We liked the place . The staff was friendly and helpful . This park is level , clean , up on high ground and has some good spots with shade and a good cool breeze . It's not fancy but has what you need . Spaces are huge and long . Your not packed on top of each other . Like being at a state park but you have sewer at your side . I looked at two other places close by and they were dumps . There is no pool ? Also it's off of the interstate far enough you dont hear road noise in the trailer at all . I'll be back ! Two stars is fair but the $33 price is gouging. FTR, we owned a motel, rv park, diner and bar @the RV Park, so we know customers are first. This park is un-kept with no amenities. Saturday, we drove in from Lubbock and left two calls with no return calls to reserve a site. We went there and the 15x20 office was closed with no information , so we drove around and one of the campers told us to find a spot cuz the owner is not around on week-ends. Monday morning as we left 'no one at the office'. So, we drove away and kept calling to pay. Finally, my wife go ahold of Buck and gave him a credit card. She then went on to make suggestions. He cut her off and said lady, I've been doing this for a long time. Bottom line, not all RV Parks owners understand that the customer is their boss and pays the bills. Go somewhere else. read more

My husband and I were looking for a spot we could stay for one night that we were going to be in town for a track meet. We found this spot that looked to be the nicest by the pictures we saw online. Not to mention it was right down the street from ACU. We got in about 7:30 in the evening. We did not expect anyone to be there, however there was still nobody there at 8:00 the next morning to answer check out questions. We called the number provided to see if we could leave our camper in our reserved spot until about 1:00 that afternoon or if that was a problem, could we park it off to the side out of the way so we did not have to haul it to the track meet. We were informed check out was at 11. We asked if we could leave it there for a couple extra hours. We had no problem paying a little extra. We were then informed he had spots that were vacant but had some people coming in that evening but was unsure because he was dropping off his kids. He then proceeded to tell us that "it needed to go". The whole time we were on the phone with him he seemed annoyed he was having to speak with customers on a Saturday morning. He came across as someone who has a lot of long term campers and doesn't want to deal with the people who just need a spot for a few nights. He was a COMPLETE asshole and not helpful at all. Customer service is your business. If you don't want to deal with customers, it's time to find a new line of work. Stay somewhere else. read more

Excellent! Level, clean, many sites, many trees, you will like it!

Very basic but clean, wide and lo-o-o-ong spaces. This is the best feature of all. All sites are 150' long gravel pull throughs. Plenty of space between sites. We hate it when your awning almost touches the neighbors rig. Good water pressure. You may need a regulator. Two sewer hookups. I suppose to accomodate different RV layouts. Very thoughtful. Some shade, sort of. 10'-15' tall mesquite trees and other young trees. Grass, sort of. This is a dry area of Texas so a golf course lawn should not be expected-deal with it. No picnic table, fire ring, grill, pool, playground, dog walk, etc. My one complaint would be the $3 surcharge for 50amp service that was not disclosed until well into registration. It's only 3 bucks but left me with a feeling that they were being sneaky. We've never seen this before. I would suggest eliminating this surcharge. GPS warned of 1/2 mile dirt road but it was paved from highway to entrance. read more

OK place to park for the night. If you are not if a full fledged RV (i.e., looking for a picnic table, fire ring, or grill), this is not the place for you, because you wont find any of those. What you will find is easy access pull thrus, level sites, clean restrooms. You can still hear interstate noise even though it is probably 1/2 mile off of the interstate. There are some shady spots and grassy spots. All in all, it's an ok place to stay the night. read more

Wish there was an option for zero stars. I called this place to see if there was any camper spots available, the owner said that there was one available and gave me the spot number to pull into. When I arrived the spot was taken. I then called the owner to let him know, he said just pull into any empty spot. So I set up my camper and the next day while I was at work the owner came by my camper and told my wife that he had over booked and we would have to leave. My wife brought up that we had called ahead and said that we would be staying for a week, the owner said that there are three campers in route and they called before us and they could be here in 5 minutes or 5 hours so we need to leave immediately. When my wife told him I was at work he said that he has a business to run and I need to leave ASAP. When I arrived the owner was a complete asshole. If you are staying in the area save your time and money and just go half a mile down the road to Franklins RV Park. read more
