The facility itself is top-notch--it's clean, modern, and has something for just about everyone. They have a huge indoor pistol and rifle range, an indoor archery range, and even a coffee shop, which is a nice touch if you're spending a few hours there. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is the staff. Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, patient, and genuinely knowledgeable. I'd especially like to give a shoutout to Chris Lewis and Zach for taking care of all of my NFA paperwork. They've made the process smooth, answered all of my questions, and everything has been handled professionally with no issues so far. If you're looking for someone to help with suppressors, SBRs, or other NFA items, I'd recommend working with either of them. The showroom always has plenty of firearms, optics, and accessories to browse, and I never feel pressured to buy anything. It's clear the staff enjoys what they do and wants customers to leave informed rather than just making a sale. Whether you're a new shooter, an experienced enthusiast, or looking for a trustworthy FFL or NFA dealer, I highly recommend checking out COPENDERO. They've definitely earned my business, and I look forward to continuing to work with them for future purchases.

STOP LOOKING -- THIS IS YOUR NEW RANGE…read more Copendero Indoor Archery & Gun Range has been an absolute gem for our A Girl & A Gun Woodlands chapter. After less-than-stellar experiences elsewhere, finding a range that truly values its members has been refreshing. From day one, they've treated us like gold--welcoming, respectful, and consistently accommodating. The staff is outstanding. Their RSOs are attentive, safety-focused, and professional while still being friendly and approachable. Special shoutout to Michael and Colt, who are always excellent on the range. Angel at the coffee/snack bar is a delight, and Chris seems to be everywhere at once keeping things running smoothly. Gabe and Brandon have also gone above and beyond to support our group and make everyone feel welcome. The facility itself is impressive--clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. Great pistol lanes, a solid 100-yard rifle range, unique rental firearms, quality targets, a strong retail selection, and even an on-site gunsmith. They also have an indoor archery range, which adds another layer of fun and versatility. Online lane reservation ability is a plus. Another major advantage is the availability of multiple classroom spaces equipped with presentation technology, making it an excellent venue for training, safety courses, group meetings, and educational events. One feature I especially appreciate is that each lane has cameras that let you evaluate your target without constantly reeling it back in. It's efficient, modern, and makes practice sessions much smoother. Their ventilation system is excellent--a big deal at any indoor range--and clearly designed with shooter comfort and safety in mind. There's also a front coffee/snack bar open to everyone, which gives the whole place a welcoming clubhouse feel rather than a sterile retail vibe. One of the most distinctive touches is the décor, featuring taxidermy displays--many reportedly harvested by the owner's son with a bow, which is genuinely impressive. Upstairs is a separate business, but accessible to certain tier members and for events. A VIP lounge space that deserves mention all its own: cigars, drinks, TV, fireplace, pool table, and a great atmosphere to unwind after shooting. They also host creative events--date nights with chef-prepared meals, couples shooting activities, indoor steel challenges, and a calendar full of options for every skill level. They support veterans with discounts and are generous supporters of the Girl & A Gun ladies as well, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. Whether you're teaching your child to shoot safely, training seriously, or just enjoying a weekend range session, Copendero delivers. I get tremendous value from my membership and highly recommend them. As a group of experienced women shooters, we are proud and grateful to call Copendero our home range. First-class people, first-class facility.

Why 4 stars? Because it was certainly a memorable experience…read more --- --- --- For the first 38 years of my life, I had never even touched a gun. That changed with my visit to BTO, and boy was it an experience. My friend was in town visiting and had a flight back home that evening. I really had no good ideas on what we could do all day, and felt bad that we might end up spending his last day just hanging around my house. After all, it was a Monday and I live way up in the burbs, so choices were very limited. But then I came across the idea of a gun range, suggested it, and he was down. Truthfully, I was quite nervous about it. Not because I actually thought it was legitimately dangerous, but just because of the unknown. That nervousness started when we officially planned on visiting and slowly accelerated once we arrived, peaking before I took my first shot. Before we headed up to BTO, I called to confirm that we could just show up, rent a gun, buy bullets and shoot. Indeed we could. So we grabbed lunch and headed over. For a total newbie, I had no idea what to expect, but I did assume there would be an instructor helping us out every step of the way. It turned out, there was very little assistance and honestly, a shocking lack of oversight, considering I was yelling from the mountaintops that I'd never even touched a gun before. They didn't seem concerned enough to give us more than a quick overview and send us on our way. Fortunately, my friend had shot guns before, albeit many years ago, but at least he somewhat knew what he was doing. We declined to pay $75 per person for someone from the shop to stay with us and help the entire time. For those like me who are reading this as rookies, here's the biggest takeaway: the sound of these guns in the shooting bays is probably the loudest thing you will ever hear in your entire life. And this is with headphones on. I really never got used to how loud it was - it really was quite unnerving. Especially when I didn't know it was coming and someone in another bay started shooting. The kick back from the rifle we chose was very minimal. I always assumed that would be worse, but we purposely chose a gun where that wouldn't be an issue. It definitely feels insanely powerful. And it's not that easy to aim. I hit the paper with the targets with about 40-50% of my shots when it was only 25 yards away. One big takeaway from this experience is that anytime you see people in TV and movies using guns like it's no big deal, it's quite ridiculous. All in all, renting the bay for an hour and shooting about 150 bullets, our total was just under $200. I had absolutely no idea what to expect on the cost for this. If it had been $50 or $500, I wouldn't have been surprised, considering I had no frame of reference. Overall, it was a very unique experience that I won't ever forget. My only gripe is that the gun we used jammed up a lot, so we often had to stop, take the chamber out and un-jam the bullets. That could have been user-error on our part, or maybe the gun was just cheap, I'm not really sure.

Not to mention the prices are so solid. I had an idea from researching online about how much I'd spend; well I ended up spending almost half of what I thought. That was due to Nick helping me out, and the solid priced at ATS. I'll definitely refer to coworkers and friends, and I'll be back there soon I'm sure!
