an empty street in a small town

First I hate giving three stars I'm right on the line of 3 to 4 the food was okay, it's more of a local place and has good reviews so I'm from out of town and I go in knowing that they close around 2 or so I thought more of a breakfast place and I walk up give them my order and they tell me that they are not serving breakfast and I would have to choose from other options so okay I'm easy I get a burrito as I'm setting down I noticed the table next to me they have just gotten their whole meal of breakfast!!!! What the Heck and it's just what I wanted Dam! O well then I got my burrito and it was a breakfast burrito yes a breakfast burrito.

Stop what you're doing and come to Buenos Dias. We had an incredible breakfast here. I had the sunrise which was a hash browns pressed into a waffle maker.. covered in sausage and gravy and then topped with... two sunny side up eggs .. drool... it was so incredible that I want to make the drive from Dallas to here just to eat it.. my husband and mom had the chicken and waffles and they both raved it was the best they had ever had.. the staff is so delightful and the decor is so warm and cheery! Two thumbs up!

    Super cute little place

Omg. Y'all. This food. We literally ate Anouilh to feed several people. But it was so good!!! The little place is spic and span clean. The people were some of the friendliest ever. They have a cute little coffee spot. If this place wasn't 8 hours from my house I'd be a regular.

Breakfast Burrito (A veg friendly version: potato, mushroom, bell pepper, onion. Avocado added. Perfect.)

Excellent Mexican and American breakfast. The guy custom made my order no problem. Sort of a fun eclectic place. Clean and fun.

Upon entering, the friendly girl at the counter was occupied, and one of the bakers and possibly owners came out to take care of me so I wouldn't have to wait! Talk about awesome customer service. Plenty of poptarts, cupcakes, etc. to pick from. I chose the Very Berry Strawberry and Snickers Cupcake. I do t want to embellish or over do it... but I'm not kidding when I say these may be the best 2 d@@n cupcakes I have ever had!!! They explode with flavor in your mouth. The strawberry was vivid, the sweet but not overly sweet, the cake and the cream were extremely creamy and moist! The Snickers cupcakes.... Jesus took the wheel on this one, lol. It's insanely good. Little sweeter than the Strawberry but so tasty! The frosting again was perfect in consistency. The flavor of caramel, Snickers, and I think a little peanut butter absolutely lights up your taste buds!!!! If you are in Amarillo...heck Texas hah....you need to make a pitstop here and try these cupcakes. It is so clear why they won Cup Cake Wars. Absolutely fantastic....and the best part, they kept their prices reasonable at $2.85!!!!!

Auntie Lisa's Hawaiian Aloha Kitchen is a must if you live or are ever near Canyon/Amarillo,…read moreTX...really anywhere! The moon's over my spammy, if I remember the name correctly, is super bomb! It's a fried Spam Egg & Cheese Sandwich with Hawaiian donut bread...sounds wild but it was out of this world. Definitely different but I did not regret trying it. I know spam isn't everyone's favorite (my wife usually avoids it), but we both now swear by this sandwich. It's a must-try!!! We also had the steak fingers, katsu style, with rice and Mac salad, made with the all-natural Rancher's meat from the storefront. You can taste the quality in every bite. To top it all off, Auntie surprised us with refreshing orange and mango shaved ice... the perfect treat on a hot day. We sat in the shade with our pup, soaking in the beautiful Canyon weather, enjoying some great conversation from Auntie Lisa (who is an amazing person), learning a little about the "Big Island", and of course savoring some of that incredible authentic Hawaiian food. Auntie Lisa's isn't just a meal... it's an experience. We'll definitely be back every time we are anywhere near Canyon, TX!

