Peyton's TK graduation at FCA
paula m.

I'm writing this update because I am moved to tears! My son Peyton has been attending since he was 8 months old and now he is 5 and his journey at FCA is coming to a bittersweet end as he transitions to kindergarten. From the beginning the love he received from Ms Lupe and Ms Maria was so reassuring in the infant class. The support he has received from the staff has always encouraged his development and hitting all of his developmental milestones. Ms Jabeen has been instrumental in his last year at FCA. She really takes the time to teach the kids and promotes their independence while still providing the comfort that my sensitive boy needs at times. I just received his annual portfolio and report card and the staff really went above and beyond to put this together for us. You can see his art and projects throughout the year in his binder and I can see the progress he has made from the beginning of the year until the end. The director Ms Maggie has been great as well as the teacher assistants. I LOVE Ms Cathy. Actually I love them all! On a separate note, I had a second baby a year and a half ago and I had no hesitation to have him join FCA as soon as I could (8 weeks old) because I knew what great care he would receive with Ms Lupe. He recently has transitioned to Ms Kira's class and is also doing great developmentally. I really can't say enough good things for what FCA has done for my kids and there's not enough I could do to repay them. Thank you thank you thank you to all the great staf

Baby Kamila having a great day

I'm so glad I made the right choice switching to Fullerton Children's Academy. I have a toddler and an infant and they both have great teachers. Always positive, friendly and GREAT communication. I go to work with no worries.

Class work!

They implemented these principles effectively to help my son develop a strong foundation for future academic and social success. In addition to the more standard Montessori training around sensory and fine motor development, my son also received drills in math, writing, spelling, and reading, to help him prepare for education beyond the Montessori classroom. The teachers also helped my son make tremendous progress in learning English. When we first moved to this area from Shanghai, my son only spoke Chinese at home and was not fluent in English. However, after attending this school for one year, he is now able to fluently speak English. I would highly recommend this kindergarten to all parents, especially those who want their children to be well-socialized and have a strong foundation for academic success. I couldn't be happier with my son's experience at this school.

As a former Montessori student, this school stays true to the Montessori method of teaching. There are plenty of hands-on learning materials that are age appropriate from 2 years old in preschool to 7 years old in K-1. The kids are able to learn at their own pace and enjoy an environment of collaborative play and learning. Every child of mine who entered preschool had their initial episodes of tears and crying in the first few months. But the teachers at Montessori of Brea are so kind with their loving voices, gentle nudges, and guided redirection to help the children focus on their learning and forget about the separation from parents. Ms. Kim was our preschool teacher for our first 2 daughters and is currently teaching our 3 year old. Our whole family LOVES Ms. Kim! When my two older grade school kids come to pick up our baby, they ALWAYS have to come to give Ms. Kim a hug! She is caring, loving, and has great communication with parents at drop off and/or pick up. There are a total of 4 teachers for the classroom, but I'm amazed at Ms. Kim's organization and memory having to be the primary teacher of 28+ kids and knowing each child's ability. I can barely handle remembering my 3! Ms. Dana was our most recent K-1 teacher and she is just as great! Her lessons helped prepare my daughter for school outside of Montessori. Her open communication and constant use of technology helped prepare us for future apps used in grade school. Ms. Dana was very active in providing updates, even sending pictures to all the class parents of special events and personal messages for individual achievements! With the help of ALL the teachers at Montessori of Brea, our oldest daughter got into GATE (Gifted & Talented Education) and is excelling. Our second daughter is reading three grade levels above her current grade and is thriving at her new school thanks to the teachers and Montessori of Brea. I can only give my highest recommendation for this place! I tell all my neighbors and friends in the area about Montessori of Brea because it has helped our children succeed in and out of the classroom.

I started to sending my daughter to Fullerton location last Aug and I am so happy about that decision. I was concerned because this was the first English speaking school that my daughter was attending, coupled with her very introverted personality. The teachers and directors of course tried to comfort me letting me know she will really like the school and now, I am realizing that they truly meant it. They did everything they could within their ability for my daughter to be brought up speed with English, academics and socially. Now, she has many friends in school and loves going to school every day! I am so thankful that I got this amount of support for my daughter from all teachers and directors who are committed to provide positive learning environment for each student. On top of that, their communication was amazing and always professional. My daughter suffers from eczema and allergies and I was always the first one to know when she broke out in rash, which I really appreciated. Again, I know these parent reviews were super helpful for me when choosing a school for our children so I am leaving my review here so it can be also helpful to other parents.

They nickel and dime you to death. They will charge you for sneezing in the wrong place. And during the COVID crisis, they are still charging for the daycare hours. They claim to be offering instruction online, but they aren't offering daycare. It doesn't bother me as much, but we know of families with babies in room 1. The videos this place is posting don't help at all. They aren't providing their service anymore and they are not adjusting the room 1 families' tuition. That's just not right. So, we like the treatment our children received here, but I question the ethics of a place that is this much about the bottom line.

