The staff was very friendly and was able to give me exactly what I needed. The keys worked perfectly. I have had keys made here before and they were also perfect; I've had to take keys made at Home Depot back for not working properly on more than one occasion. The book was Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. You register for the class and pay online. It is an easy process. You pick up the book before the class. You have a few weeks to read the book and then show up to the book club, where you discuss the book while making a craft. I love this concept. This was my dream night/class, getting to read a book and then craft while discussing it. There were about 8 people there and the instructor. Everyone was so kind and excited to be there and talk about the book. The craft was tote bags. We took acrylic paint and painted a bunch of books on there. There were so many creative designs.  The space at Musejar is wonderful. There is a separate entry for art classes and the store. The store has some super cool craft products, as well as a large selection of fiber items, and decor. It is inviting and warm and always decorated with the season or holiday. The art space is open, bright and has everything you need to make your project successful.

You can't miss this place! Located in Depew, it boasts a barn-like facade and a sizeable parking lot. Lots of spaces up front so taking your bottles and cans in is made even easier. Inside, it's eclectically decorated and full of fun knick-knacks, so you'll have plenty to look at while you wait. And the most surprising thing: it is pristinely clean! No nasty smells or gross sights. The employees here are top-notch, too. They are very kind and accommodating -- if you need any help bringing your cans in, they'll give you a hand. And they're super fast-moving as well. I could never keep the numbers straight in my head, so I give them props for being so good at mental math! It is located within the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Wadsworth and Pennsylvania. The entrance is on Wadsworth, but there is parking available via a driveway on Pennsylvania. Additionally, there is handicap access available. If needed, call from the parking lot and one of the volunteers will come to escort you to the code-required elevator. Okay. Now that we know where Serendipity can be found, what can we expect within? At least one serendipitous find. For instance, last Saturday my daughter, just prior to attending a graduation party, found a graduation card there, obviating the need to stop again to buy a card. That could not have been more serendipitous. Okay, okay. Imagine a thrift store and an antique store got married and had a baby. Serendipity? But, of course. You won't find clothing, as a rule. Not saying never, but Amvets and Buffalo City Mission have clothes. At Serendipity you will find collectibles of myriad types, books, jewelry, lamps, dinnerware, pottery, home décor, eclectic gifts. Perhaps a hat. Possibly a shawl. Books are nicely shelved and categorized. Every other thrift store I have been in could take a lesson. We'd never heard of this quaint little store, but we're so glad we took the time to come in. Here's why. When you first walk in, you see a lot of Christmas gifts and decorations. Don't let that fool you though, there's something for everyone here. The store is so nicely decorated that I almost said "awww." The owner was right there at the counter with another employee, chatting about the Bills game. She greeted us warmly as we started to look around. There were a lot of neat gifts, clothing, and accessories in the front, center, and back of the store. They even had some witchy items, which is right up my alley. Their sale section has a lot of really nice clothes in it. My cousin bought a jacket and dress, which made the owner take notice. She was wearing the same dress my cousin had bought! I got a moon phase candle and a pretty headband. See? There're a lot of different products here! The owner talked to us for a bit before we left and she was really sweet. I'd definitely come back here, especially since she stocks a lot of things made by local artisans. This shop is so cute and stylish at the same time. I was greeted by three friendly ladies who gave me several goodies including a coupon for 20% off any single item purchase. Upon browsing, I saw lots of cute unique items (all products are made by Buffalo small businesses, love keeping it local) but the Buffalo earrings really caught my eye! My free swag bag also came with a bath bomb, lip scrub, matcha tea candy, chocolate chip cookies and even a $10 off coupon to dinner at the nearby Eagle House.
