We feel incredibly grateful and thankful to have found this daycare for our little one. Before coming here, he was in an in-home daycare, but shortly after starting at this school, we saw such positive changes. His manners improved, he started eating better, his ability to socialize grew, and even his speech developed so much. We were actually referred by our neighbors, who have three little ones. They shared that this daycare was even better than the one they used in Irvine, where they paid double the price for each child! That gave us the confidence to give this place a try, and we are so glad we did. It's a Montessori style daycare, which we love, but what truly makes this place special is the teachers. They have all been here for a long time and genuinely know how to care for and guide little ones. My son absolutely adores his teachers Ms. Rita, Ms. Alba, Ms. Ivonne, Ms. Jocelyn, and Ms. Heidi. I t's such a blessing to have a whole team of amazing teachers caring for your child every day! He also looks forward to seeing Ms. Deeana in the after-school program daily and does not want to go home until day care is almost closing. This is how much fun he has at daycare! It is definitely his second home. Another wonderful thing about this daycare is that the kids are truly able to just be kids while learning how to play and interact with others. We have had an absolutely wonderful experience at MLS! The teachers are truly exceptional--experienced, passionate, and deeply committed to meeting each child's unique needs. They strike the perfect balance between being firm yet gentle, providing guidance that has given my kids the tools to blossom! My children have grown tremendously, not only in their academic abilities but also in their personal and social development, consistently surpassing milestones. My daughter, who started in Ms. Deanna's Pre-K class and is now in Ms. Bridget's Elementary class, has blossomed in both confidence (especially as an introverted child) and in her reading and math skills. My son began in the infant class for a short time and is now thriving in Ms. Rita's Preschool class--he amazes us every day with his growing independence, educational achievements, and even his manners (that I definitely did not teach him!) He enjoys school so much that sometimes I have to convince him to come home! Ms. Rita, Ms. Deanna, and Ms. Bridget are phenomenal teachers who truly go above and beyond. Their dedication, teamwork, and genuine care create a warm, welcoming environment where every child is supported. My daughter had a really rough time when she started and the kindness and support I saw the teachers give to her as she was adjusting, and have seen how they comfort other kids just starting school, have really highlighted to me how wonderful they are. They truly meet every child where they are at. Communication is excellent--they reach out when needed (splitting calls between me and my husband, which we appreciate), and school events like back to school nights and open houses give us valuable insights into our children's progress. My son Jeremiah has been attending for over a year. He started before he turned 1. I previously lost my job because the previous daycare said he was too clingy and they couldn't deal with him. Since attending MLC, he has grown so much. The infant room was amazing. They are so kind, loving, and patient. He turned 2 in December, I was worried how he would do with the change. Since he started Miss Rita's class, he has been talking way more. He learned his shapes, colors, and alphabet. He's a chatterbox. My daughter had been here for a few years now she started off in the nursery and now in the toddler class which all the staff has been amazing and each one of them knows my daughter by name which shows that they take the time to get to know each child. Originally, I sang this schools praises. While I still absolutely adore Ms. Deanna, sadly, there have been a lot of negative changes. In the fall, a new director took over, and a lot of staff left. The turnover has continued and the school has been short staffed since, due to continued turnover. Recently, it was discovered that a new staff member was leaving the children unattended. The new director was made aware, and still refused to do anything until a parent threatened to call licensing. In an email sent to the owner, I requested that moving forward I be made aware of any changes in teacher, or curriculum. Also, if my daughters class was ever left unattended again, to be made aware. Essentially asking for transparency moving forward. In their response, the owner doesn't even feign embarrassment. The response I got was frigid, and unconcerned. Stating that they would be transparent when possible, keeping confidentiality laws in mind. Confidentiality? When it comes to my child being left unattended? Interesting to say the least. The other major issue was that Ms. Deanna's schedule had changed, and a new assistant was being left with the task of teaching the curriculum for 1 hour every morning. Many parents started to notice regressions, and many parents were raising concerns. In addition, we were all noticing that in the mornings the assistant was never teaching, but on her phone while children played. I even asked her a question about the curriculum once, what the letter of the week was, and she wasn't able to answer. Telling. Why was a new, under qualified assistant, left unattended with the task of educating our children? This is the same staff member that was found to be leaving the children unattended. I mentioned my concerns multiple times to the new director, only to be met with excuses, and empty promises. The staff member in question was let go, but in the process many concerns and complaints were being made, and yet there was no accountability for them until calls to licensing were threatened. The lack of integrity on behalf of the new director is alarming. The staff, that is wonderful, seems to be undervalued and mistreated, which would contribute to such high turnover. Parents are met with continued excuses and empty promises, and even when concerning child safety, action is only taken when licensing is on the line. The lack of accountability for the director is also a major concern. The owners lack of compassion or concern for the children's safety made it clear to me that my daughter was nothing more than a paycheck in their eyes. I pulled my daughter out and placed her in a public school. She is now back on track academically, and although she does miss Ms. Deanna, she seems happy in her new setting. Save yourself nearly a thousand dollars a month, and a major headache. Stay away from this school. read more

