I am sharing my experience with Kiddie Academy of Buena Park because I believe parents deserve to…read moreknow how a serious incident involving my 10-month-old son was handled-- by HR and Corporate! I do want to start off by saying Ms. Karla and Mrs. Jasmine in the office as well as many of the other teachers were amazing in the almost 4 years that my other children attended. Up until my youngest son started at Kiddie Academy I loved the school, referred people to the school and spoke so highly of it but after this incident and how HR and Corporate are handling it, it's extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. On July 2, 2026, an incident occurred between my infant son and an employee. Management reviewed surveillance footage of the incident, and the employee was subsequently removed from the classroom and terminated. Based on what I witnessed myself and what was communicated to me regarding the footage, the incident involved the employee flicking my son's in the nose, smacking his arm which made him scream and cry and flicking remaining water from her hands into his face after washing her hands. I reported the matter to Community Care Licensing and the Buena Park Police Department. One of my biggest concerns has been the handling of the surveillance footage. I specifically requested that the footage be preserved because it documented what happened to my son. I was later informed that the surveillance system automatically overwrites footage after approximately four days and that the footage was no longer available. I have repeatedly asked why footage involving an incident serious enough to result in an employee's termination was not preserved, particularly after I requested that it be saved. I have not received an explanation. I have also repeatedly requested complete written documentation regarding the incident. After more than two months of requests my emails went unread and phone calls and voicemails never answered or called back. I finally emailed again stating all the violations they were violating by keeping this information from me and sure enough I received an report that was not filled out correctly. In my opinion, the report did not adequately document what management had observed on the surveillance footage. Instead of describing the specific actions involving my son, the report stated that the "employee was terminated for not follow Kiddie Academy policies and procedures" and stated nothing else. I've emailed them again asking for a corrected report and again have been left without a response! I have also raised concerns about discrepancies between what I was told occurred and information provided in connection with the Community Care Licensing investigation. I have repeatedly requested clarification regarding those discrepancies. Throughout this process, I have sent multiple emails, made phone calls, and contacted HR and corporate seeking answers and documentation concerning my own child. Many of my questions have gone unanswered, and I have experienced significant difficulty obtaining responses. What concerns me most as a parent is the lack of transparency and communication after such a serious incident involving an infant who could not speak for himself. I am sharing my personal experience and the events as they were communicated to me and documented through my communications with the HR, corporate, law enforcement, and Community Care Licensing. Parents considering this facility may want to ask specific questions about: * How long surveillance footage is retained * Under what circumstances footage involving a serious incident is preserved * How incidents involving employees are documented * What information is reported to Community Care Licensing * What documentation parents receive when an incident involves their child * How HR and corporate communicate with families after a serious incident And what are they doing to protect our children. I trusted this facility with my infant son. After what occurred, I expected transparency, accurate documentation, preservation of relevant information, and timely communication. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I have made numerous attempts to address these concerns privately before posting publicly. I am sharing my experience now because I believe other parents have the right to ask these questions and make informed decisions about who they trust to care for their children.

They were truly the most amazing group of people we'd ever met. Lynda really cares about the kids and only wants what's best for every child she cares for. My son thrived during the two years he attended, and he loved Lynda, the kids, and of course the lunches (he was so well fed at daycare he hardly ate at home during the weekdays). Lynda believes in each child's potential and makes sure they're on track with their milestones and so much more. She caters to each child's needs and really cares about setting them up to succeed at whatever it is that they're put through. She is very communicative with parents and empathetic towards the hardships of parenthood. Unfortunately we had to move out of state, so we're no longer in her care, but I wish we never had to leave. We've been away for 3 months now, but my son still talks about Lynda and his friends that he met at her daycare. I would recommend Lynda's Daycare to anyone who is lucky enough to have the opportunity to consider her.

