They don't do tastings in this room so we headed down the hill to the tasting room. We had a big group but the server was great at keeping up with the options that we wanted. The wine i got try was really good. The bride to be in our party ended up getting a couple bottles. We also got to sit and enjoy a glass. All the staff was really nice and helpful. These people create wine from scratch they lovingly processed wine and bottled their own wine. This is not a rebottled facility. This facility is amazing from the ground up and the wine had that old-school flavor like I was craving. When the ownership asked what they could do to make themselves different and I said absolutely nothing. The winner is exactly what it should be perfect in every way. Frankly, I was appalled at the event I attended for my daughters sorority. Everyone bought a $25 bottle of sweet or semi-sweet wine (that's this wineries specialty), dropped in a straw, and suckled their sippy cups. Their sweet wines are like wine coolers - and what college student doesn't like those? That should give context to the quality of wine and positioning of this space). Their traditional varietals all have sweet or fruit forward notes - Cabs are more like Pinots but lacking the depth and notes of a true spicy, bold cab. Past this, parking is like a festival, down a dirt road about a quarter mile walk from the front door. While I wouldn't return, it's a great place for an event and provides something unique to the area. And obviously the Greek system utilizes as a more sophisticated approach to the bars in Columbia.
