We enrolled our son last minute when family was no longer an option. As a first time parent I was a little anxious enrolling my son to daycare and looking back at my experience the whole team did a great job easing my mind. My son attended kinder care for 2 1/2 years. My daughter went went here for about 2 years. The teachers/care takers are absolute amazing! Ms Cindy, amazing! Ms Becca, amazing! Ms Maria, amazing! The whole staff is just amazing. The kids have tons of activities to do and every week is different. I love how you get pictures and videos of your kids throughout the day. The facility is clean and well taken care of. I love how there's a security guard there and key code door access. The reason why I took off two stars is because of the meals that they provide specifically when they become 2 years old. It felt like every other day they were feeding the kids beans and salad. BEANS AND SALAD. We spoke to the district director (I think her name was Lisa) about this and she said it was in line with a "healthy and full meal." I don't know about you but I would never want to feed my kid beans and lettuce as a meal. On top of that, getting protein such as chicken, fish or meat was really rare. I think a whole month you they would receive 5 chicken dishes. A lot of bean dishes and a lot of canned fruit. Paying $1500 a month I expect better meals. We ended up leaving to a different daycare and things are a lot better and the likelihood of us coming back is close to never. read more

This place is probably the best Kindercare in the area! We were at another location and transferred to this one and loved it!! Ms. Jasmin, who is the Director, is amazing and is so kind. My daughter's teachers, Ms, McKenzie and Ms. Marilia are so caring and patient. Every time I pick up my daughter she is always smiling and happy. You can tell that the staff here love what they do and that it is more than a job for them. The Center is also very clean and modern. The classrooms are large, airy, with floor to ceiling windows. There is even an onsite chef that provides all meals! We are so happy that we found a place for our daughter to learn and grow for a long time! read more

I wanted to share my current experience at Buena Park Kindercare. I am a first time mom to a 22 month old. As a first time mom you can't help but to consider different scenarios and reservations about the place you will send your child apart from you. I initially went in a tough critic but decided to give the school a try. Day 1 was tough for me but something I love about this school that helped me get thru the day was the photos and videos I received throughout the day thru the Kindercare app. The app also informs you on how your child did with lunch and snack, changing schedules, and the activities they did which is an amazing feature to have for parents. My sons current teachers are ms McKenzie and ms marialla. I love his little classroom, they also do a great job at sustaining a good level of cleanliness in the classroom. My son took well to them in such a short period of time I was actually surprised. It takes him time to get comfortable around others other then immediate family. This was a good sign to me and also gave me a peace of mind. I could tell that his teachers are great nurtures by his behaviors and how well he takes to them. My son hasn't even been here a full month and I'm already recognizing more of a sense of independence at home and him doing so much better in certain social settings. At this very moment I'm glad I decided to give this school a try. I really am grateful for his amazing teachers and the cool little activities they do on a day to day. It's really impacting my son in a positive way. I'm actually a little sad that my son will be leaving this classroom soon, as he's approaching 2. His current teachers are truly awesome. read more

( This complaint is about after noon class most recently with the lack staffing, the morning are awesome I really enjoy my morning drop off with Bassema who is a amazing teacher and my son loves her.) I never had a issue with afternoon pickups with Mrs T and Mrs Maria they do a great job taking care of our son. I can't even began how upset. And disappointed I am with this school. My wife picked up our 2 year old son who is leaning potty training which I understand accidents will happen from time to time while our child is learning to use the bathroom. My major issue was yesterday with this new teacher Mrs Devon (never met this person nor introduced herself to my wife) what really was upsetting was hearing how upset my son was which we never experienced him ever being so upset were he was on the ground crying hysterically we're it took some time to calm him down and console him to a some what normal state. It was so upsetting on how this teacher "Mrs Devon" can sit in the corner of the room ignoring my sons needs and completely ignoring the other children's needs, my wife described that the room was in complete chaos with kids screaming and causing a muck. I don't understand how any human being can sit back and ignore any child who is screaming for help. When my wife approach Mrs Devon and ask what is going on she was extremely rude and being very caddy with my wife in a very rude matter. Saying there's nothing wrong he was just upset and he just peed himself. So my wife had to take matter in her own hands and clean up are son an remove the saturated, urine clothing from our son were the pants began to crust and stick to his leg which tells me that he was sitting in his own urine for some time. This is a HUGE REFLECTION ON POOR LEADERSHIP!!!!! This peer negligence on not taking proper care or making sure that substitute teacher is equipped to manger there classroom and make sure they are qualified like the other staff members. I really hope this school and get there act together lately this has been a very horrible experience in the afternoon pick ups in these last few weeks and yesterday was the final straw. Originally, I had enrolled my then 2 year old daughter at the Long Beach kinderCare. Instantly I fell in love with the company and after relocating to Buena ParK I enrolled my daughter at this center. It was a big difference- a good difference! This center felt more like home and less like a "center". The teachers are very sweet and welcoming. They are attentive and understanding and strive for the best! My daughter was very happy and looked forward to school everyday. She did not mind the long hours she spent there at all! 9 months later baby #2 came along and I did not think twice about enrolling him here. Teachers here LOVE him! I was nervous for them, since I knew he would be a handful but they were quick to adapt to his schedule and help with much needed advice and suggestions. My daughter, now 5, is moving on to public kindergarten. Although we'll all be very sad she won't continue with the kinderCare family, I'm glad that my son will experience the same love and attention the staff at kinderCare gave my daughter. Our son has been going to Kinder Care for 3 months now and we are so happy with the care he gets here! He is with Ms. Sandy and Ms. Jasmynn and they go above and beyond for all the children. We went through a rough patch at the beginning with him biting and they were so gracious with him and us. I was also worried about his speech and since starting he has learned at least 10 words. I drop him off pretty early and Mrs Sung is so sweet during breakfast time. I love the crafts they do in the classroom and they have special events like book exchanges, spirit week and a Halloween costume parade. The school is so safe with a code to get in. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Another daycare I visited only had 4 books in their class library and the pages were falling out, no artwork on the walls etc. We were planning on having him stay for a year until he's old enough for preschool but now we will keep him there longer. He's only 1 1/2 and loves going to school. He says "cool" at home to tell us he is ready to go to. read more