She and her family has given us the peace of mind that we needed especially for the safety of our child. She has such a kind and caring heart for all the little ones she takes care of, she comforts them when needed and takes the effort in finding out what they may need. Lynda shows years of experience in caring for children. Last year, she had her 25 years celebration put together by her family and other family of the children she took care of over the years and it was beautiful to see how many families she's touched and I was glad we are a part of it and so thankful to have found her. Her care feels very personal with every single child. Every holiday and even on regular days they do arts and crafts, sing songs and makes some days extra special. She somehow maintains a peaceful, yet playful environment for the children. Whenever we do drop offs, my LO always seem so happy to be there and filled throughout the day. Throughout the time my LO has been with Lynda's care, from a crawler to a full toddler run, I've seen my LO progressed very well in social skills and cognitive development. Lynda has been a huge part of raising our LO. She is easy to talk to and it's easy to have an open and transparent relationship with her. I've asked her for advice and have also asked her to implement certain ways to help us reach a certain milestones. She'll give her suggestions on where our child should be at a certain age and that has been really helpful for us. She pays attention on their needs and most of the time 5 steps ahead. I love that about her. We truly could not ask for any other daycare out there. I know she'll always be part of our lives.

They've had some wonderful teachers throughout the years that really loved on our children: Sunny teacher, Moon teacher, Laura teacher, Hyunjoo teacher, Kris teacher, to name a few. And a special shout out to Sunny teacher who even buys birthday presents for the kiddos out of her own pocket :`) Unfortunately, the con's outweighed the pro's for us and we moved my daughter to a different Korean Christian preschool a few months ago. And although this new school is farther and less convenient for us, we are SO happy with our decision. We didn't realize how amazing a preschool could be because we didn't know anything else, so I wanted to share my honest review with all the parents out there who want nothing but the best for our precious children. I'll start with the positives: there's a big, grassy area to play in, lots of bikes and car toys to ride outside, animals on the property, homemade Korean lunches, and many loving teachers. And we are so grateful to have met so many wonderful families at this school. Now onto the negatives... sit tight for this one. 1. There is a high turnover rate of teachers. After Sweet class for ages 2-2.5 in less than a year span, my son had FOUR teacher transitions. Some of the teachers had only stayed for a few months! What also didn't sit right with me is the director didn't even inform us one of his teachers left. She instead had another teacher cover that class and hoped we wouldn't notice? Several parents and I were very upset about that and when I addressed this with director Grace, she blamed the teacher for leaving and didn't take any responsibility for her lack of communication. We all know the reason for a high turnover rate of staff members... and frankly, I don't even blame the teachers for leaving, because they're overworked and underpaid. 2. iRemnant is very profit-oriented. While I understand that childcare is a business, it also feels like the school nickel and dimes the families every chance it gets. For example, there is a supply list for each class and some of the requests are quite ridiculous. They want each student's family to buy color card stock paper that costs $25, aluminum foil, disposable gloves, ziploc bags... things the costly tuition should cover. My husband was especially irked when they asked for ice cream donations from families... something the school can buy for literally $20 for ALL the kiddos. They also ask for mandatory "donations" for things like the Christmas performance for videography and costumes, when they literally recycle costumes every year. It's really not about the money... it's about the principle. Don't say the money you're asking for is one thing when it really isn't... there's no integrity in that and it really bums me out that a Christian preschool does this. PLEASE consider the message you're sending with your actions. 3. There is a lot of sitting down and working on worksheets after the toddler class. At age 2. I don't know about you but I really don't want my two-year-old just sitting and coloring all day. I truly believe kids learn best through play and hands-on learning. I also try to limit screen time for my kids and didn't like how they were exposed to TV before age 2: during meal time setup, worship time (all through screens), and at the end of the day. At 5 PM, they gather all the kids in one room and turn on the screen for them. My son came home talking about all these TV shows and movies he watched, so we started picking up our kids before 5 PM to avoid this. Additionally, I'm really turned off by the fact that the director asks current parents to write positive Yelp reviews once a negative one comes in. How uncomfortable for parents to be put in that position, whose children attend the school and are pressured into writing a positive review. In my book, that's completely unethical (and maybe even against Yelp regulations??). And the amazing teachers you read about in the reviews? Probably not there anymore. I REALLY hope iRemnant can turn things around and use the preschool to BLESS the children and families. How amazing it is to have the privilege of raising these little ones in their mind and character! I write this review to help parents make an informed decision for their children's preschool, and I'm also hoping this may lead to some positive changes at the school.

