurant, which was NOT her section and was already packed with people. In the bar side of the restaurant, we were sat at a 6 top and then had to pull a chair up, which was apparently not against the fire code anymore. We then were helped by another waitress who was sweet, but obviously was sat too many times and was overwhelmed. We order our food and our waitress brought out drinks and silverware. We pass out the silverware, and most of them had chunks of food and water stains on the forks, so we couldn't use them? Also keep in mind that someone at the table has a severe allergy, and we didn't know what was in this food. This also brings up the question of the cleanliness of the back of house and how it is run. Our food finally comes out, and no one had the sauces they had ordered (some of them were NOT extra with the meal), and someone else at the table had to wait an extra 10 minutes for her food. By this time, we had to leave to make our next plan and told the bus boy to tell our waitress that we needed our checks soon, and we watched him tell her, and she literally just stared at him. We then had to wait another 20 minutes to get our checks and had to wave down our waitress to get her to speak to us. We will not be returning to this restaurant EVEN if its changed. read more

Went in for quick dinner with my daughter. I hate to complain so usually I just eat the food no matter the experience and follow up with a review. So here it is. I could not eat these chicken "jerky" wings! They came to the table lukewarm/tepid and way overcooked and dry. When I tore one apart the meat had that gray-ish translucent color. So who knows how it had been since they left thw fryer? So, I had no choice but to send them ALL back. The kitchen made a new batch that took another 20 minutes. The second batch while better than the first were at least hot, but were still quite dry. By the time we got past the halfway point, the wings had cooled down, becoming super dry and inedible. I give 2-stars rather than one because the manager was cool about having our orders remade, although he never apologized, although our server did. Btw, before this visit, I had not been in for a while because the app doesn't work at least half the time, and true to form, the app wasn't working this evening either. The manager had to manually calculate the adjustment to my bill to reflect the relevant promo. All this to say, BWW is becoming less and less attractive. And have you seen how expensive the wings have gotten! Nearly $40 for 30 wings! Yes the sauces are great, but the wings are tiny now, and they aren't even good anymore. read more

Service was slow. I understand being short staffed, but was kind of outrageous. Waiters and waitresses kept stacking cups and plates on the table next to ours and then telling us they were behind on dishes. We ordered 52 wings (mango habanero, honey bbq, sweet bbq, and mild) and a large fry. Our large fry came out whenever we were almost done with our wings. It took almost 20 minutes to get refills on water. We were in from out of town for a work trip. If we come back to Champaign, we wouldn't come back to this BWW location. read more

