Hello, I am an old customer of buffalo trim,Amherst Location near UB north campus. I am writing this out of disappointment that one of your hair stylist was extremely rude and obnoxious towards me. She deliberately was rushing the whole hair cut session and refuse to properly dry my hair after the wash. Have been coming here for 7-8 years now, and I have always been satisfied with the hair cuts I've received. The staff is friendly, and the studio / facility are nicely appoints with TVs at each station, a pool table, and leather chairs. I received a hair cut today from Emily who was very personable, and good at her job- I will definitely be back, and recommend for you to check them out as well. Anyways the one off of Main where I first had my awesome experience cut & time to experience the pool table was great!!!! As for the college location on Sweet Home I do have to say needs some TLC . The lady said you can pick or select next available. well I picked but for some reason another stylist called me and I let her cut my sons hair with skepticism. I still would have preferred the first one I picked just saying!!! As for the cut we'll just put it this way I knew not to let her cut my beard after seeing her cut my sons difficult curly hair. due to how difficult curly hair can be !!. So with this said I do have to say the system needs to better accommodate for parents because having to individually sign in especially those that have more than one kid can be a pain. 2nd if the customer didn't pick next available don't ask them to let you cut . You put them in a uncomfortable position especially if you don't blow them away with your skills like Jess did Although I picked her as well. 3rd get your cue sticks fixed. I understand to refelt the table is expensive but the cues aren't especially chalk . PS you should have the ATM moved if possible other than that I love Buffalo Trim!!! My opinion I mean this is a review- I would NOT go here if you have a son who cares anything about his hair! you will THANK me someday. I have given this place to many chances. The ONLY one who can cut hair is the tall brown hair woman. She's nice and pleasant, but most importantly understands my directions. I took my teen in today and I forgot who he saw, but she's got dark hair. VERY nice and friendly but I don't understand why these girls can't cut hair! I ask for something I expect it. I have now left with two kids who are unhappy which is unfortunate in a world of teens bullying you can really hurt a kids ego. I go to UB north campus. So, the location makes things pretty convenient for me. Staffs are cool, environnment is welcoming and fun. If you walk in, usually you may need to wait a few minutes, especially if you have a stylist in mind, but it is ok as it wouldn't be long. Since moving to Buffalo from Toronto in late 2015, I had been getting my haircut (10 minutes to do cut it, max) at the Supercuts near our home. It all started well and good, the stylist was competent and pleasant, but as she got to know me over time she seemed to lose focus on providing me with a good cut. The Buffalo Trim location on Sweet Home is a 5 min drive from my work, so I headed there at lunch. I liked everything about the place when I walked in - the jerseys on the wall, the self-check in, the classic rock tunes. It's definitely a step up from Supercuts. Upon self-check in I selected Sam as my stylist, based on the positive reviews she received on Yelp. She did not disappoint - great cut! Nice atmosphere (pool table, tv's, sports decor) but it's a bit over priced, you have to pay more for them to straight razor your neck. Its convenient you'll be able to have the normal, slightly rehearsed, small talk conversation. Odds are you'll never see that stylist again since they seem to change staff quite regularly. But hey, it's super convenient and they have an adequate amount of stylists so the wait is never that long. If you're used to going to chain places then maybe the price will not surprise you. This place emanates the idea of a stereorypical man. It's dark in the shop, with a pool table right when you walk in, red walls, sports memorabilia all over the walls and black leather chairs to wait in. We waited about 10 minutes for a haircut and they were busy. Since we are getting married in a week my fiance asked me to tell the stylist what is like done with his hair. She was very receptive and they are always fast when cutting his hair. Also reasonably priced. This would be a good place to drop off your son for his first solo haircut but definitely not your daughter, we they only cut hair for men. Had a great haircut from Sam. I am from NYC so paying $14.00 for a haircut is nothing out of the blue. Sam was very informative and let me know everything she was doing before she did it. I got a fade with a hard part, this was the best haircut I have gotten since I have been in Buffalo. I am definitely coming back. They also sell a lot of hair products if you are interested. Just had my first experience at the Buffalo Trim. And It was awesome. The girls were super friendly and made me feel like I've been going there for years. There were a few people ahead of me but there was plenty to keep me busy. I threw some darts and was about to start a game of pool when Ashley called my name. She made me feel right at home as soon as we met, and she did an AWESOME job cutting my hair (seriously it's tough I have a lot of colic's). I opted for the hot neck shave and what a great choice it was! I must say I'm feeling pretty fresh after visiting The Buffalo Trim. Went there today for a haircut, walked out not fully pleased with the cut. Asked for a 4 on the sides with a taper and then a scissor cut on top with blending on the sides. The woman who was cutting my hair buzzed my head with no fade/taper like I asked and then did an alright job with the scissor cut on top, uneven in a few places and not the best blending to the sides. Overall it'll do for a trim, but I would not go here as your regular barber, find another place that knows how to cut a simple medium length fade. I love that you never need an appointment, but can select your favorite stylist if you end up liking one. For me, it's nothing but Michelle! She gives the best haircuts and is super nice and chill. I'm active duty military and it is incredibly difficult to find a barber or stylist that can execute a seamless fade but Lindsay and a couple of others do an amazing job!! All of the staff are friendly and attentive and the place is very neat and clean with a pool table and sports playing on the tv. I went through at least 3 barbers in my first two months in Buffalo.