My son was at KinderCare for no more than 2 months. If you like to research the childcare establishments before enrolling your child, please take the time to read my experience. I visited KinderCare twice before enrolling. Something did not feel completely right but they were organized and seemed well-ran so I went with them despite hesitation. The first incident was when my son came home and let me know a teacher screamed at him to get off a chair. Miss Rosa has a demeanor which coincides with this accusation and so I remained mindful of his experience but did not take action. The following week Rosa approaches me to tell me my son was kicking the chair on the way to a field trip and that she needed to pull over to move him. She said I needed to talk to him about being "obdient". Obdience is for dogs, not children and as such- I do not use that word in regards to my child. . I felt that she could have handled the situation better and had more insight to not seat two 5 year olds next to each other when there were plenty of older children in this class. But okay, let's move forward. The second incident was with regards to payment. In my experience, KinderCare overcharges what they state is the price of tuition. I was using a subsidized program to pay for part of the cost and KinderCare demanded more payment from me than what was on the contract. For over a month, they sent invoices and even charged me a late fee! I contacted them several times, contaced KinderCare Corp, contacted the subsidizing agency to ask for assistance in getting KinderCare up to speed and STILL, they insisted on charging me more than what was agreed upon. I had to take time off of work to finally get the situation rectified. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. So now I'm probably about 3-5 weeks in when I start to see that there's only 1 teacher in my sons class of over 20 kids. They said the ratio was 1:12. No surprise they received a licensing infraction due to lack of supervision which resulted in a toddler being bit TWICE by another child. This was extremely alarming. Lastly, there's the assistant director: Renee. I walked in one morning with my son to see Renee SCREAMING at a girl about 8-9 years old who was cowered in a corner. I could not make out what was happening but I was scared to leave my son that day. We moved on, knowing our time here was limited. Until one day, Renee calls me and leaves a message stating I have one hour to get down there and sign a paper or they're charging me the full tuition although I'm contracted with a subsidizing service. ONE HOUR. So I call back and let her know that's not possible- I need more than an hours notice and I let the staff know we were on vacation this day so I wasn't even near KinderCare. She responds with rudeness, pompousness and unprofessionalism in saying that I would now be responsible for additional fees, her calling me was a courtesy, she didn't need to do this, it wasn't her job etc etc. The next day I go in to sign the paper and she is again, catty and unprofessional. So I asked her, what's going on. Her response was that she was doing me a favor by calling me and that she didn't need to do that. She continued on to state that I'd be responsible for all the fees and so forth, even though I'd gone as far as taking time off work to fix KinderCare's error on the financial standpoint. I would not have enrolled my son had I known how catty and unprofessional the administration is. The staff clearly sit and gossip amongst each other as can be witnessed often, in the office and classrooms. Overall my experience was not a good one. I did as much research as I could before hand and if there was anyone who experienced what I did, I wish they would have written about it and saved me the anxiety of dealing with KinderCare. Overall, unprofessional, rude, catty and irresponsible. Staff do not know how to properly care for the kids nor how to even complete paperwork correctly to avoid overcharging parents. Save yourself the headache and keep looking. read more

