I think it is our new auto go-to place for most any automobile needs. I took Lynette's car in for an inspection this morning. She knew it was going to need at least one tire (it needed two) and that the wipers were starting to shred. But there was also a clunk that two other places had not been able to locate the problem, and two days ago the hood latch had broken. Max and the crew did it all. Marylou at the service counter provided friendly and courteous interaction and information. Sammy's began on Tupper St. in 1955 and has been on Niagara St. for the past 20 years. They do collision, towing, inspections, mechanics ...and hood latch repair. The clunk? "Over certain bumps or potholes, the exhaust pipe had been hitting the drive shaft." They were able to bend the pipe enough to keep that from happening. Thank you, Sammy's Auto Center!

Having done a Yelp event about car detailing I had knowledge and expectations of how the car should be cleaned inside. And my car has been making trips back and forth to Pittsburgh so it really needed a good cleaning. But it wasn't in the category of dirty car horror stories that the car detailer described by any stretch. As I was taught by the zoom program I emptied the entire car of everything before it was taken in for cleaning. I also left all the hidden and not hidden cup holders and compartments open to make sure that they were given the best possible opportunity to get the car as clean as possible. The most important part was the space between the console and the seat. That skinny space you drop things in but can't fit your hand in to clean it up. And of course underneath the seats where the stuff that fell between seat and the console rolled. How did it turn out? Well it was returned to me at about 6:30 at night. It looked good but let me say that I did find a French fry underneath the drivers side seat. They left instructions to leave the windows cracked to let the car dry out. That's not an option if you don't have a garage that locks or a garage at all. Nor should the car be that wet. But in any case I wasn't going to be able to open the windows till this morning. When I got in the car this morning, I thought that I needed to turn on the windshield wipers because the windows were covered in dew or rain. But in fact that rain was on the inside of the car. The windows were so wet in fact that my inspection sticker was soaked and coming off the window and I couldn't drive at all. Even trying to drive wasn't possible with the defrosters on full blast and Kleenex to dry the front window. I had to wait in the driveway for some time till I could get going. When I returned from my errands I took my mats out of the plastic bag and put them on the driveway to dry and left the windows open to dry. I sincerely hope it doesn't rain in my car tomorrow. Overall they did a good job but there shouldn't have been any French fries under anything and the car should definitely have been dryer. What machine are they missing that they should have that would make it possible to have a dry car? They definitely need to invest in that machine.

I paid for a Super Kiss Plus plan and come to find out that Delta Sonic has been doing a basic wash…read moreon my car all winter. The basic wash uses a neoprene brush, that and along with their recycled water that is full of abrasive elements after washing multiple cars all day, has left scratches along both sides of my brand new 2026 vehicle. Delta Sonic's area manager Dave was very rude accused me of lying about the damages and the brush causing the damages. He refused to look up camera footage from February, March and April to prove that yes they did use those blue round neoprene brushes on my vehicle even though that was not in my plan. He reprimanded me for having less than 7,000 miles on my vehicle and told me that is a lot of miles for a new vehicle and that is where my scratches came from. I told him I live in the country and work in Buffalo so yes I have miles from driving back and forth to work every day and that would not cause parallel buff lines with scratches that trail along both sides of my vehicle. The only thing my vehicle was squeezed through since I got it was those blue neoprene brushes that should've never been used in the first place because I wasn't supposed to be getting a basic wash. I paid for a super kiss plus plan. So therefore not only did they damage my car they were charging me for a super kiss plus plan and only giving me a basic wash all winter.

My car was overdue for an interior clean from my dogs and I knew that I wouldn't be able to clean it as good as it should be, especially due to the pet hair. I went online and was able to book it very quickly. I was able to pick the date and time. They offer 8 am or 1 pm. I took the 8 am, especially as it was summer and knew it would be cooler for them to work. I was pleasantly surprised when I started getting texts that morning on the status of their arrival. It was like I was getting an Instacart delivery! They were on-time to the minute, very polite, and answered all my questions. I knew the work that was ahead for them and felt bad, but also knew they had the right tools to clean the car correctly. About 3.5 hours later, they told me they were about done if I wanted to take a look and review. I had seen videos online of their work and in hindsight, I wish I could supply before and after pictures.