So I went back a week later and tried the Kalua Pork plate with nachos. It was delicious. It's been so long since I've had the opportunity to eat Hawaiian food! I've eaten it in San Diego, Arizona and Austin but there never was any in Amarillo until now. I came back today and just had to try the musubi. I'm not even that crazy about spam but it was so good! Rice and spam and seasonings inside nori. Yum! I made sure that I got here before 10:30 so I could try the breakfast but I was so full from one musubi I was only able to eat about half the breakfast. I'll save the rest till tomorrow. Breakfast is $5.75 for a full container of rice, scrambled eggs, Kahlua pork, optional green onions and sauce. That will be my breakfast tomorrow unless I get hungry and eat it tonight. The musubi was so good I bought two to take home along with two Kahlua pork sliders and that will be dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. My total bill was about $20 with tax and tip and should make about three meals for me. The ladies who run this place are a mother and daughter team, as nice as can be! They are super friendly to everyone who walks in and customers are greeted with an Aloha. You'll hear them say Mahalo a lot also. They are very attentive and appreciative to their customers. Everything is neat and super clean. They are located inside the Collective from 6th building along I-40 on the north side. It was only about a 10 minute drive or so for me from 40 and Coulter. Their hours as of this writing are 6:00 a.m. to 6 pm Thursday Friday and Saturday. 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday when they have a brunch menu and serve breakfast foods all day. One of their specialties is waffles. I don't eat waffles real often so I haven't tried them yet but I will eventually. They have a different flavor every day. They also have different specials everyday. I'm including a picture of the specials board but not all foods are available everyday. They have a Facebook page that I think will list what the specials are for each day or you could call them. I heard people raving about the waffles both times I was sitting and eating. If the parking lot should look full you can pull around to the right side of the building as you approach it and there's the door on that side that leads directly into their place. I parked there today and it was a much shorter walk but I got here early so the parking lot might fill up later. I highly recommend this place! Quality food, quality atmosphere, great service and very clean. A perfect combination.

For lunch during one of my days visiting Amarillo, I tried Yellow City Street Food off Wolflin. Inside, the space is cute. They have yellow chairs, pink walls, and cool artwork scattered throughout. When we ordered, the server was very helpful with recommendations and helped us land on what we ultimately chose. They also have a chef's daily special that rotates every day, and you never really know what he could be cooking up. The day we went, the special was Pad Kee Mao, which my girlfriend ordered with their fried tofu. As for me, I got their tacos. The first was their Hulk with jerk chicken, cotija, pineapple, and more, and the second was their Al Pastor with pork, crema, chile rojo, and more. Both came out looking fantastic and were absolutely crushed by me. One thing I noticed on their menu is their vast selection of vegan options. Most meat options usually have a vegan alternative with a specific replacement for the meat. For the Hulk, it's chickn soy curls, and for the Al Pastor, they use jackfruit. It's super innovative and very welcoming to vegan and vegetarian diners. I really like this approach instead of throwing the same meat substitute on everything. Knowing what works best with each dish can really make or break it. We also ordered a side of their Salt and Pepper Fries to share, which were well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed the pepper seasoning on these quite a bit. To drink, we tried their blueberry pomegranate tea, which was delicious. I really liked my food here and, of all the places I tried in Amarillo, I would say this is definitely one of the best. It's unique without overdoing it, and you'll leave with a good meal in your stomach if you give them a shot. RIYL: Tacos, burgers, or honestly just about anything. They've got it all here.

I had the imposter with breaded mushrooms. Super crispy Cremini mushrooms with great crunch but the rest was kinda meh, romaine and drizzle of sauce and balsamic. At least with the pickled onions there was a little palate tease. Also tried the Al pastor with jackfruit. Opted for this version on a salad and it's a whopping serving size. Hearty serving of jackfruit with plenty of sauce and dressing. Had nice little nibs of some crunch too. Service was super, super nice. I'd call the inside dive-ish. Totally relaxed and chill ambiance. I'll be back to try more items! My one dislike was that I don't care for the balsamic drizzle on either dish... just doesn't pair well with these flavors. Side of pineapple was yummy to balance the heaviness of both dishes.
