But the town has a wonderful cafe that serves delicious breakfasts and lunches. If you plan to stay another night and want dinner the steakhouse is opened. Enjoy a lovely, quaint time here and go to the old town village, you'll find not much has changed. If you're Presbyterian, visit their encampment since 1926.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and a very rustic feel the owners have done a great job on the place. Gary and Paula, the managers, did a great job of making us feel at home. There isn't much around. We brought dinner with us (micro wave in room) and enjoyed dinner with a view after a nice swim in the pool. It has all the modern conveniences you could dream of, and yet still maintains the charm and integrity of being an antique home. Terry- the owner, is a wonderful host that isn't intrusive but adds his own charm to the place. With his eye for detail, and his passion for Abilene history, you can see it throughout the house.