Bad service and terrible food. We idled by the vacant hostess stand for a couple minutes before we were seated in the half empty restaurant. Chips were so soggy/greasy, we could fold them like origami. I very politely asked our server for some chips that were more firm, and while I can't recall her exact words, her rude and "I can't be bothered" tone is unforgettable. It was also not anywhere near busy enough to justify sitting with empty waters for half an hour. My friend asked if we could get water refills, and she brought back one cup, as if we were all supposed to take turns passing one cup? Maybe they were out of clean cups, but again, not busy enough to be out. My friend ordered tacos, and when the server asked if the fries that come with them are ok, she asked about the other side options. The server pointed to the menu, but failed to mention that the other sides are extra. Fine, that's not uncommon, but a heads up would be appreciated. The server said that fries come with the wings that another friend ordered, but we were charged for them. We have only been to a BWW twice before this, so I'm not sure if this is normal or what. I got the street tacos. They simply are not street tacos. It's a hodgepodge of bullshit. Garlic Parmesan sauce and ranch do not--by any definition--belong on a "street taco." They were supposed to come with chips and salsa, but didn't and that's probably the silver lining to this entire establishment's incompetence because the chips we ordered as an appetizer were like wet paper. Wings were shit. Whatever excuse for a chef they have working in the kitchen could not spare 10 more seconds from doing absolutely nothing--as it seems that nothing is exactly what everyone is doing--to shake the container in which the wings are coated with sauce. It really should not be so hard to coat wings evenly. We ordered the chips and dips trio as an appetizer. Queso ran and tasted like it was cut with water. Guac sat in a pool of liquid too. Every dip was topped with diced tomatoes that nobody could be bothered to drain. I mean the entire plate was just wet, as if they had heated it in the dishwasher in another attempt to pinch a penny. Soggy chips. Greasy food. Empty waters. Server overwhelmed by two tables. Absent hostess. Charged for sides that "come with" the entrees. Shit and dip trio. Dry wings. I have no issues with the service but be prepared for the happy hour and late night supposed specials. You think your Coors light is three bucks but it's not when it's after nine it's only the food. It seems like they try to trick you on that but it is not part of happy hour. Wish I could give zero stars. Firstly, we are normally huge fans of BWW. My late father loved the restaurant and we frequented both this store (N. Prospect) and Savoy often. We came in at 9:30pm, and were one of only a handful of tables. Our appetizer came out promptly, and was hot. We then waited over 20 minutes for our entrees. Finally, another employee ran our food to us, with the metal pans piping hot (meaning they were probably in the window for a while). The girl who dropped off our food forgot all of our sauces, and we proceeded to sit there (with our food getting colder) for nearly 10 minutes, until we could get the attention of the manager, Brent. We were also all out of drinks, so we had to ask him for both the neglected drinks and the forgotten sauces. When we finally began eating, we found that the fries were cold, and you could tell they were double fried (probably old ones they threw in the fryer to "heat up"). Additionally, the two orders of fried shrimp were severely undercooked. The breading around the shrimp was still gummy, and as I am writing this review both myself and my sister (the two who ordered the shrimp) are feeling extremely sick and nauseous from that undercooked food. As my mother ate her second half of her chicken wrap, she also found a long hair in it. Throughout our meal, our waitress, Kailee, not only failed to bring out our food, but she also failed to check on us. She did not bring us refills on drinks nor did she come promptly after our food was delivered to check on us and our order. She neglected us throughout our entire visit and was one of the worst waitresses we've ever had at BWW. When we found the hair in the chicken wrap, she did at least do the right thing and get the manager, Brent. He, however, also did not do the right thing. After we explained all of the issues with our food, he gave us the option for a discount on our bill or freshly cooked food. At this point, we had been at the restaurant for nearly an hour and 15 minutes, and were tired and ready to go home. We opted for the discount as we had been there a while and now didn't feel good from the bad food. He went to discount the food, but Kailee continued to neglect us and attend to her 2 other tables instead. We waited another 15 minutes for her to finally come check on us so that we could ask for the bill, and Brent had somehow disappeared. Finally, she brought it and we found that he had only given us a 15% discount. 15% on food that had a hair in it. 15% for nearly raw shrimp that caused us to be ill. 15% for some of the worst service we have ever received. The coward then sat at a table in the bar so that he didn't have to deal with us any more (picture attached). Overall, this was the worst, most disgusting and infuriating food retail experience I have ever experienced. We will NEVER be returning to the N. Prospect store, and we will seriously reconsider ever frequenting BWW again if this is the staff and management that it seems acceptable to take care of patrons. I would encourage you to avoid this store, especially if Kailee and Brent are working. read more

If you don't have cable and you really want to watch a sports game; especially ones that don't involve Chicago teams, this is the place to be. Most mom 'n pop sports bars will always have all their channels on a Chicago team that's playing. Buffalo Wild Wings has a wide array of TV's to cater to all sorts of sports fans. The only foible is the fact that they don't put on closed captions for any of the channels. It'd be nice to actually read what the announcers are saying. The food is your standard fare for an American place. I usually go with the build-your-own burger. The burgers and fries satisfy, but don't completely fill you up. read more

Went around 7 on a Friday and was seated at a high top table promptly. Didn't have to wait long at all for service and our server Chuck was personable, attentive and fun. Food is what you would expect for a chain restaurant and was cooked properly. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the meat was not over cooked at all, still nice and juicy. Server Chuck (who I think was also working behind the bar) was really the star of the show and made our experience worth writing about. read more

to begin this review, i am a waitress and have sympathy for other waitresses, especially new ones. however i spent over two hours at this specific buffalo wild wings and it was horrible. she took 15 minutes to get our drink and when she came back she reeked of weed and was high. very high. then she put in our order and another 45 minutes later we got 1/2 of our appetizers without any silverware or napkins. about 10 minutes later we got the other appetizer still with no silverware. after asking, 5 minutes later we received silverware as the food was coming out. we got our food and she asked if she could get us anything. we said we needed refills and ranch. she never came back. we then had to go to the servers station to get someone to finally refill our drinks. then we finished and waited 20 minutes to get our check and she had three tables. then when we asked what would be done about the service. she gave us 25% off our next meal and said that would save us 30 dollars! that doesn't add up. if your still reading this it gets better. the "manager" came up to help and i could literally see his butt crack. our waitress called him over and then he asked who our waitress was?? he then told us that everyone who spends 50 dollars gets a 25 dollar gift card. how would that help if everyone gets it? that doesn't make sense because the sign said otherwise. once he decided to come back with the gift card, we asked once again asked what would be done about the service today! he looked at us like we were crazy. then he said let me come right back. he came back another 20 minutes later saying he gave us 13 dollars off. we decided to leave after this. this was horrible service. i will never come to this location again. read more

I travel the country on business & BWW is always a reliable fall back when looking for a place to eat & catch a game. Then I came here tonight. Tables have nothing on them; no condiments no napkins no menu was offered. No napkin or coaster for beer. When food arrived it was served on a hot metal tray with no bone basket. I had to ask for napkins & ketchup. Owner is obviously cheap & cutting every corner. Food was good on par for BWW. Medium traditional wings &17.79 which is friggin outrageous. This owner needs a secret visit from BWW HQ as this place is a disgrace to their brand. read more