My daughter has been coming to this school for a year now and she has learned so much!…read more We are Latinos and not at all Korean nor do we speak it but what brought me to choose this school was how much they prioritize learning about the gospel They do worship and chapel every single day and start a new lesson every week. Also although my girl is only 3 she already is practicing writing her name and learning about so many different things. Also picking up some Korean words here and there which is amazing. She's also enjoying learning to be independent! They encourage that a lot in school which helps me here at home with how she handles tasks. She's getting such an advantage in education and not only with worksheets (which are important) but also through hands on learning and themed weeks So far she's learned about space, traveling, American and Korean culture, important American history, and so much more! Yes she's 3 and has a lot to learn but learning from this early has been so beneficial for her. They do such cute crafts for all the themed holidays which is my favorite keepsakes at home They are constantly having fun with either birthday parties or parties where the parents have the option to help with donating different foods or treats like ice cream and I don't mind donating at all she loves sharing with her class and bringing things for everyone to try She also gets a great nutrition at the school with daily fresh homemade meals and snack. She's not even picky about greens and veggies since she's been exposed and encouraged at school to try new things all the time. The teachers and staff are very kind and know my daughter very well even if they aren't in her class she knows them all by name. She's also had Christmas performances, ballet performances and they also do taekwondo but my daughter was not interested she did get a free trial though Every penny we spend here is worth it and I definitely recommend it. I remember when I was looking for a daycare and I had so many questions - here is some helpful info about the daycare: Tomato daycare provides nutritious lunches and snacks, which helped my children develop stronger self-eating skills. A menu is provided each month! I was initially nervous about the nap setup but everything worked out nicely. They use floor cots. My kids usually sleep in a dark room with a sound machine but they adjusted effortlessly and slept well from the start. You will bring a crib sheet for the cot and small blanket and these items will be returned to you on Fridays for washing. I brought 2 straw cups for my kids. One for water and one for milk. Potty training support was another huge bonus and helped us tremendously. Pictures are sent every Friday! The holidays are especially magical. Tomato Day Care puts so much effort into making them special. For those who may be wondering, I do not speak Korean and I did not have any issues with communication. In fact, it was great and easy to keep in contact either in person or by text. Ms. Grace and Ms. Yejong have been incredible. Their care, patience, and warmth made such a difference for my kids, and I'm so grateful for them both. My kids have made so many friends and happy memories there. His first day there he went in and loved it, when we told him we were leaving I don't think it had fully set in. His only issue at the beginning was transitions. Transition inside from playing outside, but the teachers adapted and sang a little song to let him know the transition was coming and it helped so much. I quickly noticed him humming at home to help with transitions. We were so fortunate to get this opportunity as the space is extremely limited. There are only two classes and it's limited to 6-7 kids. I think the feeling of uneasinesses about Covid really benefited us getting in. They have got health and safety under control. The daycare does not have a TV and there is no TV time (I find this extremely special). My friend who said she toured many daycares says that all the spots she went to had TVs. They have outdoor time in the mornings, class time and plenty of play time. They take care of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, which is a huge load off our shoulders too. I love that the meals are a mix of Korean and American food. Our little guy loves soup because they have it for lunch all the time. I love Miss. Grace, Ms. Elisa and Ms. Ye Jeong. My little guy thoroughly enjoys his time here. After his initial intro period, he has been going in with no issues and doesn't look back. It's on to the next. It is a blessing to have gotten in and to have such loving educators. There is nothing better than feeling your child is being loved and cared for in a warm, caring and safe environment.

Finding someone you can genuinely trust with your child is not easy, but from the very beginning, Elizabeth exceeded expectations. She always kept me in the loop by sending updates and photos throughout the day, and was super responsive anytime I had a question or needed anything. Her communication and attentiveness gave me great peace of mind as a parent. Best of all, my son absolutely loved his time with her. It was obvious from his mood each day and the photos she shared with me that he was not only well cared for, but also genuinely enjoying himself.
