After purchasing a quality, heavy gauge telescoping flagpole, I needed a strong base for mounting…read moreit on top of our concrete in our backyard. Now, for all the inexperienced and "nay-sayers" out there - I successfully installed this flagpole on top of a solid concrete pad (6+ in. thick) as pictured. I almost ordered another brand deck mount for telescoping flagpoles, but after more research I found a comparable and less expensive "Dock Mount for Telescopic Flagpole" (3 iin. O.D.), thru "Ace Flag & Visual Promotions" out of Depew, N.Y. Their customer service was awesome, very friendly and very helpful! I installed the Dock Mount with four "Parawedge" 3/8" x 3-3/4" concrete anchors from Home Depot. (Be sure the drill w/masonry drill bit is held as vertically straight as possible while drilling!) Directions call for min. 2 3/8" depth of hole but recommend adding ¼" to that depth, making sure to completely cleaning out holes after drilling, by blowing in them with a baster type squeeze tube, small rubber tube or even a bent straw. I did have to lightly tap the threaded studs left or right after installing them for a better fit of the base plate. I also recommend applying a corrosion inhibitor and lubricant spray to the entire telescoping pole sections which not only protects but helps in smoother movement. I also treated the studs and nuts since they are only galvanized steel and exposed to the elements. Since installation over a week ago, the flagpole and mounting base have withstood several days of very brisk winds here in southern California! Very pleased with both!

They cashed me out and said "We're shaving a bit off because it took a little less time." Who does that? Only a small business with a big heart who cares about their customers... That's who. Not only was the work done with excellence but they were friendly and helpful and I'll be telling this story for a long time to come.

I had to wait days/weeks for updates, and would only get them if I asked and nagged. I was never given a contract or summary of sale before my sign was installed AT THE WRONG LOCATION. The vendor took 5 weeks to move it to the right location and while I understand that winter in Buffalo causes some wait time, moving a customer's sign to the correct location would have been my top priority. When I requested that the installation fee be dropped or at the very least discounted the vendor put the blame back on me because "Obviously, we didn't pick up on the change in the body of the email and at the side of the picture."--direct quote from an email correspondence. Reading emails on your phone, or just lack of attention to detail is not the customer's fault. When my invoice arrived with the (much fought for reduced installation fee) there was a note saying "customer refused to pay total amount." I'm horrified that this company tried to shame me for expecting better service than I received.

I wanted a conference poster on fabric so that I could fold it in my luggage without permanent creasing; instead it was done on material resembling wallpaper. I had to fold cautiously in my luggage and spend a bunch of time minimizing creases. I asked for unlaminated business cards; I expected cardstock. Instead I got shiny stock and was told it was unlaminated. Fortunately some ball points can write on the card; which was my intention. I was basically told "do you want it?". I didn't have time to try to find something else at that point. No offer of a discount, just basically take it or leave it. Next time I will find someone who will show me a sample and can do it right.