Our youngest started in the Toddler classroom with Ms. Karla, while our oldest has been in the Preschool classroom with Ms. Salzman. Watching both of them grow, develop confidence, and genuinely enjoy going to school has been incredibly rewarding and affirms our decision. As a school, Arborland is exceptionally well organized. The campus is clean, secure, and well maintained, and the staff consistently demonstrate professionalism, kindness, and a genuine commitment to the children. Our kids also participate in the extended childcare program, which has been a wonderful experience. They genuinely enjoy that time with their friends and teachers, so much so that there are days when they do not want to leave. One of the main reasons we chose Arborland was because we wanted a more structured Montessori toddler program than what we found at many other nearby schools serving children 18 months and older. Ms. Karla created exactly the environment we were hoping for. She is warm, patient, and incredibly caring, while also setting clear expectations and consistent boundaries that the children understand and respect. We truly appreciated the balance she brings to her classroom. Another aspect we especially valued was that Ms. Karla and her assistant teachers spoke Spanish with our daughter throughout the day. As parents raising bilingual children, having that support reinforced what we practice at home and has been a meaningful part of her early education. The Montessori approach has been an excellent fit for our independent, curious, and strong-willed daughter. She has now transitioned into the Preschool program, and we can already see how well prepared she is thanks to the strong foundation built in the Toddler classroom. We are incredibly grateful to Ms. Karla and her assistant teachers for giving our daughter such a positive start to her educational journey. We also appreciate Ms. Salzman and the entire Arborland team for creating an environment where both of our children continue to learn, grow, and thrive. We wholeheartedly recommend Arborland to families looking for a nurturing, structured, and high-quality Montessori education.

My oldest is now in the Primary class with Maestra Michelle and Maestra Aurora, and my second is finishing the toddler class with Ms Karla and her assistants, Ms Melissa, Ms Ally, and Ms Marissa. I randomly received personal messages from Ms Karla and Maestra Michelle about my kids' day, their accomplishments, or just something silly they did, with a picture! I cannot express how lucky we are to have teachers that genuinely love the kids so much. It has been such joy to see our kids thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and in every way! I remember when they first started school, they were little people that barely knew how to talk. Day after day, month after month, they started to put words together, making sentences, then started to tell stories about their day at school. One day they surprised me with putting away their own toy! Then another surprise, putting on their own shoes! They learned independence, and courtesy, and so much more! We are so happy that our kids are at Arborland, thriving under lots of love and care. Thank you Arborland! Especially to the teachers and staffs!!

He would come home talking about her and everything he was learning, and it was such a joy to see how much confidence she helped him build. She truly helped him break out of his shell, and we are amazed by how much he learned this year. Ms. Orozco is truly an exceptional teacher. My daughter had Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Tan as she entered 2nd grade, and she was also a little shy because she didn't know anyone. They were so kind and supportive and really encouraged her to make new friends and feel like she belonged. We saw such wonderful growth in her throughout the year, both emotionally and academically, and that means so much to us as parents. It was clear that they truly care about their students and want to see them succeed. We also want to thank the front office staff, who were always great and made communication easy throughout the year. They were helpful, welcoming, and always pleasant to work with. The principal is also very attentive and approachable, which made us feel even more confident in the school. She works graveyard and needed a place for her little one to be taken care of during the day while she got some rest. She saw Love & Care Montessori and asked me to check it out for her along with several other locations because she didn't have the time due to her schedule. I called and made an appointment with the owner, Yael, whom was very nice and gave me a tour of everything. So for those of you out there here is my review: 1) First thoughts: When I walked in, all I can say is that my inner child came to life! I mean I looked around and there is litterally every toy immaginable. From small cars to dinosaurs to even puzzles and games, this place had everything. I kind of wish I had a place like this for my childhood years. Yael went on to explain that she teaches on montessori methods as she gave me a tour of the house. 2) Layout: What I thought was most impressive was how every room was organized and how each room served it's own purpose. Even more astounding, the play areas in both the back and front yards were extensive, with slides and play houses and little cars to ride around, I thought to myself, if I had a kid I would want him/her to come here. They even had an enclosed trampoline in the back yard so that the kids could jump around and have fun while protected by the netting; how cool! Inside there are three seperate rooms. There's the play room when you first walk in, followed by the infant room, and finally the lunch room. 3) Schedule: Yael went over the daily routines of all the children from snack and lunch times to nap times and daily activities, arts and crafts and play times. All in all, everything seemed very organized and planned out in comparison to some of the other daycares I checked out. 4) Pricing: I compared the prices of the other daycares I visited and this one. For the weekly price, Love & Care Montessori had more to offer than similar daycares in the area for around the same weekly rate, give or take $10. 5) Atmosphere: What I really enjoyed was the homelike feel that this daycare had. It felt warm and inviting from start to finish. I think mostly in part by Yael. My first thoughts on her is that she had a lot of energy and a fun loving personality. Compared to the other dayares that I visited only one other one had a similar feeling when you walk right in. I felt that if I had a child I would be comfortable leaving him/her at this daycare for prolonged periods of time. Final thoughts: There are many daycares out there. Out of all the daycares I have visited, I thoroughly enjoyed all the things Love & Care Montessori and owner Yael had to offer. I am definitely recommending this place to my friend Steph and I recommend this to all of you as well who are reading my review. It might not be for everyone, but I encourage you to check it out.

However, last year (2024-2025 school year) things changed. I first noticed there were some teachers that left from the previous school year, and some other "minor" changes. Most importantly, the teachers my child had were amazing for Kindergarten! There were truly awesome from the beginning to end. Unfortunately, the administrative staff did not provide the students with a Kindergarten picture and a class picture like the year prior. I personally feel those are important memories for the families and the children. Then as the school year went on, I noticed there were less activities than the prior year. Once the school year ended, MORE great and awesome teachers left the school!!!! I have prior experience working in education and from what I know and have seen, when there is so much teacher turnover year after year, it is because more than likely the administrative staff is not taking care of the teachers.