this review is long overdue. my daughter has been coming here for about 5 months now. I am a first time parent, and of course hyper-protective of my daughter. when I started to realize that it was time for her to go into daycare, I looked at many places. my wife and I were referred to kindercare by one of her friends. this. place. is. the. best. my daughter is in their discovery program (2-3 y/o), and I cannot say how much I am grateful for everything they have done for us, and how well my daughter is treated/taught. every day I pick her up, she has a noticeable increase in her social interactions with EVERYONE. the teacher there (Miss Bassima, sorry if I killed the spelling) is such a wonderful person to everyone, and my daughter cares for her so much, which is surprising because she is a paranoid little girl LOL! Also, my wife and I are both nurses, so we are very weary of odd smells/disorganization. this daycare is extremely well kept, smells good (I think bananas most of the time?), and the rooms/play areas are all well maintained and organized. I also love seeing the staff handing out food with gloves on that are changed regularly (been there and seen it myself!). daycare is like your home: it should be almost the way you would want your home to be. KinderCare is that for me, and I hope that it would be a good fit for you, if you are reading this trying to find a new daycare for your little one. read more

I'm a first time mom and looking for daycare was a very difficult process. Especially putting trust in someone else to watch your baby. My son Mason started daycare at 4.5 months and I have seen a huge transformation in his developmental social and motor skills now that he's almost 7 months. The teachers take a lot of time to work with each infant and customize the schedule to work with each child. Ms. Ronda is just fantastic in her support of our child. Mason's other teachers Ms. Diana, Basema, and Mahalia are also all really good with him. The hours (6:30-6:30) are also much more accommodating in comparison to other daycares', especially since my husband and I work full time. Mason comes home smiling and always happy. Nice staff, pricy, but I know my daughter is taken care of. I wish is was not so pricy. We had to take our daughter here after we found out my father had cancer and they were not going to be able to babysit. She was about 3 months old. She is now 1 year old and I feel is more socially advanced and than if she hadn't gone. KinderCare was the only daycare that would take my daughter on a part-time schedule of Monday and Wednesday. All other daycare solutions had to be full time. So this is why I think KinderCare is great. Also, in the infant care area, Miss Amber and Miss Varsha are great and I feel completely comfortable with them taking care of our little angel. read more

We give it 5 stars, but because of the cost to send your child here is pricey. Our daughter has been going here since she was 2 and is more advance than others her age. We sent her here because of the good security, meals, and program. We did visit other schools and sometimes we would see kids playing unsupervised and there wasn't any type of security system. If you are unable to pick up your child and need to send someone else to pick them up, you do need to inform them otherwise they will call one of the parents to confirm who is picking up the child. We have had someone else other than ourselves pick our daughter up and had no problems. We always tell them in advance. We make sure to inform her teacher and the Director or Asst. Director of the center. They take children from 6 mo. to school age. They work really well with all the kids. Any concerns you may have they will address. We were thankful they did potty train. By the time they go into the 3's class they will need to be potty trained. The 2's teachers will have them ready way before then. Remember it is a team effort so PARENTS you need to work with them. I would like to comment on another reviewer. She said her child did not get any water or food on a hot day is 99.9% an exaggeration. My child has never had any issues with not being given water or food. If it is such a hot day the kids stay in air condition rooms and if it is too cold they stay inside. Whenever we drop our child off the food cart is out serving the kids. Also I have brought my child late and asked them if they could give her a snack and that was not a problem. I have also walked in on them at lunch and on their 2nd snack time and had seen no issues. So you can take that persons review with a grain of salt! They do quarter reviews with the parents about your Childs progress in person or over the phone! Kids do get time outs when they are not behaving and if another child has had any physical contact with another child the parents are called and given a written statement from the school explaining what happened. Remind you these are small children that may hit, bite or throw objects at one another. This usually just happens with the 2 yr olds since they are still learning to share. Kindercare does offer a summer camp program. Our daughter loves it, especially when it's splash day! The have the whole summer planned out with field trips (school age only), exploring, crafting, special guest, lunch parties, and splash time. For splash time there are no pools just water buckets and silly sprinkler. All kids need to wear their swim suits under their clothes and have on water shoes so they don't slip. If you are interested in the school they have open houses and will do private tours if you are interested. Like I said, the school is pricey but well worth it. Some jobs may qualify you for a discount. Good education, good meal times, fun, and the workers here really care about each child. read more