Our son absolutely thrived at this amazing preschool. He started when he was 3 years old and just recently moved on to "big school" (kindergarten) at age 5. Our son is naturally more on the shy side, but with the help of these fantastic teachers, he was able to grow leaps and bounds in his confidence, poise, and his ability to communicate. He even became....talkative! We couldn't believe it. They have just the right amount of structure, but also care deeply for each child and what they need, so they make adjustments to lesson plans and communication styles to fit just what your child needs. Both my kids have been attending for about 2.5yrs and they love going there. My son loves Ms Rita and Ms Ivon he says they are really nice and caring. My daughter enjoys being in Ms Deanna's class and in Ms Elbonys class. Very nice staff and are great with communication. My kids are learning a lot and have made great friendships there. I currently have my daughter enrolled here. She loves it some days she doesn't want to leave . She started when she was a year old and it was so hard for me to leave her with strangers but I was comfortable in knowing my son had liked it here when he was here. My son started here when he was 3 and he still remembers it. It is definitely expensive in my opinion but I feel like you get what you pay for and I appreciate the care and kindness they show towards the children and parents. I'm sure it's not easy but they do a great job. I've only run into 1 staff member I was not too fond of but thankfully she was in charge of the older children and by then my daughter will start in regular school. The director here is very sweet and flexible. The hours are convenient and they are open during the summer. They always try to incorporate birthdays and holiday activities with the kiddos. So as you can imagine, I was more stressed about the thought of putting my little one in another daycare after that experience. I searched long and hard and came to find this amazing daycare. Melissa is the director here and she has been nothing but wonderful! She's answered hundreds of questions and was patient with me! All the teachers here are so genuinely kind! (Ms. Rita, Cathia, Letty, Leslie) I apologize if I spelled your names incorrectly! My baby is extra needy and I can tell when I pick her up that she loves all these ladies because they take such great care of her! Also, I have some annoying special requests and they make sure they follow as best as they can! These ladies care for all the babies as if they're their own and it makes me feel at ease! Where should I start?! I absolutely love this place!! My oldest attended 2 years, while my son has been attending since he was a year old. Many get intimidated by the Montessori way of teaching, however it is very impressive how much the children absorb and learn at such advanced levels. The teachers are very involved with not just the students as a whole, but as an individual as well. The girls are absolutely amazing. They are more than just teachers to their kids, they become family. They are passionate, trust worthy, and truly love children. The director is very involved and approachable. She communicates with parents very well and stays on top of everything that is needed to be done. The school is well maintained and very clean, even before COVID. They make sure that every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of the children. The teacher to student ratio is amazing. You always have at least 2 teachers in every class and no more than 10 students to a class. Everyone helps each other and everyone is always involved! I definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE! I can't tell you how much I love this school, my girls have been here for about 7 months and they have wonderful teachers and they are so loving with both my girls. My oldest is in the 1st grade class room and is learning at a rapid speed which is amazing, if she's having a hard time with something they will go ahead a practice more with her on what she needs help on. My youngest is in the infant room and has been since she was 8 weeks and I can't tell you how much the teachers love her and show her love and take care of her as if she was her own. My daughter attended this school from 2-7yrs old. Class ratios are small and manageable and the teachers are amazing: knowledgeable, experienced, gentle, on point and extremely dedicated. Events are well organized and incorporate an educational theme for the kiddos. My daughter's reading level is above average and it's all thanks to the Montessori technique. We love this school! The first time I brought my son to this daycare center I knew he was in good hands. Ms. Everson, the owner/director at the time, just had an immediate bond with my 4 month old. I was in constant contact with his caregiver, Marian, and man can she swaddle! My son was the ultimate wiggle out of a swaddle baby, but not with hers! The teachers at this daycare pour their heart and souls into the Montessori curriculum. Ms. Rita was SO incredibly patient when my son transitioned over to the pre k class. Ms Rita is amazing, loving, caring and soooo patient with the Children. She is the reason why we kept our child enrolled here after what was supposed to be only a temporary solution for us since our sons caregiver became ill. My child has truly thrived at this school. Ms Deanna is the most soft spoken, nurturing, patient, and empathetic teacher I've ever met. She was able to get my shy and quiet child to talk and play with the other children. He is now 4 but starting at 3.5 years old, he knew his alphabet, wrote in lower & upper case, counted to 30, added, and wrote his own first and last name which he now knows by memory. This has given him a solid foundation for his future education. My son, as well as the other children, flock to Ms Deanna. My son always tells me how much he loves her. Ms Erika is also so wonderful with the kids. She makes them (as well as us parents) laugh and feel comfortable. My child and I enjoy seeing and talking to her everyday. Anyone who gets these two as their teacher/teachers aide is lucky! Ms Melissa is the director who is very organized and gets the job done. She handled all of my questions quickly and professionally. I definitely saw an improvement on the backend once Ms Melissa became the director. If I could keep my son here forever, I truly would. These teachers bring a warmth that many schools lack. ichael Harrison in the last week Having bad experiences with one toddler teacher in room 1. Watched her grab and drag a child across the floor. The poor boy wasn't acting out, he just didn't want to sit in the reading circle. Also picked up my daughter the other day and she had apple sauce all down her front and this particular teacher said " Laundry is your job, not mine!" However we give them changes of clothes for this sort of thing. Picked my daughter up today and she had 7 hours worth of snot crusted all over her face, this is unacceptable. My daughter also has been telling us that she has been being spanked recently and she is now afraid of diaper changes because this particular teacher holds her legs up too high and my daughter left with a limp last week because of this. I plan on handeling this accordingly and contacting the proper authorities. I have only witnessed this one teacher being harsh and mean. The other staff is kind. The last complaint I have about the facility is there lack of security and interest of who they buzz through the gate. They do not screen who comes in, literally buzz everyone in. I sent my friend over to check the accuracy of this and he was let in and no one said a thing to him. He does not have a child enrolled and is not on our ICE list. I was very disturbed. Also their retaining wall on harbor blvd is only chest high and offers zero security from intruders. We will not be using this daycare any longer and I ask any other parents to be wearry of this facility. It was one of the least expensive schools we found, but you get what u pay for and my little girl is worth much more than this school. Concerned parent and action taker read more