The guy who took my order over the phone said it'd be ready in about 20 minutes. I was there before 20. The worst service I've ever had and I've had a server ask why I gave her the tip she deserved. My server was Cassidy and this is the second time I had shitty service at this place. We were her only table and of course when we were finished she decided to run to the back to do whatever she was doing and she was nowhere in site. Meanwhile I was sitting there with my boyfriend for 10 minutes just looking around to see if anyone could help us. To be honest we were thinking about just leaving because at this point no employees were even around and who knows when we were going to get the check. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had an online order placed around noon and even came in 25 minutes early to check in my order. After a while I asked the girl if my order was even placed. She gave me multiple invalid excuses like people came in before me when they didnt. Then she told me it's because they ordered before me which was not true because I ordered 4 hours before I went to go get my order. After that I waited another 15 minutes for them to get me my food. I am not going to say that I receive excellent service always. I think it really depends on the mood you show up in. I have been to this restaurant at least 50 times. Super Bowl Sunday and Playoffs is one of the servers hardest days/nights. They are working double the volume of service. I have had excellent and poor service. But, out of 50 times, I have only been disappointed once. Unfortunately the poor service is the part people always want to write about. I think the food has always been great. I usually get my wings, original, naked, zing-sauce on the side. Because the chicken really has great flavor and the sauce is a little much if they serve it wet.. This place is known for bar food munchies and not elegant dinning... So, with that in mind the service is always fast, cheap, and food is great. Well, tonight was a little different. The bartender has. 1/4 holes in her ears (from plugs I assume). She was rude, and made rude comments at least 4 times to different customers that had been paying a tab for 2.5 hours. I wasn't offended because I wasn't directly involved. But, I could tell that the comment offended the buyer. Here is what the guy said innocently to the punk rock bartender with gapping ear lobes. "So that's a cool tatoo, is that Harry potter?" No answer. The customer then asked. "I'm sorry did that offend you? ". Bartender "your face and presence offends me". And there was no laughter. If you alter your body and society asks a question. Isn't there an appropriate answer? Or at least a comical outcome for the sake of bar-tending? I have lost a little respect for bw's. My friend and I sat at the bar to watch the Blues game and have dinner. The bartender was awesome. Her name was Ashley and she was nice and knew her stuff. I had a Bloody Mary and it was killer, the Strawberry Mango Margarita was really good too. For dinner we had the cheese curds they were so good but the portion was small for the price. You shouldn't type things when you are pissed off, so I'll try to be as objective as possible. Hostess - fine, food - good, server - absolutely terrible. It was pretty simple, our server didn't do her job. I have no issues leaving great tips, but she deserved no tip. The only reason I give her a measly 15% is so I didn't end up on Reddit being shamed by society. She didn't remove any of our appetizer plates, she didn't come to see us if our food was good or even right until the check came, the check was split wrong, didn't ask us if we needed any boxes, and my friend paid with cash didn't even get her change. It wasn't even busy, which surprised us because the 49s and Seahawks were playing. To make matters worse when trying to flag down the on staff manager, he didn't acknowledge us and when we walked past us to another table, his eyes were bloodshot and looked completely loaded or high. We decided to cut our losses and get out while we were still "ahead." Maybe if the manager would stop flirting with his servers and teach them customer service, this place wouldn't have such bad reviews and would be more busy on a big game night. Had the appetizer platter and some chips and salsa. The wings were good but the nachos need help. They use a cheese sauce and cheese sauce, to me, is just gross and salty. The Chipolte ranch dipping sauce was very good. I certainly did not go away hungry. Our waiter was very nice and quite efficient. The place was clean and the bathrooms were super clean. I don't usually go here so I am not sure if that is out of the norm or not. We were greeted promptly at the door and seated. This is just a review of the place for trivia. They have NTN trivia, with a good game that starts at 7:30 and lasts till 8:30 with multiple rounds, categories, and scoring schemes. It features a good mix of questions that become more difficult as the game progresses. If you do not make the maximum points wager at the end of the game on the final question, I do not respect you. A word of warning, however: if you perform too well at trivia at this location, you may attract the attention of a certain member of MENSA who isn't shy about telling people she is in MENSA (like many MENSA members, I find). Not the usual excellence I expected. The sampler came with undercooked onion rings - either oil not hot enough or pulled too soon - very soft and oily. The burgers can only be served medium well, robbing them of flavor and moisture. The screaming nacho burgers only flavor was from the fresh jalapeños; otherwise unremarkable in any way. The big jack was topped with the same undercooked and oily onion rings. Overall, the only consistently good thing were the drafts. Disappointing as they used to have decent food.