I couldn't be happier in choosing this center to provide education and care for my two little ones. We've been here for 4 months now and my children are learning so much educationally. Within the first two weeks of starting, my 2 yr old was potty trained and off diapers completely by Ms. Basema. All the teachers and staff are very friendly and caring, not only towards the parents but especially the children they are caring for. As a teacher myself I tend to value not only academia portion but environmental climate as a whole. The front office staff were always visually present and helpful. The teachers always seem to have their lesson plan themes well planned out and executed. Our son has flourished in more ways than one. They didn't give my toddler food or drink every day, the WHOLE DAY. I was taken aback and horrified when I found out. It turns out that their policy is that if a child refused food during the designated 20 minute lunch or short snack time, then they refuse to feed the child or allow the child to drink. I was wondering why my son's skin had become like sandpaper, why his mouth was incredibly dry like it wasn't wet, and why he was begging for food and water as soon as I picked him up everyday. My poor child was abused by the workers who didn't 'tolerate his behavior.' He was soooo unhappy here. I put him in another school, and he was fine. read more

I am writing this review because I searched endlessly for reviews from others before deciding where to send my daughter for daycare. After all my research we did send her to the Buena Park Kindercare and could not have been happier with our decision. This is her last week there because I am having another baby and am going to be staying home. She is 2 years old and I know that she will miss going to "school" so much. I can confidently call it "school" because she has learned so much there. Her teachers from rooms 1 and 2 were wonderful! It is a comfort to havce your child come home and say how nice her teachers are. I could genuinely tell that they loved her. The management was flexible with our changing schedule and was a pleasure to work with. As a KinderCare parent I want to share my story with existing families or new incoming families. I will eventually mention the whole center itself, but I would like to start by writing about the teacher of my 2yr old daughter. Let me introduce you to her. Her name is MRS.BASEMA. She is such a wonderful teacher but better yet an amazing person. She teaches and cares for each and every child as if they were her very own. She is highly passionate about her career and I am highly thankful and blessed that she is my daughters teacher. So to begin, when my daughter started with Mrs. Basema she was 2yrs and 2mths old. My daughter had previously been screened for autism 3times due to her age and her not being able to say no more than 2 words She would communicate via pointing, noises or leading you to where she wanted. I told Mrs. Basema this on my daughters very first day of class and she told me "Mommy, I promise you everything will be ok and you will see, your daughter will come very far in a short amount of time" I looked at her and said "I hope so" She then proceeded to take my daughter from my arms as I had to go to work. The way she hugged my daughter and spoke to her and comforted her made me feel that my daughter would be safe and well cared for. Two weeks into my daughter being their Mrs. Basema said to me "Mommy, is it ok with you if I potty train your daughter?" I said "Oh yes! that would be amazing!" Just a month into my daughter being their she is FULLY potty trained! She FULLY potty trained her in just 2 weeks! now fast forwarding my daughter is now 2yrs and 6mths, which means she has been with the same teacher for ONLY 4 months. Let me tell you she had taught me daughter so much and brought her so far in so little time that I am amazed. My daughter now counts to 20 knows all her ABC's and the sound of each letter (ex... A is for apple, Ah Ah apple) My daughter now sings all kinds or nursery rhymes and songs (lets remember when my daughter started she was non-verbal) My daughter is now a little chatter box and communicates with others & interacts with others. It fills my heart and my families hearts with thankfulness because we feel like this teacher has gone above and beyond in an amazing way for my daughter. Mrs. Basema from the bottom of my heart Thank You for teaching, caring, leading, but most of all Thank you For treating my daughter as if she were your very own child. You are the best thing that could have happened in our daughters life (as far and her education) And in our life as her parents and family. You kept that promise you made to me on day one that she would come very far in very little time. You are the best teacher I have ever met in my life, you are so passionate about your career and your now job. His teacher Ms. Jessica makes him feel comfortable and he truly enjoys being in her classroom, he has nothing but wonders to say about her. Moving on to my 4yr old child. He is in the preschool classroom with Ms. Rosa, Ms. Isabella & Ms. Heather & he absolutely adores with all his heart his three teachers. Everyday he learns something new and everyday he comes home to share with me how his day went. What makes me the happiest is to hear him say how much he loves his teachers and how happy he is to be in their class room. Finally my 2 yr old child who is in the Discovery Pre-School classroom with Mrs. Basema & Mrs. Brenda. My daughter was 2yrs and 2mths when she started with these two teachers and now she is 2yrs and 6mths. So in a period of just four months my daughter has come so far in her all around education that as a parent I feel truly blessed that my daughter is in their classroom. She has com so afr in just four months that it fills my heart with nothing but love and appreciation for her two teachers. I am a single mom and child care is essential. I need to feel comfortable and confident that my children are safe and happy while I am away at work. I came to kinder care when my now nineteen year old was 5 and now I am back again same location years later with my 6 year old son for the summer program. I was thrilled to see an old staff member from when my oldest daughter came here! The Staff here is hands down amazing,friendly and high energy. I am so amazed how everyone here displays a sunny disposition from the morning till I return 9 hours later. I am so grateful to them that everyday that I pick up my son he is smiling and happy.
